Pretty variable… anywhere from 1min to 23hrs for me. Sometimes a subsequent order arrives before the 1st (different accs), and sometimes you get the email but 1 or more links don't work and then a couple hours later they do.
… I've bought so many gc I'm pretty sure I've left balances and problem even got some unused bcos of refunds, or other.thanks mate that helps. cheers.

Any tips on how to get past the "To buy a gift card, you need an eBay and PayPal account."?
My PayPal account is linked and I've created a UK ebay account. Are there instructions hidden away in a previous post or similar?
Note: also getting an error "This item cannot be purchased because this item cannot be sent to your delivery address." in cart, but doesn't stop me from progressing to check out. I've used a friend's address in London so not sure how to get past that error, if it is a problem.

Very surprised this time it actually worked. Spent waaaay too long with too much false hope with the 18% off sale, but this time it went through the first time! I applied the code before selecting payment and paid with Paypal.
Normally it works when the deal just started. Then the issues escalated when a bit late to join the party

SUCCEED FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!
The trick is:
1, Register an eBay UK account, add two addresses: one random UK address and one your real AU address(matches your PayPal account?)
2, in eBay App, log in using eBay UK account, change location to UK manually
3, add cards to cart, pay as paypal, go back
4, switch primary address to AU real address
5, back to cart, apply code and pay

new'ish accounts have to go through a vetting process where they get you to link up paypal over the phone. had to get transferred to the UK dept in order to get that done

Got all sorts of problems people mentioned in the post. Got it sorted and scored 5 * $200 gift cards by using NordVPN to UK. Had to say the NordVPN was slow like hell …
Also had to disable ADGuard, it seemed to be one of the sources of the problems I had.

I had the same issue, I tried using 2 different cards and it kept on telling me to use a different card/paypal account.
So just be aware you don't want to spend too much, that will bring the risk of getting yourself banned

Gift cards can only be used to purchase the real thing, can't be used to purchase gift cards, so no stack

@FLICKIT: yes, the gift cards can be used on eBay.com.au but it can be used to buy foreign items (e.g. items from eBay.com). i did, and it worked, about a week ago.

I just didn't buy more than AU$ 500 and I wished that I did.
I used it immediately, for something that I had been eyeing from the U.S.
( that 18% discount disappeared when you take into account US$ conversion, US shipping costs and the pesky 'import duties' these days on eBay )This time, I feel like I can skip this, because I'm stocked up on 10% gift-cards, from the last 6+ months,
and it's harder to find deals on eBay, when AliExpress has more stock (and cheaper) and lots more items popping up on Gumtree or Fb Marketplace, and I can't use eBay coupons there.Bought 1 gift card. Just have 1 limit left :)
