I had the same. Had to create a new UK account with a new email and UK details then add au address at last step.
Create UK account. Keep delivery address to AU and turn off auto locate and change the country to UK
I use the app to change the location in combination with buying on the browser.
Works fine for me, I did go easy on this one though, just 2 x 250 wish cards. Don't want my accounts banned. I spent over 4k on the last deal so not going to push my luck on this one.
Just tried to use ebay gift cards from previous ebay UK promotion. Added them during checkout, clicked on "Confirm and Pay" and the system came out with an error: "Something went wrong. Please try to check out again.". Gift card funds were withdrawn, but the item remains unsold. Be careful with these gift cards.

Hadn't attempted previous deals and spent hours last night getting errors. Called PayPal this morning and once I got through it took him only a few seconds to fix it. Ordered eBay gift cards, delivered in 10 mins. Already spent them!
I just called paypal and the guy said that this seller was flagged for an 'unsecured transaction'. I would need to contact the seller to arrange for a different payment option. WTF. For some reason I can get WISH cards but get the greyed out paypal payment option issue when trying to check out an ebay gift card.

Make sure to use the uk site. When clicking around the gift cards you can sometimes be redirected to the AU site where the code obviously doesn't work

Tell the paypal customer service that you need to buy something on ebay uk, but an error occures while linking your paypal account. I called yesterday, the lady said the same thing, but I called again just now, another lady helped me out.

What is with the paypal ebay store? Any link to "all seller's items", "items for sale" or "see all items" returns zero results. So how do people actually find the gift cards offered by PayPal ebay store?

I don't know… You haven't bought any other gift cards on this account in the last 10 days have you?… Maybe try removing everything from your cart, log out and back in, add different cards, insert the coupon code before clicking the Paypal check box…
Missed the 18% one by a mere 15mins. Wondering if anyone knew the maximum you could buy per account. It says max discount $136, is that just for 1 transaction? Or in total regardless of the number of transactions?
I wanted to buy about $2K of ebay cards, to use on a new GPU next year (not the current gen 2080 Ti's).
You can only buy a total of 5 gift cards every 10 day period on each ebay account, so with 5 x $200 cards the max discount is only $100…
Some people make multiple account to buy more cards but that seems to increase the risks of all accounts being suspended, and increases potential Paypal issues…

Use the same PayPal for everything is fine. Just new eBay account. I used the same PayPal for everything but trying a new one never worked.
I've got an issue where it says "This item cannot be purchased because this item cannot be sent to your delivery address." In the cart for the ebay gift vouchers.
I've created a UK ebay account & put in a UK address & linked my paypal account, which comes up fine if i try to buy anything else on UK ebay
If I try to continue on with buying the vouchers it doesn't let me pay with paypal "We can't process your payment. Please select a different payment method or check your payment details including your billing address."
Anyone got any suggestions?

And then I limked paypal account and it said paypal is currently unavailable. So I payed with my card and it says order went through but then in my purchases page it says payment pending
The previous deal also didn't work. Last time they dissallowed it and it said there was a buying limit, then when I called ebay they said they would get it working but they only made the order go through but the payment never processed.

You can buy max of 5 gc but you only get one go at it. Should have bought max you can get gc.

Hey just to confirm if you use this code via a UK account to purchase an item over 1000 dollars from Australia would you get hit by any duty fees that you otherwise wouldn't have when buying using your original AU account?
I don't believe so.. If you add them to your cart and go to checkout it should show up the top right if there's tax added, like it does with GST on the Aussie site with gear from overseas…

Careful with this one, I just had my Australian and UK account both suspended and they're refusing to budge as the UK address wasn't valid and can't be verified.

Haha! Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah I thought it was harsh they denied an appeal as well. Not that it's super important, I don't really think there are any benefits to having a long-term eBay account in good standing if you're mostly buying.
How did they identify your Australian account as linked to your uk account?
well they could have looked at all accounts under his name, but it seems ridiculous and abnormal that they would ban all his accounts
Great question, most likely because I used the same Paypal account on both. Sort of a double edged sword because having the same postal address as my verified Paypal account is part of what got this to work without some of the security issues others have been facing. That said, it also meant they could identify me more easily. My Paypal didn't get banned so that's something.
Did you get banned after purchasing the gift cards? If so, do they invalidate your gift cards and you lose the money you spent?

I had to call Paypal to make it available, and it worked. Hopefully I dont get any account suspension now

I've seen some comments here not to use the main account but other comments mention that they've encountered an issue when creating another paypal account with the same credit card? Not sure what to do.
Use your main local PayPal account, it works fine. I Use app to change region while buying in browser.
It’s all trial and error, if you have patience and read others methods then it can work for you.

- add 3x$150 to cart, checkout and sign up new account with spare email account, a business address in london and phone number
- tried to checkout again failed, read some tips, added a AUS delivery address as primary, linked my usual paypal account
- checkout and worked - egift cards received within 10 minutesThanks to @danielh links, got 2x$25, 2x$50 woolworths egift cards too. It won't let me add more than 4 cards? It didn't work first time. Got SMS from Paypal saying earlier transaction was suspicious. I replied and confirmed it was me, tried checkout again and it worked? But it says "Your payment is pending", hopefully goes through.

Sound like a region issue. Are you logged in to ebay.co.uk domain? Do you have uk primary address but AU delivery? Have you changed region from auto detect to AU (easy via ebay app)
FYI For anyone wanting to know how to do it
1: Go to ebay.co.uk website
2: Sign up with another email
3: Find the item you want to buy, when you go to checkout it asks you to input your address and number
4: Type in google Fake UK Address. There are multiple websites which gives you a random address and number. Paste info and go to checkout
5: When in checkout edit your address to your real address and viola. You got your 10% offThis solves the issue linked to address but doesn't help with the issue of paypal being blocked as a payment option
I had paypal blocked issue - even went on the phone with paypal twice to see if they an unblock it. The only thing they can do is a 'security override'. after each override (they say there's a limit of 3), you try to check out the gift cards with the discount code - but it never worked for me. So I just used the native 'enter credit card' option and put in my aussie bank debit card and voila, i checked out.
Got my paypal account blocked at last deal :(
and there is a problem right now.
