Hi all,
The Gamesmen on eBay have the new Series 2 Xbox One Elite Controller for $221.81 + free shipping with the POWA15 eBay Plus deal. RRP is $249.95 and I haven't seen any price drops yet so this might be the first. Still quite expensive but if you're in the market for the best of the best, here it is.

Mod Note: Coupon Code has been replaced with POW15, and no longer eBay Plus exclusive.

    • Excellent for PC.

I used my series 1 with a cable for a solid year before grabbing an Xbox controller receiver for cheap. Same app available for adjusting stick responses/button mapping as the Xbox has, so you're not limited by anything.

what make this thing so expensive?

    • It's a dream to use, really. Being able to just chuck it back on its magnetic dock to charge (USB C too) and quickly change presets, triggers and paddles is awesome. It's the Xbox One X of controllers

Stop it, you're going to talk me into getting one.

Surely not worth the price of the console it connects to..well the S anyway… Just sounds crazy to me…but I'm old so what would I know Hahaha

This will go great with my Gold-Leaf Doritos and Vintage-Reserve Monster

Comparing this to a top gaming PC keyboard or mouse and it seems ridiculously overpriced.

    • Probably don't compare it to that then

  • Any good specials on a standard controller?

  • Wait waitr wait…. Take out Ebay sellers…are the only brick and mortar stores selling this thing EB and JB Hi fi?! Where's Hardly Normal, Good Guys, or some other electronics retailer with stock??

  • Any real world advantages over the much cheaper but very good One controller?

    • No real world advantage… it doesn’t create its own electricity or make food for your while gaming…

Gaming world advantage - largely a better controller for FPS type game play and fighting (but I only use for FPS, can’t comment on fighting).
The tweaking and trigger locks allow for a more rapid input (like shooting and aiming), with the levers under neath customisable for other actions like moving RB/LB. effectively allowing you keep your primary fingers on triggers (depending how you play).

    What's different between each series

    • +1

Additional profile slot (button press vs switch), a couple of additional tweak options when you open the app. Built in battery with USB-C connection. The triggers have an additional locking point, so much more sensitive profile for rapid press in FPS.

Overall feel, feels better and solid compared to series 1.

Didn’t read all comments (so forgive me!).

    Whilst slightly more expensive.

RACQ gift cards for EB are 7% off. So price is $231 (and some change).

Preferred to pick mine up in person, so went the non-ozb way and forewent the $10 savings on this deal.

Controller feels much better than series 1. Trumps the GOW edition I have been using. If any one is serious for Xbox or pc use, I would recommend the upgrade. Would not recommend the splurge if you don’t use the functions. Standard control is just fine.

so for this price does it come with aimbot, fast trigger, spinbot?

  • I bought this with a previous Ebay code (same price as title). Gave the old Elite to my wife. Now we cowpeople in Red Dead Online. Worth it. Yeehaw!

  • Hi all, what is the actual warranty like on this bad boy? I have a series 1 from day 1 cost me like $250 or so with WiFi adapter and it still works quite well. I spilt come on it at one point so was lucky with mine.

I have read 90 days warranty in the Us and also in the UK so I get the feeling there not expecting these to be as good of build quality as the first series?

There is multiple complaints about buttons sticking and other various issues already. Maybe it's best to wait it out.

I spilt come on it at one point

      wut

    • Maybe you were lucky. The controller wasn’t. That’s a testament to extensive QC testing.
