    1366 x 768? Ouch.

    • I have the C330 and honestly the HD IPS display is not that bad.

      There is the 14" 1920 x 1080 https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/lenovo-s340-14-inches-chromeb… same price.
But this more of a plastic version, no touch screen.

There is a 15" version of this chromebook, but I haven't seen it in Australia.

      • Fwiw, S340 comes with a higher resolution but TN panel. If possible, check both C340 and S340 in-store for display comparison.

        • S340 doesn't have the touch panel, or ability to fold in half, otherwise it is comparable.

With the C340, for the most part we can replace the Pixel 7 my kid has been using for some time, so choosing the C340 over the S340 is the choice made for us.

@MaxiPower - need to consider this is mainly for primary school kids and schools either limit the maximum screen size, of you need to consider their ability to transport the device without knocking/breaking it.

  • I am in the market for new Chromebook, any recommendations. I need fast processor and 2 in 1 Chromebook. Appreciate your help.

Chromebooks have a limited support lifespan (5 years from first release I believe), so you need to assess how long the device would be actively used for support. If you want a long supported life, then you should choose a recently released device like this device.

Just as a hint, google maintains a list of Chromebooks and their associated Auto Update Expiration date. Chromebooks that are past the date stops getting updates.

It appears the expiry date for this Lenovo book is Jun 2026. Which means that if you're buying this year, you'll be covered for another 6 and half years still.

ahh yes, I knew it existed, just not where to look for it.

          Thanks for posting it.

        • After the expiry date, can you still use the chromebook from the google app or became useless?

    • When you say you need fast processor, do you intend do software development on Chromebook?

      • Just for study and apps

Celeron 4000 is plenty fast for Chromebooks. Next higher is Pentium gold at around $600. Then it's silly money for any core m range.

  • needs to be sub 300
