      That's pretty standard nowadays. If they used one 16GB stick they'd miss out on the one or two percent performance increase that dual channel gives you ;)

    Doesn't even have PCIE Gen4, probably not very good for workstation either.

    The CPU looks like a $1000 part, at least it was anyway until Intel slashed the pricing to better compete with Ryzen 9.

        Actually I bet it would cost more accounting for the money you lose by not working, especially if you don't have experience with home building. A pc on the other hand only takes about an hour to build for a noob (so could easily be done after work) and maybe 30 mins for windows to install.

    I think the issue here is it's labelled as a gaming PC but it's not going to very good value for money in the area.

    As a workstation/gaming PC it might be ok. But it's still over the budget I would want. It's a hard sell for Intel HEDT and Skylake X parts with the Ryzen 3900x and 3950X both offering better value for money at the moment.

    A quick check on PCPartPicker showed I could build a 3900X and 2080 Super build with better peripherals than the above for about $3k. That included a 280mm AIO and other features you could realistically trim down. I'm sure there's local computer stores that could do a build for $3300 or under.
