Fairy Platinum Plus Dishwasher Tablets Pk 45 - $8.58 after Stacking Coupon @ Woolworths

2550

G'day all,

This week Woolworths has the Fairy Platinum Plus Dishwasher Tablets half price ($17.50 down from $35). But if you stack the attached coupon the price comes down to $8.58 (75% savings)

Notes

  • Coupon wouldn't scan from my phone as a photo but when I printed it and took a hardcopy it scanned fine
  • Confirmed working in Darwin and in Canberra - So likely Nation wide.
  • You can only buy one packet per coupon - so you'll need to perform multiple independent transactions if you're buying more than one.
  • If you're buying a bunch of them the Self-Serve checkouts would be the most low profile option
  • I haven't tried but it might work with online orders as well - if you're ordering just one.

  • Coupon must be surrendered at checkout. So, it's basically a YMMV deal?

No self serve "approval needed" after scanning?

    • +2

I bought four packets using the same coupon & no approval was required.

      • Same transaction? 💐😁

    • Thanks mate. worked like a charm.

    • Thanks Schema! Legendary!!

Just got 11 of them from Lisarow.

    • Both this hi res barcode and the ops one scan as 1c for me. Anyone else getting that?

      • Yeah, but its an additional charge of 1c and also discounts the tablets.

        • Not for me. Price stayed at $17.50 for the 45 tablets and just added 1c.

          • @C0mbat: Did you try and scan it again? This happen to me, i had to double scan the code and then it discounted.

    • Worked perfectly on my phone, thanks!

      • Did you scan on bottom or side reader?
How far was your phone away from the scanner?
Did you have to increase the brightness of the phone?

I had to get the self checkout lady to enter the code in for me..
I used the high res image supplied.

    • thanks!! - worked on self check out!

Wouldn't waste the money I have had 2 dishwashers and tried every tablet under the sun and nothing has beat these https://shop.coles.com.au/a/a-sa-metro-parabanks/product/col… 30 pack and there 6 bucks seriously worth the try

    • Including ALDI’s? I just bought them to try

      • +10

I can vouch for the Aldi ones. Great value and excellent cleaning results. I recently learnt how to stack the dishes properly; didn't realise was doing it wrong my whole life.

        • +1

+1 for the aldis. I noticed that on the shortest wash my dishwasher wasn't always using the whole tablet, started cutting them in half, problem solved and now half the price

          • +1

@Jackson: Take the clear wrapper off. Annoying but it works.

            • @Oz em: I always do, not annoying at all

        • +16

Explain and teach, please, how to stack them properly?

        • +1

Any tips for us useless dishwasher stackers?

        • Yeah but what about stacking the dishes?

        • +1

I read once that a good portion of arguments between couples was because of they way the other person stacked the dishwasher.

    • +1

What are they called? Coles website hates all my browsers since upgrading to Android 10 "browser not supported" chrome, firefox, etc)

      • +2

Coles Ultra Plus Advanced Clean Lemon Fresh Dishwasher Tablets 30pack

      • I just tick the desktop site in chrome for Coles, I assume they are just blocking the site on mobiles as they want you to download the app.

Beware! Description for this product states

      Warning:
      Pharmaceutical Warnings:
This product is not suitable as a complete milk food for children under the age of two years.

      Don't give it to babies!

      • +6

What about as part of a balanced diet?

        • OK to play with but not to be regarded as a food.

      • No… Just don't give the baby extra milk supplements.

      • +1

Shhh the Daigou's will Broden them.

    • Depends on your dishwasher.
That looks expensive compared to the aldi ones which work great

    • +3

I've used Finish and Earth Choice, Fairy Plus Platinum are by far the best in my dishwasher.

    • +5

These work out to be 19c per tablet. The coles one is 20c per tablet. How is this wasting money?

    • Woolworths Shine 10 in 1 scores 73% by Choice review at $0.15 per wash. Worth a try

  • Coupon wouldn't scan from my phone as a photo

If you turn up the screen brightness to 100% it usually works (have that issue all the time with scanning EDR from wooolies app)

    • It depends on the scanner.

Older laser scanners do not scan screens well or at all.

Cameras are better at reading phone screens.

Many new barcode scanners have both laser and camera abilities.

It must be an error. It says 50% off RRP. But the current sale price of $17.50 is 50% off which is a sale promotion which the coupon terms states is excluded. The coupon should have been 50% off $35 and not applied to this sale price item.

    • Well that's more saving for us.

  • +11

Who the eff is paying $35 for a box of dishwasher tablets?

  • I just use the woollies brand powder for $5.Works fine. Not sure how many washes you get out of it exactly but lasts a couple of months. Not sure what the benefit of getting powder tablets is over just the powder.

    • some washers are not designed to hold powder

      • +1

        Eh?
I've had dish drawers with a pin/peg in the middle of the dispenser, so can only put powder in (as it says USE LESS)

    • I heard that separate rinse aid and (is it salt??) are better than 3-in-1 tablets, but they don't seem to make tablets with just the detergent, so I suspect powder is a good way to go. But I haven't proven, as I can't convince my wife that I know more than the industry leaders.

      • +2

Industry leaders or just clever marketers? ;)

  • Why is the expiry date of this deal in 4 days? The coupon says valid to June 2020

    • +5

Special price ends Tuesday, so no double discount after that.

      • Ah, excellent point, ty

        • But they will probably have another half price discount again, which I assume you can use the coupon until it expires each time?

          • +1

@cam83: They might have fixed the error by then

  • +1

I got two of these coupons. They came bundled with a sample 3 pack of these dishwasher tablets. I give them a go and will get more.

  • +1

Can you scan 4 packs of fairy at self checkout, then use the high res barcode to scan on the same checkout grocery scanner and it will apply the discount to call the packs? or do u need to scan the barcode once per pack etc?

    • +4

you can check out once but need scan the barcode 4 times

      • ty

      • +2

        Confirmed working in WA
Scan tablets, scan barcode, rinse and repeat
Just grabbed 4 bags in one transaction

        • I bought 3 in city yesterday

  • is powder still cheaper than these?

  • Where did you find the original coupon ? My phone isn’t the best .. not sure it will let it scan. TIA

    • +4

Schema posted this hi-res image early in the thread. It might do the trick? https://i.imgur.com/vFBZK7I.png

      • Thanks, high res image worked for me

    • +1

I got the coupon from a free sample that was put in all the post boxes down our street.

  • Just tried at Woolworths Chatswood and price remained the same?

    • They might have fixed it. I'll try it this morning and see what happens.

      • Works for me in Canberra, like 10mins ago

        • Worked for me

          • @obit11: Ah nice one! The code worked but it didn’t reduce it any further for me. Perhaps it was bc at woolies metro site. I’ll have to suss it out at another store

            • +1

@Crowing: Tried at self checkout at another woollies with the high res and works!

  • Works a treat!!!!

  • Thanks. The high res image worked perfectly on my phone.

  • Confirmed still working in Prahran (VIC) as of 12:30pm Saturday.

    Thanks OP!

  • thanks!

  • +2

My local is sold out of the 45 packs
The 30 packs are $15 each so I brought 2 for $30 and scanned the code twice for a price of $14.70 which is $7.35 a pack.

5 cents a tablet more expensive but still a good saving.

  • Bought 5, thanks!!

  • woolworth tuggeranong ACT works fine.Thank you.

  • Legend, thx OP, got two packs

  • Didn't have any spot on the isle for them at Hawthorn VIC.

    • Just like the dishes after you use the tablets..

      • If I can find them. The next Woolies I checked (in Balwyn) were sold out.

  • Got 3, hopefully my dishes come out clean :)

  • +1

managed to get the last 2 packs from Mountain Gate FTG. There are heaps of 30 pack left. the high res image worked.

  • Each to their own for these branded tablets I reckon best value is the finish basic tablets when deals comeup like $5 for 68 tablets

  • Do we need to add rinse add for these tables?

    • Pretty sure all tablets need to be used with rinse aid.

      • +1

Pretty sure opposite and anything but the most basic has it built in.

  • +1

I live for deals like this.. picked up 4 bags. Thanks OP.

  • Just bought 6 packets from Officer, Vic. Barcode working fine.

  • Worked at Chadstone fine about an hour ago. I couldn't get the bar code to scan at the self service checkout, so asked the staff member to enter it for me manually. She was unphased by the request and punched it in twice for me (two packets purchased).

  • Worked, plenty in stock at Chermside on the discount shelves

  • Anyone used this deal today (Sunday)..?

Just checking if Woolies have disabled it yet..

    • +1

      Worked last night @8.30pm
