I managed to get a quote from my local Officeworks for the Mavic Pro at $624, valid for 30 days, not sure if it's actually useful or not, I'm hoping that on the off chance that they do get any more units in stock even at a higher price I might be able to use it to get one at $624?
They just sent a refund saying out of Stock even though my order went through :(
Just received my DJI Spark. Guess that’s the one they had in stock. Ordered on Sunday at 2.13pm.
Just got refund.. order late on sunday. So I guess it is all over. OW has shattered my dreams…I was going to start a business hiring the drone for pictures and video for weddings and real estate agencies and finally be my own boss and show my father in law I can too be successful. Sike!!!( yes from the 90's). Would have been good though to own another toy I don't need, mainly I was happy to finally get a true bargain in this great site.

Bought one, but the next day Office work cancelled my order and refund the full amount, because they out of stock and can't source additional stock. I'm so disappointed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like spoilt litlle children having tantrums and hissy fits because they didn't get their little toy, love it.
Some people scored one of the few that were avail…….just not most due to technical poorly designed ordering systems. Get over it, it happens. :-)Perhaps those that like Officeworks should pop over and give them a good review as overall they are excellent (for me at least over last 10 years). It's unfair to slam them just because a Drone was over ordered.
Well, this was my first experience with them and it didn't work out well. And its these kind of experiences which gets mentioned in the reviews book.
@ThePointsGuru: Its an unfortunate thing for local business that most (not all) people only take the time out to air their negative comments when things dont go their way. Its a pity they didnt do the same when happy. I bet a lot of places (not just officeworks) would have 99% positive reviews if everyone commented good and bad. It's a sad negative world of whingers we live in (and am also guilty of occasional complaining………but do also take the time out to give positive reviews).
I'm with you, love it, plus reasonable people see through unreasonable people and reviews. I don't post deals I find on ozbargains because the attitude of many of the people here is outrageously ungrateful and often contemptuous I know many people feel the same way. Imagine buying a drone you think you probably won't get because of a system error and then complaining that you were right.

Oh look - officeworks have managed to land stock of the mavic pro platinum drones for the sweet price of $1298.
Convenient for us, they even recommended on the cancellation email to check their site for an alternative product.Officeworks are claiming on the record that they had thousands in stock and a very small number got cancelled (I ordered at 10.15am Sunday) and was of course cancelled with everyone else.

My DJI Spark turned up today - so some people got lucky. My Mavic Pro order was cancelled (bought both and planned to return the Spark if the Mavic Pro arrived). Need to drop $200 on a controller, so probably not that cheap as it'll be $500 when I'm all set up.
You should have got the Mavic Mini.
Wasn't expecting it to turn up tbh, I'll see what happens during the Black Friday sales - if a mini comes for a similar price up ill just return/sell the spark.

Any one know why the refund is taking so long? Received an email on 25/11/19 notifying me of the refund, but the refund is still pending in Paypal.

Yeah it's bullshit. Rang them today, advised that refund was 100% complete from their end on 25th.
Paypal say that it's taking ages because the echeck hasn't cleared.
has anyone been charged for international transfer fee from the bank? I was charged for $2.68 for offshore purchasing, not sure if it was from the MAVIC I ordered from OW. I am bankning with NAB.

Unlikely as OW is local and in AU$The international transfer fee occurred on the same day when I paid for my Mavic Pro to OW. I did not purchase anything recently online. the bank could not tell me which merchant it is.
With the Mavic, I bought a SanDisk 64GB MicroSD at 13$ which has been immediately ready for pickup in-store, despite the drone which has been cancelled.
Today I was near the store so I went there to cancel the SD order and be refunded. Instead of cancelling my order, they let me collect the SD then I had to return and, thanks to this procedure, I've been refunded the actual price, 21,98$ instead of the 13$ I paid… a little REVENGE!!Is it me or was there another similar deal yesterday? seemed like bait to get more data out of the hundreds if not thousand users that tried to buy the last so called deal.

There was another post a few days ago stating he had bought one for 624…as the store he was at had stick. I have found another store with stock but the website lists as 1289. Will it scan for 624?I don't want to ask in case they tell me on the phone there is a problem
