AVAILABLE FOR THE FIRST 200 CUSTOMERS ONLY FROM 3PM AEDT!

      • Yes Sir, Thank you

  • -1

I honestly don't understand all the complaining and whining here.

If you bought something under a previous deal then presumably you were happy to do so. The only thing that has changed is that a better deal came along for which you aren't eligible.

    • -2

      I'm complaining/whining, because i'm paying $100/month for… Nothing… :S

  • -1

Is this available to customers that were with Aussie about 3 months ago?

    • 3 months ago, did you use a promo code?
If yes = You're not a new customer
      If no = You're a new customer

      I think? I have no idea…
      Read the previous comments :p

  • Is that a problem to use a SIM modem with something like the Circle Life deal ($28, 100GB per month for 12 months)? 4G works better than NBN, doesn't it?

  • I'm currently with Optus FTTC. Am I able to use their modem with Aussie?

    • Yes…?

Edit: Wait… Is the modem locked? :S

      • That's why I'm asking. I'm not sure.

        • Try doing what someone previously asked me to do and let us know how it goes? :D

  • My plan with existing ISP finishes 30 Dec. Can I sign up now and transfer then?

  • +1

    Hey @Aussiebroadband

Little piece of feedback - Please don't send an advertisement to existing customers when they're unable to redeem the discount. That's just asking for complaints.

You didn't specify anywhere in the email that this was restricted to new customers only, and wasted mine and probably many others time asking us to sign up for notifications on deals that we cannot redeem.

  • Signed up! Moving over from SL.

  • getting this error when trying to sign up
    ….The address field is required.
Even though my address popups in the drop down menu

    • Hi there,

As silly as this may sound, did you click on the address so it populated that bar?

      Cheers, Nicole

      • yes
I found the problem. I had VPN on and it wouldn't let me continue until I turned it off.

        • Success! Great to hear you found the problem.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

          Cheers, Nicole

  • Just subscribed, thanks op

  • I signed up received a SMS code but did not receive any confirmation email

    • Hi there,

Might pay to wait a minute. It should come through soon.

      Cheers, Nicole

  • Promo Code / Referral Code: CYBER20
    Invalid promo/referral code provided

    It's 3PM isn't it???

    • Hi there,

Yes 3pm is correct. Have you been a customer with us before?

      Cheers, Nicole

      • I had a trial for 2 weeks in September and you charged me for 3 weeks… then spammed me for another 2 months.

        • If you have been a customer within the last 6 months, promo codes won't work as we have a lockout in place.

          We apologise for the inconvenience.

  • I keep on getting:

Please check the form and try again
    Server Error

    Everything appears correct.

    • Hi theoracle30,

If you try it once more, does it show the same error?

      Cheers, Nicole

      • Yes, tried on different browser and still getting the same issue.

        • Are you using a VPN or anything like that? That may be causing an issue.

  • Singed up, 5 years paying $79 for iinet is enough :)

  • Hi I was a customer previously with ABB - does it have to be older than 6 months ago or within 6 months??????

    • Older than 6 months.

      Cheers, Nicole

      • If a promo code was used, is it also 6 months?
If a promo code wasn't used, can it be less than 6 months?

        • Hi NGPriest,

It is 6 months regardless of whether a promo code was used or not. Hope this helps.

          Cheers, Nicole

  • I am not in a contract with Aussie Broadband. I am quality if I entered in a contract with them?

    • +1

ABB doesn't do contracts, i believe?

      But you're an existing customer…

    • Yep ABB don't have contracts. Existing customers can't get this deal.

    • -2

If you're on month to month, you're in a contract.

  • Can the once off $30 be used towards modem purchase?

    • Unfortunately not.

  • Signed up.
My free nbn is coming to an end. This deal was very timely

  • Why don’t they give these for existing customers 😒. Customer retention can be powerful strategy too

  • Can I sign up for this in advance as my billing cycle with superloop only ends on the 25th.

    • Yes you can specify the connect date

  • +2

    AussieBB goodbye and hello superloop

  • $65 effective charge for the 100/40

    I'm paying $99/month, which leaves $34 profit.
    If i leave ABB, they'll lose that $34/month profit…?

    • Yep $34 per month. Not all of it would be profit.

      • Hmm, true…

But it'll go to $0/month if i goto SL? :S

And i'll save a buck or two if i switch? :S

        • ISPs will take a short term hit and hope you stay with them long term.

If you want to save a buck do it. Check the deals again in 6 months time.

          • @Twix: Well, if the quality is the same (as in, non-existant NBN), then i'll be saving… $126.30…

            So i'll be saving… Assuming a buck costs $126.30… 1 buck.
            Or if a buck costs $63.15… 2 bucks! :D

    • +1

It's $65 ex-GST. Then it requires paying for the links to each PoI, support, the links to overseas, the domestic links, etc.

  • Just did a pre-order, I was going to go AussieBB anyway but a good deal is a good deal.
    Thanks

  • For the people who are not happy with Black Friday deal being not as good as this one, can you cancel your ealier order within 3 days, than do a new sign up?

Their email does say you can cancel within 3 days.

    • No ABB won't allow you to cancel to get today's deal :(

  • Question for those on Optus NBN or any NBN that's having issues with the rollover from Adsl or NBN recently.

I have friends who have been having issues with their NBN and by switching to say Aussie who are an aussie mob and have half an idea about internet issues and not just poor script readers or salesmen. Do you find their connection is better than optus?

Has anyone got experience with that?

    Cheers

    • What issues are your friends having?

Are they on FTTN, FTTC, FTTP, HFC or fixed wireless?

    • +1

Depending where you are with Optus, it's pretty hit and miss.

Aussie has good links. Their networks pretty solid. Providing you aren't limited by the type of technology or any physical limits; it should be better.

If you are noticing peak time congestion with Optus, it would be virtually nonexistent with Aussie.

  • Promo/referral code has expired

Expired while I was double checking my order!

    Oh well. No sale then

  • The CYBER Monday promo codes have now been expired as we've reached the allocation of 200 sales.
Don't forget that the BLACK10 and BLACK20 codes will be valid until 11:59PM.

    • Hi Rep,
I just signed up using cyber20, I didn't choose the start date but I found that I need to give 30 days notice to TPG. Can I change the start date now?

      • I need to give 30 days notice to TPG.

they will wave it if you call them.

        • +1

Tried it. They won't budge. After being a customer for more than 10 years, they want to milk me as much as they can.

  • I apparently need to switch from my cable to NBN soon. Not happy about moving to NBN. All "deals" are still way more expensive. I also get hounded by ABB and this "deal" still worked out more expensive than most other options from other providers - even after passing on the rip-off modem. Certainly not interested at their standard rates or with the ongoing Black Friday "deal". This farce has now galvanised my position and I will not be joining ABB at any point.

It appears they may have got 200 new customers (or customers that were going to join anyway), at the cost of losing numerous loyal customers and chasing away other potential new customers. Not sure this will end up being worthwhile for them…

  • If I’m switching from Telstra cable to FTTC NBN with ABB, what’s the best option for a modem? Use ABBs for $149 or can someone recommend one? Using the Orbi for router/wifi

    • +1

You don't need to buy anything.

      FTTC NCD box—->Ethernet—->Orbi router.

      • +1

Thanks twix…I figured NBNCo was gonna provide one but thought I would double check.

        • All good! Yep nbn will post one out or the nbn technician will bring one.

  • +1

Signed up. Unsuccessfully spent 30 then 70 minutes on hold to Superloop to cancel with them. Shocking customer service so will be glad to be rid (until 6 months time and i need a new deal!)

  • Hey signed up with abb, how do I know I successfully got the cyber20 deal? I input it didn't get any errors

    • In the confirmation email it tells you the promotional code that was applied. Should be just under your details, below plan/product selected.

      • I didn't get any line like that at all in any of the email I received.

  • -4

If anyone is thinking about joining ABB, PM me.

    • What if we're thinking about leaving ABB? :p

  • Signed up yesterday arvo and last night was connected up to Aussie broadband already lol.

Btw, does anyone know if I need to tell telstra to cancel or is that done automatically?

    • Cancel your old ISP to avoid bill shock.

Internet only = cancel Telstra now.

Internet and home phone = wait until your number has ported over before cancelling Telstra.

  • Their sales team is full of BS lmao. Was assured my line could get 100/40 but after getting connected Tech support confirmed can only do 50/20 lols. Oh well still cheaper than Telstra's

    • Double check your FTTN sync speed by logging into your Telstra modem.

      • Telstra confirmed the 50/20 speeds but yeah ABB told me they could do better lols oh well. Also how do i check it? Is it just on status?

        • Check the sticker on Telstra modem for an IP address. Type the IP address into your web browser and have a look around.

          • @Twix: Yeah got it .. its 44/20 which has been since day 1. Oh well ABB is cheaper and support has been good so far.

            • +1

@westzod: Yep FTTN speed won't change. The only way out is if you pay out of your own pocket for FTTN—->FTTP.

  • Belong (subsidiary of Telstra) is offering the NBN50 for $65 per month free model with a 12 month contract.
I have not seen much complaints about congestion.

    Belong 12 months cost ==> 65x12 = $780 with Belong

    ABB 12 months cost ==> $59x6 + $79x6 - $30 = $798
