  • What does your refurbished process involve ?

    • -2

These are iPads we have purchased that are refurbished, so it starts with diagnosing the issue, then fixing/replacing whatever caused the problem (usually a broken screen) and replacing and overly scuffed casing

    $239.99 Postage $254.99

    Pricy postage.

    • tha'ts a mistake there thanks for spotting it!

      • Sorry, postage was only meant to be $10 extra.

    • -4

      Ahh sorry to hear

  • Is this the model that was released in 2013?

  • +1

is this 6 and a half years old….

    • Oof

  • +3

    Used
    OLD AF
    16gb lol
    and overpriced

Do you hate the person you're giving this to?

    • Well, he’s sorry to hear soooo…

  • +2

This product was released 6+ years ago and will no longer receive (major) updates beyond iOS 12. 16 GB is barely adequate for even light use in 2019 when more than half of that will be taken up by the OS. And it's second hand and third-party refurbished to boot.

  • I have one. It’s good for watching stuff on YouTube.

Bit long in the tooth now, though.

    • -2

Great you can use it as you need :)

  • OP, fix ur prices.. Title & Description don't match.. Shipping not specified in title correctly..

    • Hi mate thanks for spotting my early mistake, it's since been updated, thanks for letting me know

      • U might wanna redo ur edit, hasn't updated here on my end..

        • -1

So it's intended to be $239.99 for wifi pickup $249.99 wifi with shipping and $259 with cellular pickup and $269 with cellular with express shipping.

I have purged the CDN, please re-fresh it and let me know what you see, thx

  • I bought a brand new ipad air 1 from kogan in June 2014 for $400. How are they still so expensive?

    • +1

Because its part of the 'Apple Ecosystem'… lol.

    • -4

Ipads tend to hold their value and have much fewer relases than phones, that's possibly one reason.
The cheapest one of this model on eBay is $285

      • But you can get a much more recent iPad for not much more than that?

        • Yeah, I got a 32GB 5th Gen iPad (2017 model) at the beginning of 2018 for $360. Still a much better deal than this nearly 2 years later, especially given it was brand new and not refurbished, just short of 1 year old at the time instead of 6, and from a reliable seller (Officeworks). This isn’t a deal, lol.

  • +2

Looks like OP has awful reputation. 16GB in this day and age at that price.. you're having a laugh. I'd rather spend bit more for at least 64GB and more recent version, not one that will soon be obsolete in few years time.

  • $99 and four years later, still in profit.

    • -5

I'm pretty sure this was when they were in liquidation, I doubt they were making any profit on it unfortunately.

  • +1

$250 for a used six and a half year old base model iPad lol no thanks

  • Might be good as a 'travel tablet', to watch pre-loaded fillums on long plane trips.
The screen is OK on a first-gen iPad, so it would likely work OK for that purpose.
I am an Android guy and I have a Nexus 10 for the same job. I stuck a new $40 battery in it 6 months ago and it goes like a trooper. Age shall not weary them…

  • over rated

  • I wouldn’t recommend an iPad Air 1 in this day and age. Either spend a couple of hundred more for a newer (and supported) model, or go some cheap Android tablet.

  • +1

I wouldn't trust this seller based off comments from previous "deals" they've posted eg.: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/389959

  • Garbage.

  • I really thought this user was banned? 16GB, iPad Air 1. Lenovo M10 probably would be a better buy

  • Just read thru some past posts of OP and the comments. Wow, MASSIVELY SODGY. Major issues with this retailer!

  • +1

I think this is the first time I've ever negged a deal but this seller has the worst reputation that I've seen so it is truely justified. Even worse than that Roboguy!

    As mentioned above, caveat emptor
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/389959

This store should be banned forever.

    • Yep. How the mods are still allowing him to post is beyond me
