Good price for a brand new Note 9 512gb.

    • +3

Buyer beware this is only single sim, not dual sim

      • +1

Single Sim is fine with me.

  • +1

    Excellent pricing for all models.

  • +6

    Hey rep,

A lot of people complained about the "15% off on eligible tech" part. Are you okay telling us how your store ends up being part of the "eligible" group? How does Ebay or you decide that etc.? Because it's basically impossible to search for eligible tech.

    • Marketing speak, means nothing but gives the air of credibility

      Hi Blitzfx,

    any dual SIM models?

    • Hi kma,

All models mentioned in the deal above are single sim, but we also stock some dual SIM variants. Any models in particular that you are looking at for Dual SIM phones? We have some Dual SIM Note 9 128GB in copper, and a range of other Dual SIM phones. Thank you

  • +3

Note 8 still holding well for an old gen handset. The only issue I have had with it was 1. Battery is small as they didn't want to chance it after the note 7 fiasco and 2. Fast charge circuit is part of the USB c port and if your handset doesn't fast charge then they need to replace the complete port which is costly out of warranty.

If you don't think these are issues I think it's a great handset.

    got the s9. thanks rep.

Dude, where do you think your apple assembled was ?

    • What isn't made in China.

    • +1

      made in Vietnam.

    • I’m amazed we still see ignorant dumbass like you lol.

      • -4

It is hard to avoid buying Chinese made. But given a choice I avoid "Made in China" whenever I can. China has stepped over the line way too often, meddling in our political system, IP infringements, hacking our Government systems, south china sea, etc, etc, etc

        • +3

Looks like their hacking engine even searches OzBargain and auto-negs any anti-chinese sentiment. How low will these people go?

          • +1

@Zaddo: Hahaha don't underestimate the Chinese zombie drones

            • +1

@AbsX: I mean you could be deported into a Chinese jail, or worse…

              1.4billion ozbargain negs

        • +1

"But given a choice" is a cop out. I would like you to 100% boycott it, otherwise it means nothing. You could still buy 99% of your stuff from China and say, I was only given a choice 1% of the time, which means it was no boycott at all.

    • -1

The Chinese just copy, can't innovate.. But they are good for cheap assembly still so we'll use em

      • So many neg votes for the truth…

Politically incorrect as it may be

    • No it's not. LG & Samsung are pretty much the only ones left that are not made in China.

Apple is made in China. Enjoy your cheap kiddie toy pleb, remember it's made in China lol.

  • Any of these are dual SIM phones?

    • +1

Verified the note 8 isn't. I hope it was but samsung never released the dual sim officially here.

      Mine is the same model.N950F.

    • Hi OZB fan,

      Please see above, thank you.

  • I preordered the note 9 last year. Brilliant phone for that price.

  • If the note 9 is almost $900 here, really glad I bought the note 10+ for $150 more on another deal lmao

    • Ye i would say the Note 10 + for 160 more is a much better deal, especially if the extra 256 GB is not required.

    • +2

$150 can be a lot of money for some people.

      • +2

True $150 is plenty, but if you're already forking out $900 anyway for a phone………

  • S9 is a great deal. Got one ty OP

  • I will be traveling overseas later this month. Would the note 9 qualify for claiming TRS? if so, what amount would I be able to claim as, the displayed amount (AU $1,048.00) or the paid amount ($890)? Thanks.

    • displayed amount.

      • Really? that's pretty sweet. Don't they ask to see your bank statement?

        • They ask for the receipt.

        • Just receipt. If you are overly concerned, make sure that the phone is in original packaging so they can't doubt you.

          • +2

@stockastics: I travelled in November. Phone in use in my hand. TRS officer asked for receipt and asked me to show IMEI on phone. He then processed the refund. Packaging left at home.

            • @juliank: Did you have to declare on your return? I heard some stories where if you told them you'll be bringing the phone back, they put a note on your file and expect you to declare on your return.

              • @Travis J: They didn't ask and I never declare. So far so good.

                • @juliank: Cool. Thanks.

                  • +1

@Travis J: Just bear in mind just because someone got away not declaring goods over the trs limit doesn't mean everyone will get away with it also. What I'm saying is it's a risk one takes so if one gets fined for not declaring these goods on return. It all their fault.

              • @Travis J: Every adult returns to Australia get $900 allowance.Below 18 get $450.

                • @ti6331: Sorry, I don't travel much. This is new to me. This $900 is the value of the item or how much I can claim? If I buy a phone that's $1,200, make the TRS claim ($120) on departure then on return I declare I have the $1,200 phone with me, what will happen? will I be charged some amount?

                  • @Travis J: $900 is the value of the items Extra$300 need to pay tax unless sb goes with you so u can claim another $900

                    • @ti6331: I thought the name on the invoice has to match the name on your passport. So 2 people can claim the 1 item regardless of name on the invoice?

                    • @ti6331: Google TRS refund. BTW, the queue for refund counters always long. Usually only 2 counters, the staff are always very slow, maybe they don't want let you claim the refund.
U can do it online first, but u still need to wait for ~45mins unless your departure time is very early in the morning.

        • +2

trs legal requirement is to look at how much gst is charged/paid etc.

if you got a discount, the GST is covered by someone else somewhere,

          dont stress!
          take advantage of the situation!:)

  • Re: Samsung Galaxy S9 64GB (Optus Branded, Unlocked) - Purple $539

On eBay the price is AU $773.36, 15% off brings the price to $657.36 (not the $539 as stated in this deal).

How to get it for $539?

    • S9 got Extra 18% check-out discount, thank you!

      • -1

Hey rep any decent details on a Galaxy Tab S6?

        • Hi etlok,

          Please see above, thank you.

      • The size of S9 is same as S8?

        • Yeah they are the same size.

  • +1

Got a S9 to replace my (finally broken down) Galaxy Note 4.

    Thx OP

  • Damn it, just bought the V40 ThinQ a few days ago for $500. Isn't the s9 better?

    • Your V40 has 128GB storage, dual SIM support, Snapdragon 845 (a bit faster than Exynos CPU on S9). S9 might have slight better video recording support (esp. on super slow mo), slightly better (more frequent) firmware update and a better OLED screen.

      • Thanks mate, good to know they're pretty much on par

  • +1

Bought the purple s9 for my mum, cheers OP.

  • Because the S9 is Optus branded and the S9+ Telstra branded, the software updates would be pushed out through these carriers with some expected delay correct?

    • +1

      Hi ozhunter68,

Updates through carriers might be pushed out at different times, but from recent experience carriers have been quick to push them out. You might want to refer to Sammobile dates for S9 Optus & S9 Unbranded for example. Thanks

  • I am looking to buy a phone and playing between Samsung A70 and S9. A70 is available for $435 and S9 at $539. Which one is a better value

    • +1

Depends what features you value more. A70 for better battery life and bigger screen size. S9 for better performance and higher res screen. Both are winners tbh.

Edit: The S9 will have Optus bloatware, whereas the A70 from that deal is unbranded, so there is also this to consider.

      • Good points. I'm not in market now for new phone, but if I chose between these three almost enough of a reason to go the unbranded Note 8 for that bloatfree reason, even if it meant a smaller battery.

  • This is good timing, I just dropped my Samsung S5 and broke the display - time for a new phone!

  • +1

Dang missed the S9. Good price
