Share a Coke with Alexa Promotion – Terms and Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions were updated on 15 January 2020 and comprise the terms on which you participate in the Share a Coke with Alexa promotion.
  2. This promotion commences at 12:01AM on 29 January 2020 and ends at 11:59PM on 4 February 2020 (“Promotion Period”).
  3. Alexa users engaging Alexa’s “Share a Coke” function must provide their mobile phone number to Amazon Web Services by voice communication with their Alexa device. Customers will be sent a text message containing a coupon code, and a link to the Share a Coke website shareacoke.coca-cola.com.au where they can redeem their coupon by placing an order.
  4. Coupon codes are for the value of AUD$12.00, being the cost of one (1) personalized Coca-Cola bottle and Australian domestic shipping. Customers may choose to purchase additional Coca-Cola products in the same order at their own cost.
  5. Coupon codes are valid until 29 February 2020.
  6. There are a maximum total of 2,000 coupon codes available for redemption during the Promotion Period, on a first come, first served basis.
  7. Limited to 5 coupons per Amazon Alexa device ID or phone number. Multiple phone numbers may be used together with the same Amazon Alexa device ID up to a maximum of 5 coupon code redemptions.
  8. CCSP may update these Terms and Conditions by updating this posting at any time and without notice.

Alexa will ask you for your mobile number; you'll receive an SMS with a link to the Share a Coke website, with a $12 off promo code already applied. (enough to cover $7 bottle + $5 delivery)

    Driving me absolutely nuts.

    Download the application. Pushing the button and saying 'alexa, let's share a coke'.

    Usually says 'i don't know that one'.

    Also Alexa has added cherry Coke to my 'shopping list' and also played a song entitled Cherry Coke by a band….

      You need to go to the Skills & Games tab and enable the skill for 'Alexa, Share a Coke' - hope that helps mate!

        Okay, maybe getting closer. I added the skill and games. It's enabled! But it still doesn't work.

        I said to Alex to do it, and she said share a coke' is a multinational marketing campaign by Coca-Cola… Wtf

      Try going to Skill s & Games and see if Coke is there and add it. It wasn't for me, so I logged and, signed up with a new email address and then it was there to add. Could possibly be because my first Amazon account was US based.

    You don't need to add the skill to your account, but the skill is marked English (AU) so it will only work with AU accounts.

    Once you have your SMS from Amazon/Coke do you need to redeem with any urgency or does that automatically hold you one of the 2000 coupons available (until end of Feb)?

    I’ll sort it before that - just no time today.

      Seems like the codes are still being generated but don't hold your spot. It's the first 2000 to be redeemed.

      Agree with you and also missed out as I didn't realise the clock was ticking once I had the code. However their wording is accurate I guess: limit of 2000 codes can be redeemed (even though more than 2000 can be issued). It's just inconsistent with how most of these marketing promos work.

    Using the Alexa iOS app I got the first order through. But when I tried ordering a second one it doesn't work - the SMS links didn't apply the promo code and when I tried entering the promo code manually (from the last part of the SMS link) it says the code is not valid. I tried using my mobile number (for a second time) as well as my wife's one - both didn't work. I thought you could get up to 5 personalised bottles per Amazon AU account. Am I doing something wrong?

    EDIT: looks like it's been Ozbargained since my 1st order - oh well.

    For those having trouble getting the skill on your device to work

    1. login to https://www.amazon.com.au/
    2. select "Accounts & Lists"
    3. select "Content and devices"
    4. select "Preferences"
    5. select "Country/Region Settings"
    6. If it says something other than "Australia" Click the "Change" button
    7. Enter an address and make sure the "Country" is "Australia" Click the "Change" button
    8. A "Success" overlay will show anmd your region will now be "Australia"
    9. Go to your device and load the Alexa App
    10. Click the Hamburger and select "Sign Out"
    11. Sign back in and you should know be able to get the "Share a coke" Skill via "Skills & Games"
