  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

  • +1

    Do eBay vouchers void this?

    • +1

If you're redeeming a voucher/promo code then your cashback would be rejected, so yes it would void the bonus.

  • +24

Be careful if you are planning on buying from Amazon. Many categories of products no longer give cashback and your purchase will not qualify for this bonus.

    • Which ones do or do not qualify?

      • Check their website or app for the specific vendor, it will list the cashback amounts in the t&cs.

        • Ahh thanks. Damm change

      • Movie not included now.

    • Thanks for the reminder.

I was just about to buy something that doesn’t qualify.

    • Wait when did they change?

    • Damn, this is disappointing. Apparel only 7%, down from 12%

      :\

  • +2

Now would you believe I just bought $40 worth of stuff from Aliexpress at 9:38am.

That's ok I always need more things… right?

    • buy now, regret later

      • More like buy now, and be lucky enough to get it in 3-4 months thanks to COVID-19. I'm still waiting on my ePacket order (13-15 day transit time) which I ordered start of Jan ($200+ worth).. URghh what can ya do

        • My $6 eBay order from Chinese seller shipped on 17/02, expected between 17/03-17/05 arrived on Tuesday.

  • work for Amazon?

    • Yes for items under categories that are eligible for cashback.

      • +30

I basically have no use for SB or CR anymore since this change.

        :(

        • +1

          :(

        • +5

Same here. I even used to look forward to these little bonuses, and Amazon was my go-to :(

        • Yeah I'll probably get rid of SB now they have gutted amazon.

          • +3

@Abbi: To be fair it was probably an Amazon decision….

          • +3

            @Abbi: It's Cashrewards too unfortunately

        • Oh I had no idea this had happened. Thanks to those pointing it out, I was about to place an order for cat food! Might just go to Woolies instead and get the rewards points.

        • +1

Well said, mate. SB or CR lost their value by a great extent the moment Amazon stopped cashback on major categories.

        • OP: Can you please clarify for us whether the decision NOT to provide cashback on Amazon purchases were initiated by Amazon??

  • Thanks Op.
Does Hey You has no cashback anymore?
Besides, Ubereat via Shopback on iOS has issue when trying to click the "Confirm Order" button
    android is working tho

    • +1

Hey You's been off since January. And thanks for the info about Uber Eats on iOS - we'll test it out.

  • How are multiple items in one transaction treated if the items are reported separately and are all below $5?

Ebay/Amazon tend to report items separately if from different sellers.

    • +3

We have some info on our end internally to determine if it's within a single transaction, so feel free to bundle items in one transaction to add to the $5 min spend if that's the case.

  • +3

$12 for a hotpot voucher. Apply 10% discount=$10.80. Apply 7% cashback=$10.04. Apply $2 bonus=$8.04! NOT BAD! Considering the restaurant sells it for $17 usually.

  • +4

Not even sure what I’d use this on, now that Amazon has gutted the cashback categories.

    • +7

No Amazon (mostly), no Hey You, no ebay (with coupons).
Shopback (and CR) are showing less and less value these days. Might be time to cash out and forget them soon.

      • +1

Yeah, and a lot of the clothing and department store cashback rates used to be quite good, but they've all slowly eroded to a few percent.

  • OZBENELOOP

Is there a gag here? If so, I'm not getting it!

    • Came here thinking there hadn't been any envelop deals for a while… Guess I'm out of the loop too…

  • +3

would be good if they could add a dark theme to the app.

  • Just combined with Avengers 4K deal. Cheers.

    • +1

Pretty sure there's no cashback on movies thru Amazon

      • +1

What? I better check the ts & cs

        Edit: oh man you're right…

        • Yeah it sucks, they removed nearly all of the good categories :/

  • +1

    Time for more Chemist Warehouse!!
    Thanks OP :D

    • -1

      Good thinking 99.

Time to stock up on pain killers. Something that will likely have real shortages in a few months (since CHina produces most of the chemicals and India produces much of the final products).

    • Vanish OxiAction 3kg (2 + 1 bonus) (Napisan) $11.99

    • +11

This comment is pointless, nobody cares.

    • +3

From OP's post: "Once you've redeemed the code, you can make your qualifying purchase on any device (not just the app)."

Redeem through the app and buy through your browser. Stop complaining!

    • +2

Waaa someone's trying to give me free money and I don't like it >:(

    • +2

I'm sick of these App only offers.

Actually, I believe the previous few have been web browser extension?

  • Op, if i purchase from groupon. Cash i use any promo code + pay with groupon credits and be eligible for the $2 bonus still?

    • +4

Cashback is calculated after the usage of Groupon credit & excludes taxes, fees or additional charges

You need to make sure that the purchase amount after credits is $5 or above to qualify for the bonus.

      • Cool thanks

  • +1

Good lord, I just looked at the X rates for banks and Paypal. USD$0.614 and USD$0.628 respectively (plus, up to 3% conversion fees for most banks and 2.5% for paypal).

The AUD is in a world of hurt.

  • +1

No Woolworths available either? WTF is happening in the cashback world

  • 2 meter charging cables are usually just above $5 on eBay and are fantastic if you ever use your phone/tablet in bed.

Just make sure to search within australia only if you want it quickly.

  • +1

For those with prime, if you are quick 3 shower gels for $5.40. It's in beauty so cashback should qualify. I wouldn't risk doing subscribe & save ("Subscribe & Save purchases are also not applicable for Cashback")

    Cashback Rates
    Beauty
    5.30%

    • +1

Haha You beat me to it, I was just about to say exactly this!

      Update: Out of stock!

  • God damn it, I bought something this morning on amazon already gahhh

  • I never got my $2 cashback from the previous deal…

Why is this image so damn funny

      • I don't know about funny I think she is just stressing out.

    • -1

No prime though so there will be shipping.

      • +1

        $1.62 + FREE Delivery

  • are the exclusion categories the same for both ebay and amazon? i'm being lazy

    • No. Most items on eBay are still eligible for at least 1% (e.g. Electronics). You just can't use any coupon code and still get cashback.
Most categories (e.g. Electronics) on Amazon are now ineligible for any cashback.

  • Is donation in eBay checkout count?

    • ???

      • +4

I would have used more question marks.

    • +2

This would not count towards the minimum spend.

  • Thanks OP, every bit counts in these tough times

  • +2

Hi OP, technical question please. I did entered the code in the rewards section and press redeem button. Then do shopping. But when I went back to the Rewards section, the coupon has button of Use Now. Does it mean I haven't redeem it? I then clicked multiple times the button still there. Please advise.

    • +2

You can ignore it, as long as you've made your qualifying purchase then it's fine.

      • Thanks

      • @Shopback Does 'Add Voucher' actually mean the code is redeemed/activated?

  • +1 for the code ;-)

  • does this stack with the $10 targeted offer?
