  • Thanks, grt deal!!!

  • Great deal, just made the purchase.

Wheres the best place/price to get a decent charger for them?

I have the Dick Smith branded recharger…would that be ok for these?

    • +2

Not sure about the DS one, but the best charges to get are usually the expensive ones. :P

Seriously though, try and find one that includes some sort of monitoring, to prevent overcharging, instead of the 'dumb' ones that just charge for a set time. You're batteries will last a lot longer.

      This one is apparently a nice balance between price/performance;
      http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RSOV50

      • +1. that is a good charger.

        • So even though its only rated for 700ma there is no issues charging these 2000ma batteries? It just takes longer?

          Thanks

EDIT - Thanks a lot for that mate, I'm gonna grab one and retire the Dick Smith charger :)

        • 700mAh means the maximum current it will charge a battery at. Not the maximum capacity of a battery it can charge.

          At 700mAh it will take 4 hours to fully charger a 2800mAh battery (2800/700 = 4).

          At 700mAh it will take 2.85 hours to fully charger a 2000mAh battery (2000/700 = 2.85).

700mAh is a nice current. Not too much to cook batteries and not too little to take too long to charge.

  • awesome deal. thanks op!

  • Great deal - bought a couple of packs to go with the couple I bought from Amazon when I was in the UK a few months ago. These are really nice looking batteries and work so well. Now to make sure the wife and the kids don't see the package when it arrives. The wife as she tells me to stop buying batteries and the kids as they love the glitter look and keep claiming them for themselves as ornamtents.

  • +2

could not resist, ordered 2 packs. I have about 40 eneloops now :S

    • +2

So happy, but still no positive?

      • +2

        there we go.

        • +1

          Phew!

  • Can I use "Eveready Quick Charger - Worldwide AC 100 V - 240 V input" to charge these batteries?
    EG : http://www.evereadyindustries.com/business/batteries/recharg…
Or I must use eneloop charger?

    • Yep, will work fine. Any NiMH charger will do (although, of course avoid the $2 chargers from ebay!)

    • The eneloop charger will most likely be just as crap as that one. (yes the eneloop charger is crap)

Either buy a crap charger or buy a La Crosse / Powerex branded charger with Amp Hour counting. See Amazon

For those who wanna cheap and with charger can try this $11 (explore yourself, there are more cheaper rechargeable battery available)

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/8X-2500mAh-AA-1-2v-Ni-MH-Recharge…

Just sharing, I know good brand and cheap brand.

    • -1

OK, I'll bite. $11 for 8 batteries, charger and free delivery. Cheap, but good as well?

      First Google result;
      http://reviews.ebay.com/Beware-Fake-quot-BTY-quot-Ni-MH-rech…

      Mmm..

      • -2

        Don't buy then.

        • +1

No need for the attitude. I think we are all here to grab a good deal. There's certainly no problem with bringing up another bargain, like the one you referenced, but surely there is also no problem in a quick Google search showing that the price of that it may not end up being a bargain after all.

        • Ok. Wrong suggestion.

        • nvm.

  • thanks OP.

OCAU members may also get a discount.

    • Can any1 compare this AU$90 charger to the US$38.52 from Amazon linked to above? Except the 8 vs 4 simultaneous charge.

      • +1

If you are one of those people who want the best of the best the "C9000" is the one to get.

BUT.. and this is a big but. For day to day use there both as good as one another.

IMHO I would get the BC-700 for less than 1/2 the price, in fact I would buy 2 of the "BC-700" for less money before buying a C9000.

    • +1

The 9000 is a kick ass charger. Both Powerex and La Crosse have great chargers.

      • La Crosse it is. I think a $50 premium for 8 vs. 4 and being kickass is not justified for my usage.

Bluetooth keyboard, mouse and Xbox controllers

    • Bit confusing- the 8 charger and the 4 charger is on the same page.

  • Just bought a pack.
Still havent used the 4+charger i got from jimble jungle.

Hoping they not harvesting my email address/home ph.

  • Nice price thank you! :D

Yeah, sorry about that. i meant to + but hit the wrong one. So instead of -3 it should have been -1.

  • Would these work with the Harmony remotes that can use rechargeable batteries?

    • +6

No. you have to continue using the cheap fake branded ones.
Common brands are Phirrips, Toshliba, Soony and Durabell

  • awesome! grabbed one already! thanx OP

    Please read this : http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1773789&#…

  • +2

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh- this I why I don't buy batteries- I end up in a day long net runaround in the arcane world of battery charger afficianados.

  • Yups. I was checking out and it died on me. LoL.. only to find out it's out of stock.

  • That charger from Amazon… it does our voltage, but how about the plug? Does it have a separate plug? Can't work that bit out.

  • +2

Why post this when I sleep kirt?:p

  • I just use a RC Hobby charger. (Bantam e-Station BC6) Does every rechargable battery chemistry from Car Lead Acid batteries, Ni-cd, Ni-Mh, Lipos. Can charge about 20 AA batteries at one time with peak detection etc.
