      Much better. I would compare this to the v8.
      Shorter battery life than v8 and only 1 years buyer warranty vs 2 year from dyson. Probably similar levels of suck

      I ordered one too with the intention of using it as a spot cleaner type thing.

      I have the Xiaomi Gen 1 robo vac which does a pretty good job on a daily basis, and this will be for the sunken living room and if I just need a quick clean in a localised area.

      Hopefully it all works out!

      I don't think it's worth getting the V10 just for the slight performance gain. The flexible hose might be useful but I'll wait for a deal on accessories to just get that if it can be used with the V9.

      My V9 does the job well and I'm happy with it. I can do my whole place (4+2 single storey) on a single charge. Definitely get the carpet head if you have carpets.

        How has your carpet head been with hair? Does it get all caught up and accumulate in the head? I find with my current Dyson V6 I need to clear the hair from the head way too often (otherwise performance degrades quickly) and it's annoying.

    I would like to buy this, but I keep reading comments that compared to Dyson, the roller edges(the sides that hold the roller) are wider than dyson and do not clean the corners as good as dyson. Can somebody please clarify on this?

      I bought the carpet head. It's definitely worth it if you have carpets. In your case though, you should be able to get away without one as it's only 2 rugs. I find I had to really push harder and up the power/suction when using soft roller on carpets (it also depends on the thickness of the carpet).

        They actually sent me a replacement battery for free 6 months ago. Excellent customer service. I took the entire vacuum apart and gave it all a good clean and bought a replacement filter. But now cleaning it and new battery isn't fixing the issue.

    It's back. Bought one in the last run with carpet attachment. Couldn't find a decent comment about the carpet head so here is mine.

    From Day one, only used the carpet head and not the default one. Comes in two boxes and holding wall attachment is designed for the default attachments (left my main head in the box for that reason).

    Performance: Performance is better than the kmart corded vacuum (at the time of purchase, I believe it was the most expensive model so hopefully helps with guessing the model number (orange colour)). Detailed breakdown, my entire apartment is almost thick carpet (51 sqm). I can do the whole apartment with losing 1 bar battery and 2nd mode. The carpet "feels" clean once done and more "fluffy." I would say the active brush helps with this.

    Hopefully, you are happy with your purchase like I am. 5 stars.

    Thanks, we're in the market for a new stick vacuum after losing the charger for our KMart cheapie, plus it was on it's last legs (was not the best from the beginning, you get what you pay for…)

    We have the original vacuum robot after seeing raving reviews here and we weren't disappointed. Still going strong! But needed some replacement consumables which I've bought along with the stick vacuum. :)

    After seeing the LG Zero add makes me wonder if it's possible for Dyson/Xiaomi/etc to being out more direct scrubbing heads. Even if you shouldn't vacuum liquid it'd be nice something half-sponge/scrub where you could carry a spray bottle of say isoprop alcohol or similar where you could spray and run this scrubbing head over it.
