I had a nicely formatted post but then when I went to submit it said this one already existed :(

    • +1

      Post crap, then edit :)

      • Yeah, rushed it - my bad

    • Was you posted listed as "TARGETED"?… this one should be.

  • +2

    Please put…

    Coupon code
    Start date
    Expiry date

    • +1

      fixed sorry >.<

  • +13

Can confirm this is available now,
Promo code is: 𝐂𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐃𝟏𝟗 (however if you signup form the link provided it should auto-fill)

Additionally, there WILL be support for existing customers to be announced likely on Monday or Tuesday as there is more work involved.
NBN’s relief package for existing residential customers covers who are facing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic eg. where a member of the household is receiving the JobSeeker Payment or Family Tax Benefit Part A or Part B will be eligible to apply for a discount to their service.
Again, more information on this will be posted to Facebook and emailed to existing customers early next week.

    • +1

On Monday or Tuesday is there any plan for new customers, Not existing superloop customers but who full-fills all other requirements except "and not currently be connected to the NBN network at your address"

      • YEs, the idea is the offerings will cover all others that fit the requirements other than not currently be connected to the NBN
the offer will be large discounts against the existing plan.

        • +1

Any update for existing customers on unemployment or Jobseekers?

        • +1

Additionally, there WILL be support for existing customers to be announced likely on Monday or Tuesday as there is more work involved.

          Any update on this?

    • +1

Still waiting for support for existing customers. What should we do to have discount?

  • -4

These really should all be combined into one post
it is not the ISP who is offering this per say, its a NBN initiative being delivered by the ISP

    • +11

every ISP may offer something different, Some may still charge the difference or part of it.
Not every ISP has taken up the offer form NBN.

        • The NBN package will always include 6m free access on 25/5 plan no matter who you go with.

          So?
The ISP might not pass that discount on.

          • @spaceflight: Pretty sure the ISP can't choose to just not pass on the offer.

            • @timps: Yes they can.

Did you even read the comment from the rep who replied to you?

              Here is the relevant part

Not every ISP has taken up the offer form NBN.

            • @timps: This isn't like the JobKeeper that the government is giving out $1500 a fortnight to those who are eligible. Those companies "must" pay the eligible employee $1500 before tax.
NBN's offer is different. NBN isn't charging the service providers for those connections. However the providers may charge the consumer for other fees, such as admin and connection fees.

    • +3

I dont know why so many negs on jimbobaus post as the post is valid but i think it should be grouped on OZB in some way as the discount its from NBN and then translated down to the RSP.

Similar to the Self Isolation deals post on the main page these should be grouped in some way as they are directly COVID related as even the business ones require a reported drop in usage or something similar to qualify vs 'entering a code' and thats coming from NBN not the RSP

Just be handy for OZB to have a single location showing all RSP's options available vs post by post,

  • by going through signup process, what i have can see is the zero dollar fee is for just 1 month…its not free then 2nd 3rd and so months…seems like a trap.

    • +2

i can confirm it is free until September 30.
the process does say that after September 30 it will charge you the normal plan price.
(should be displayed on final confirmation page, and discount should show in big red text)

  • How does one verify that they are receiving FTB A&B?

    • Log into myGov then check Centrelink

      • I mean in the superloop application form?

        • +1

it is a confirmation box on signup and you confirm that you are eligible.

  • -1

So if you already have the NBN with a different company can you just cancel your NBN and sign up for this?

    • +3

have not had an nbn™ service with any other provider since March 1, 2020

  • i am stuck On contract selection page, it does not list any contract length hence Continue button is disabled.
    Help please

    • Try on PC not your phone

    • +2

HI there was a little edge case error on the signup form and we had a few error reports come in,
it is now fixed, please refresh the signup page and should be good to go!

      • Why does it automatically selects wireless NBN and shows that i live in Superloop Premium Apartment!

If i dont enter unit number and just building address then it allows me to select fixed plan as well.

        Please help

  • Hi Superloop, I've met all the requirements above, however I just signed up ABB NBN plan last week and await for installation (don't have NBN), can I cancel ABB and sign here and is it eligible? Thanks

    • +2

yes as long as it has not been connected.

    • +1

ABB are doing the same thing - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/531553 - actually lasts a little longer as they are 6 months (so presumably to October whatever rather than a fixed Sept 30 cutoff).

edit: Don't mean to crap on Superloop's offer, fantastic to see a great company waiving the whole fee and not just the wholesale cost, but figure it might be easier than trying to switch providers mid-setup (and a small cost benefit).

  • -8

    Too many conditions. Past!

    • +1

      Past?

  • Is there a $300 connection fee on top of this?

    • +5

Unfortunately, the $300 NDF (new development fee) may still apply to new developments. This is a fee NBN charges and is directly passed on.
There has been no update or any suggestion from NBN about the possibility of removing this fee.
If you place an order, the order will stop and SMS you requesting your authorization to proceed if the fee applies to you. you can cancel your order at this time if you do not wish to proceed. If the fee does not apply, the process will continue normally.

      • Thanks warsome. After paying the $300 NDF does the connection process with Superloop continue or does this usually require someone from NBN to come out to the premises and do something?

        • +1

usually, if you have a NDF fee it does mean someone needs to come out to do something. Sometimes it may have already been done, our automated system will SMS you updates as the process goes on and will let you know if an appointment is needed, and will book it for you on the first available slot.

          • @warsome: If I’m a tenant, do I pay for the $300 NDF or does the landlord pay for it?

            • @OCD Completionist: The landlord should pay but it varies and may be down to the lease agreement.

  • +1

"and not currently be connected to the NBN network at your address." This will stop many in need from signing.

    • +3

this is a requirement from NBN, part of their eligibility.
      as reported here: https://www.itnews.com.au/news/nbn-co-to-temporarily-cut-int…

      • Thanks for sharing this article, as it mentioned "A second $50 million tranche will be allocated to households experiencing financial hardship." We'll wait to see what superloop offers for others.

  • Bugger! Not currently available at your address. Constant disappointment with my address and NBN. Good deal

  • Well played, superloop, should do something similar to seniors too

  • can't go beyond the DETAILS page of the signup, nothing happen when click continue, tried on Chrome , Edge , and firefox browsers.

    • it is working now in the morning, service is up within minutes of signup, thanks.

  • This is good corporate governance. Props to them, hope the goodwill means customers will stay with them.

    • This is being offered by the NBN. Superloop are just passing the deal on.

      https://www.itnews.com.au/news/nbn-co-to-temporarily-cut-int…

      • +2

While the NBN is covering the 'wholesale last-mile cost' this is only $37. ISP still needs to provide and cover CVC/Ip Transit/support and all the other bits and bobs. We decided as our part we can 'match' the nbn's offer to bring the plan down to 0. Other providers may not be in a position to do this, we are luckily in a position that we can.

  • +3

Hey guys, I signed up for this a few minutes after the deal was posted. Received an order confirmation immediately. Then 4 minutes later received another email stating that the service was active. I thought it must have been a mistake but I plugged in a Telstra SmartModem Gen 2 that I had laying around and to my amazement it connected straight away:

    Current Mode IPoVDSL routed mode
    xDSL Current Status Connected
    WAN STATUS UPTIME 0:56:44 (hh:mm:ss)
    DSL RX Rate 27790 Kbps
    DSL TX Rate 6400 Kbps

    Thanks SuperLoop, amazing.

    • Do you mean you were able to connect without the NBN box?

      • +1

I'm renting. I can only assume that the previous tenant had an NBN service and that there were no physical changes that needed to be made at my end.

      • FTTN Services don't need NBN Box (NTD)

        • Hi can you explain this to me. I haven’t had nbn before so can they connect it without a tech coming?
Do I need to purchase a modem?

          • @Oz em: Superloop inform you if a tech comes to do the install or install yourself.

HFC needs a NBN NTD and router.

  • +1

If we recently moved to a new place does this make us eligible? The place was connected with NBN previously (previous tenant)

    • yes

  • +1

Isn't job keeper still not available?

    • Yeah, jobkeeper payments won’t start until may I believe (backdated to March)… so people who apply for this now better hope that their employer and they are eligible for jobkeeper and get those payments or else might face unexpected charges from Superloop?

  • Great deal and I'll be eligible due to jobseekers but we can't get nbn, only opticomm.does anyone know of a similar deal for opticomm estates?

  • +1

Good luck getting support from these guys if you have a problem they replied back to my ticket after 5 weeks 🤦‍♂️

  • -1

My place have nbn ready but no connection yet. Successfully signed with superloop and got email that the order has beeb raised with nbn. How long will it take to complete the whole process i.e. I have nbn internet at home?

  • Is the NBN going to make it cheaper for existing NBN users in this time?

  • So hang on, you can disconnected from the NBN then rejoin, right?

  • Apparently I'll need a VDSL2 modem? Any recommendations for an ozbargainer?

    • Are you connected with FTTN or FTTB or something else?

      Find out here

      • Yeh I've already looked it's FTTB

        • How much do you wanna spend?

  • Can you update your CIS to reflect the unconnected month and also the jobseeker requirement? Or is this another plan?

As of the date of the announcement I had been disconnected from the NBN for at least a few days. I'm really struggling at the moment and surviving on my Boost prepaid plan 80GB. I lost my job and have applied for Jobseeker on the 3 April but will only know the outcome approx 23 April. I think by the time my jobseeker payment is sorted out, I will have been disconnected from the NBN for over a month.

I don't know if I qualify under the current conditions listed in the CIS. Can you clarify with those at Superloop managers? I think it should be reasonable that I should qualify, but I don't know if I do. I don't have children… x_X

    • you sound like you will pass the sniff test then :)

  • though this is free, optus only charges me 70/mo with fetch tv already because i have a mobile plan with them also.

    • +4

$70 per month plus whatever your mobile plan costs is a lot more than $0 and a lot of money for someone who doesn't have a job.

  • +3

Great for the disadvantaged students at the school I work at. Have passed this onto our principal.

    • You can pass this one too
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/531553

It is an NBN promotion so most ISPs should offer it.

      • Cheers. I mentioned other ISPs would likely offer the same deal. Will probably reccomend Aussie due to their support which parents will need.

        • I am with superloop and can recommend their support too.

  • +1

    Is university-aged school-aged?

    • +1

      yes

  • Do we need to provide our own modem?

    • yes

      • Thanks. Can you point me to info on what typre of modem i'll require for this connection. I have a TPLINK Archer D20 but not sure if it's compatible.

        • +1

What type of NBN? Find out here

D20 does work on the NBN.

          • @Twix: FTTN.

"…you will need an NBN Compliant VDSL2 Modem Router for NBN Fibre-to-the-Node (FTTN)."

I know the D20 is 'NBN Ready' but can't find if it's VDSL2 compliant.

            • @Villainous: D20 is not VDSL2 compliant.

              • +1

@Twix: Thought so but wanted to be sure. Thanks.

Looking around for a cheap modem it looks like the TG799VAC might be the go @ around $30 on ebay.

                • +1

@Villainous: Go for it. The TG799VAC is a good VDSL2 compliant modem.

  • if i switch to superloop's 100/20 or 100/40 will my nbn speed improve or i have wait till mt streets infrastructure get upgraded? thanks.

nbn co confirmed for us that the maximum download speed that a service provider can deliver to your location is 45Mbps.

This means that your location is not capable of receiving the maximum download speed available on the $89 Premium nbn™ Month to Month Plan∼, which is 100Mbps.

Based on this new information, we are going to move you to our $69 Essential+ nbn™ Month to Month Plan. As this plan provides a maximum download speed of 50Mbps, it is better suited to your location which can achieve a maximum of 45Mbps. You shouldn't notice any change in using Vodafone nbn
