HI is stuff bought on eBay New eligible for Price protection?

    • Same - $10 back from $600

    • same

    • +5

      same.. $600 get $10 .. i think it's pretty shite

      • Agree and received the same offer also

  • +3

    The $20/$1300 equates to a 1.5% discount
    $10/$600 is 1.6%

I suppose it is ok if you were already planning on a purchase to the stated value.

    • Probably paying bills or buying discount gift cards

    • Put all of your bills on your credit-card and pay it all off at the end of the month.

      • +1

Only if your bills don't incur a credit card surcharge, which they usually do.

In any case, frequent flyer sign up bonuses are better.

        • also feed as Cash Advances some instances?

I got spend $100 get $20 back so there's potential there

    • +1

Same for me. I haven't used the card in a very long time so may be trying to entice me back.

      • I got this too and I had cancelled my card a few months ago. Bit annoying.

    • twinsies

    • Same, I haven't used the card before so I'm assuming that's why it's so big to get me spending :)

    • Same, card has been at 0 for months. Definitely trying to entice me.

  • I got "Spend $250 and get a $20 credit back."

    • Me too!

    • Me three

    • Same.

    • Same. Haven't used the card in a while.

  • +6

    $900 for $10…

    • +2

Yeah same, this is pretty weak haha

    • same..pathetic

    • +1

I got the same. Anyone tried asking for more?

My main spending within Australia is on another card which has purchasing insurance on it.

I won't switch based on the paltry amount.

      • Which card is that? I have purchase protection on the 28 Degrees card. They don't offer it any more so I'm grateful to be able to claim everything back haha.

        • Really? I hadn't noticed they don't offer it any more

        • +1

i missed out on the Coles MC with 2 year price protection,
Heck no i wasnt missing out on the 28D :) was 6 months then they upped to 12 mths coverage while ago too!

      • Which card?

    • Me too

    • Got same offer, spend $900 get $10 back…not a good offer compared to others

    • Got the same. So mad cos I activated it to buy S20, but the Samsung newsletter bonus of $50 brought it down to $894!

      • You can met your spend in more than one transaction. It's a monthly spend.

  • Got $20 for $1200. Last time it was $20 for $900.

They are trying to "train" your spending.

    • Agreed.. I've usually had 'good' offers compared to what other people seem to get (i.e. lower min spends), but this time got $1500 for $20 back..

Wondering whether it's worth activating when not intending to meet the criteria to show interest or whether its better to ignore and hopefully get a better offer from the algorithm next time.

      • I got the same spending $1500 for $20… worst thing is I paid all my bills this morning, the email offer came in the afternoon…

  • +1

$20 for $1700 here. Just spent $700 the other week…

  • +6

got nothing guessing its because i am making the most of the price protection :)

    • What's the link to claim? I tried on my phone the other day and their mobile site was broken (conveniently ^^)

    • Me too … Hit the $5000 per 12m limit yesterday.

      • +1

Careful IIRC there is a $20k/lifetime limit.

        • That's not in the PDS anywhere 🤔

EDIT: I think I see what you mean. Here's the PDS; https://assets.latitudefinancial.com/legals/product-disclosu…

It's $20k in a 12 month period if you factor ALL the insurances together, including merchandise protection. Not lifetime. But I could very well be wrong. It's a bit ambiguous!

          • @fluffymurderball: Doesn't seem so ambiguous to me.
Listed under Price Protection it says

            "There’s a maximum benefit.

The maximum policy benefit we’ll pay is $20,000. That means you can make multiple claims during the period you are insured, but the maximum total we will pay across all of those claims is $20,000."

            • @bamzero: That's the clause as I remember it, yes.

I read in a comment here you can't get the price protection any more? So, couldn't sign up your partner for a card to refresh your limit? I'm hoping that comment was wrong.

              • @justtoreply: Yeh unfortunately they stopped offering new insurance policies for a while now.

                • @bamzero: Thanks for confirming. Do you know if there are any other cards with this? Might be worth getting one now before they all disappear.

            • @bamzero: So when it hits $20k what happens? Does the policy get cancelled?
              ^^^ That is called ambiguity

              • @fluffymurderball: No, you still have other covers but they'll just reject any further price protection claims.

  • $20 back when spend $1200 with ours.

  • $20 for 2000.
Spent over that, 6 weeks ago. Damnnnnnn

  • i have nothing either

  • $20 for $250 spend. April offer was spend $300…so going down :)

  • +1

dunno why I never get these emails - although i only use my card for travelling o/s

  • Does this card allow new users to join their insurance policies now?

    • They do not

  • $20 for $1,200 here too

  • I got: Spend $900 and get a $10 credit back.

  • Spend $250 and get a $20 credit back.
    Credit Limit: 3500

  • Anyone tried lodging a price protection claim lately?

On the declaratioon screen, when I click submit, it takes me back to the first screen without actually submitting. I can't make the form submit. I've tried two pc's, multiple browsers and an android phone. It's been this way since February for me.

I tried calling customer service this week. Almost three hours waiting for one of their staff to pick up before I gave up. Not to mention being hung up on.

    • I've heard this can happen if you put too much in the description box.

      • Thanks, I'll give it a go. I definitely could have had too much in the description box.

    • Worked for me not long ago, are you doing it via mobile? I had to use a laptop as I was getting issues too.

    • It also doesn’t like urls in the description box.

      • Thanks, I didn't have any, but good to know.

Thanks for all the genuinely helpful replies everyone!

    • I've had this happen a few times. I just try again later and it goes through ok.
For me it says there's some error with submission, I'm not sure it goes back to first page though.

  • I got $20 for $100 spend

  • I got 20 for 250 spend

  • Do purchases have to be a single transaction or spread over various purchases to the required amount

    • Can be a single or more transactions.

  • i got $20 for $2000 spend

  • I got $20 for $250 spend

  • I got $20 for $100. Although I haven't used this card in probably 2 years so that's probably why

  • +4

Mine is $50 cash back if spending $3400. They are probably thinking I am a millionaire. Lame.

    • I got the same haha

      • Looks like I'm not quite a millionaire yet.

That's why we're giving you a $50 credit when you spend $2,300 or more* on your Latitude 28

  • Didn't get anything, the cretins..
My paypass doesn't even work haha.

  • +1

Does anyone have any issue with a similar kind of promotion previously?

I waited 2 months on 2 promotions and need to chase them up serval times to get the credit. Personally think my time is well worth spending on other things than chasing them up

    • I've had to call them up about my cashback from previous promotions, but I did get my money in the end.

    • +1

Yep. I've been played like a violin too many times. I've gotten about 3-4x of these promos over the last year and I had to get customer service to apply a manual credit for each one of them.

One time, I had about 20+ transactions needing 700+. So, the agent got a calculator and started totaling up manually to see if I actually met promo reqs. I don't think this shit is automatic. I swear some Latitude marketing bigwig.. "Let's get a promo started where people have to spend 1000 to get $20. Then only apply the credit 3 months later ONLY if they call it in. Most people will have forgotten about it and the few people that do call it in will have to deal with our overseas agents who never heard of this promo. I predict a take-up rate of 25%. This is absolutely brilliant. Can I get an advance on my EOFY bonus? Thx"

      • +1

Good to know, it's time to use ozb reminder then :)

I'll put the T&C here for my future reference:

    • This is the same crap that happens every time.

I spent $400, few months later I remembered to call up and see where the cashback was. They said it will be in your account by a month. Month later nothing happens.

Called up twice, what a waste of time.

Why even give out these deals if they don't want to honour them.

I got a targetted email spend $250 get 20 back. I cant be flapped. The whole company is a joke, I was so close to lodging a complaint with the financial ombudsman, its not the $20, its the shifty shit they are trying to pull everytime.

      • From a few replies , I can tell they do this on propose.

  • I got nothing (yet?)

  • +2

    Spend $5500 get $50

    Wow

  • $2700 spend for $50 credit back

  • +3

Man what kinda cash flow do they think i have? lol

"Spend $5,500 and get a $50 credit back."

  • $20 for $1500. It’s not my everyday card and I don’t think I can be bothered(given I’d then have Two sizeable CC bills to pay. (I usually use 28d for OS purchases. Oh, and amazon)

    • Why Amazon? Price protection?

      • Amazon US rather than.au

  • I got nothing, I guess I already spend too much.
