Hi OzBargain,

First post so be gentle. Been in the market for a new monitor recently and was only looking at 32" and above. Found this on Amazon today at $469 free shipping with prime. Does say about 1-2 months for shipping but if you're happy to wait it's a very competitive price. Sadly found no good EOFY deals for a monitor most likely due to the WFH premiums all retailers seem to refuse to lower (that or no stock issues).

      Nope - it’s nice for office work. I’m not a huge fan of 32” for (casual) gaming though so I’m sliding down to the 27” screens.

              @congo: Atleast for me the difference between 1440p and 2160p isnt enough to justify the drop in frame rate, swapped out my 27" 4k 60hz monitor for a similar 32" 1440p 144hz monitor and I like it much more.

      1440p 32" has the exact same PPI as 1080p 24" (~92 ish), which everyone here seems to love.

      had 32” for 1440p .ips ….looked grainy, went to 4k at 28” and it’s sweet as ….if i go 32” again it will be 4 k.

      I have a 31.5" 2k display and although it's the same pixel density as 1080p 24", I still find it grainy. I love the size, but I'd recommend 4k for >32"

    Been on the hunt for monitors since mid last year and was finally ready to upgrade to an 34" WQHD ultrawide from my current and aged dual 24" FHD monitors. Then COVID-19 hits and all the monitors get jacked up for WFH. Honestly thought the prices would decrease by now but then most places don't have stock till July/August long after any EOFY are to be had.

    So I decided to bite the trigger and order one, will update on the actual delivery timeframe if anyone is wondering!

        Same boat as me, I'm at 8 years on my crappy 24" screens but enough was enough when I missed out on the WQHD 34" Xiaomi Surface for $660~ about a fortnight ago. EOFY deals are looking to be pretty lackluster this year round to no surprise

      I had actually checked their education store out but wanted to make the purchase this financial year. From my understanding I think I can cancel the order on Amazon if the dispatch is ETA'd at 1 month if the Samsung store gets any stock before then ¯_(ツ)_/¯

          Yes, my TUF x570 motherboard was said to instock in Aug when I ordered, I think it gives me plenty time to amend or cancel the order. To my surprise, it was sent out this thursday and will arrive tomorrow, I dont even have most of component ready.

      I just got the the Dell S3220DGF on the Amazon deal, good spec and quality. Was $698 so a bit more money but retail is just under $1k. Edit just checked but unavailable now too, cold keep an eye on both incase stock gets replenished.

      Agree, prices have still been high but I also wanted to claim something on tax this year too. None of the ultrawide monitors were cheap and would want 4k g for those. Otherwise I'm not fussed on 4k takes too much power to run games at that res suppose office work good but bit of an overkill in a 32". Seems a bit old school getting a 27" these days but like the extra real-estate of the 32" (and use dual 24" at work for productivity so this will be something different but good for some casual games).

    Does anyone have feedback on using a curved monitor with day-to-day usage? I'm a developer so I'd like something like this for both gaming and productivity. Just not sure if it would be too weird to use all the time.

      I like it. Have an Ultrawide though. I find that in a bright room it's handy with reflections. Gives a uniform picture.

      Ive got the 27" version of this model which i bought about 3 months back and the curve is barely noticeable for me, its a subtle curve and looks quite natural and i think it helps with games/movies when sitting at the optimum distance from the screen.

      Productivity isnt an issue either, have been using it for working from home and doing masters assignments and such for the time ive owned it, its really quite subtle so havent noticed any issues.

        Have the same one and I agree, I like the curve. I actually went to check out the flat 27" my dad took home from work and it almost looks like it's curved backwards now, kinda weird. If I had the choice now I'd have gone for a 34" ultrawide but it's still nice to have 1440p.

    I have this monitor since COVID. It sometimes flickers on the left hand side on its own with no reason. But it’s fine when switch off and on again. Weird situation.

    I grabbed one going up from a 27inch 2k 144hz IPS.
    I have a curved 32inch cheap Aslivita monitor from amazon on my secondary and it has been pretty nice and I would use it for my main if it wasn’t 75 Hz.

    The size the curve and refresh rate sold it for me.

          The AstiVita (not sure if I can say I've heard of this brand before) looks like to be a decent deal at that price point especially in today's market.

          Also looks like the deal just sold out then so I can't pick up another 32" Samsung for a dual setup. But I figured I'd try one first since I'm making the transition over from 2 x 24" screens.

            The reason I am buying the deal you posted is I find myself playing and watching more stuff on the 32inch cheapy as opposed to the excellent 27 IPS i have.

      Yes. Absolutely! You can notice it even in Windows/Office/Browsing etc. Much easier on the eyes. Once you try it you'll never go back. Just make sure you select 144Hz in monitor properties.

        Make sure it's actually set to the correct refresh rate within Windows. Also yeah that happens to some people but once they go back to a 60hz monitor then it clicks.

    Have a Dell 29" Ultra wide, 24" Dell and 40" Philips from a deal few years ago. A flat 40" 4k is just too much eye travel.

    the 32 ich replaced the 24 inch dell, and whilst the curve took a little time to get used to the eye strain dropped. The 1440 pixels feels perfect ppi

    Only downside is that the Samsung monitor has no USB ports. The USB 3 hub on both the Phillips and the dell screens are very useful to have

      I'm not really convinced on the curved screen so I'll go with a flat. Just wanted your opinion, do you think a 4k 28" flat screen would be the sweet spot in terms of not stressing your eye out (eye travel)

        Using a 4k 28" right now, and its a bit overkill perhaps but its fine as long as youre about 80+cm away. Not very good if you have a shallow desk I suppose.

        I struggle on my surface pro with icons being too small and have to upscale zoom/view

        1440 is good for me at 32". 4k should also be good but I personally don't need it

        4k in 28" feels like my surface pro issue with miniature text and not worth it. Maybe 20/20 vision and 21 years' eyes you may value the Debussy of pixels… For everyone else 1440 on 32" is a good fit

        I loved 1200p on my 24"

          Agree, I think you have to sit back/move the monitor back further when you switch to a 32", particularly to see the edges which is where in think curved helps. Dual 1080p isn't an issue as you can angle the screens as desired.

          It's get 4k in an ultra wide, but those are too expensive.

    i have the 27" version of this which is a very nice monitor (culdnt find stock of either for ages, I think it was shoppingexpress that had limited stock a few weeks ago).

    32 would be fine to be honest but after gaming on a 32" FHD monitor then moving to 27" 2k 144, i couldnt go back. not just the resolution and refresh, but 32 is (for me) too big to game on, i cant even see the whole screen so it is a bit of a waste. Id personally recommend the 27 if you can get it. 32 would be great for home office purposes though

        I went with LG from PLE in the end - still a bit of a wait but solid reviews/flat screen swayed me.

        Either should be great for high refresh rate gaming and 1440p.

            @sibyl: Yeah seems the newer LG is a lot dearer for 32" 144hz 1440p specs.

            Getting the Ryzen 3500x, but swapped out the rtx2060 to Amd RX5700XT. Upped ram and motherboard.
            Got a Samsung EVO ssd 1tb with Rainbow six promo.
            Re- used ASUS bluray (4k ccompatible) plus sucked a 4tb 2.5" seagate.
