you are wasting your internet bandwidth on another PC. dont do that plz

  • Got it

  • Got one.. drop came a bit late

  • +1

Got One !!! Missed at 10 am, was able to add to cart at 12 and got one at 2 :D day well spent

    • so you were at the checkout page ready to hit confirm and pay…. all codes and everything applied?

      • yes, from the 12 pm one I had it in the card and confirm and pay stage (Code already in and applied) did not close the tab

    • I had it in my cart but it just keeps giving me an error saying “seller doesn’t have that many left” am I doing something wrong?

      • I had the same message but I was a bit hesitant to keep hitting 'Confirm and pay' too many times, because when I did that the first time on the 10am drop I ended up getting kicked out of the checkout screen after spamming the button 5 or six times.

Does anyone have any tips on avoiding that?

        • +1

first check your history to get back to the checkout screen. Then right click the tab on chrome and duplicate checkout screen. START spamming 2-3 tabs 1 second apart at XX:59:58. 1 second spam each page. Spam to much theyll think you are a bot

          • @tomless: Ok thanks I will try that.

            • @hfszeto: Is the deal restricted to one item per buyer or one item per buyer per drop?

              • +1

@Going Broke: I think it's only one item per buyer - so if you successfully ordered one in an earlier drop you won't be able to order another in a subsequent drop.

              • @Going Broke: 1 item per buyer/ebay plus account (you get 1 redemption code - and it will be marked as "redeemed").
Maybe some people have multiple accounts (I don't) - they could technically buy 1 per account.

          • +1

@tomless: Thanks - I've managed to get one for the 4pm drop by following your advice :)

          • +1

            @tomless: Thanks, got one.

  • -1

Failed to purchase on the second it’s up. It’s a competition still, no one with an android phone needs a watch unless they are brodening it.

    • -1

pretty sure a good amount of people buying it to sell

      • how much profit you can get? in gumtree you receive heaps of low ball offers, maybe make 50 dollars but the time and risk involves?

        • +1

yeah that's why you don't sell om Gumtree coz it's dodgy

profit is a profit… hardly any risk if you are an ebay plus member. heck you could return it free if you couldn't sell for a profit

      • they don't sell like airpods, I am surprices they are selling out that quick, may just because it's apple !

  • SO i missed out, but am on the confirm and pay page, do i just keep spamming the button next time or should I add it to cart?

    • +1

Leave that page open. Wait until the 4pm drop, as soon as it hits 4pm spam the confirm and pay button. I was on the same page at 12pm and missed out, but managed to score one at 2pm by spamming the confirm and pay button. Good luck!

    • Don't do anything. Just leave the page as it is and exactly at 4 try to spam the confirm and pay button.

Don't forget to apply coupon code.

    • Credit/debit card is preferred as its faster processing. Also make sure you don't accidentally click links near 'confirm and pay'

      • i had it entered from the last check out, but it asked for it again.

  • +1

I was wondering why everytime for those deals - if I can not secure one, the page will change to'This item isn't available in the requested quantity. It may have been purchased already, or the listing has expired.' rather than still in cart page?

  • +1

Got one. Had it ready on my phone from 12pm and paid with PayPal. Kept pressing order.

  • Got one, noice.

  • Third time lucky :) Had it on the confirm and pay page and just kept clicking the button from 1.59pm. Thanks OP!

    • Yeah, same here. Looks like that's the only trick to getting into these popular deals.

  • I have screen shot of "Thanks! Your order was placed." but there is nothing shown up for purchase.
I check the item page again but it coupon code is still valid. What da hell ..

    • That means u didn't get. same thing happened for a lot of people for AirPods.

  • Does anyone know if you can get Shopback cash back on these ebay plus deals?

    • cash back is not vaild if using any code

      • got it cheers

  • nice

  • I got kicked out of the "Confirm and Pay" page to an error page. This happens 50% of the time when I was too slow and I can't go back to the "Confirm and Pay" page.

How do I go back in Chrome?

    • +1

You could open your History in Chrome, and find the checkout page and try reloading it again. Chrome usually caches recent pages.

      • Thanks shaphit and SR9!

    • +1

Ctrl H if you are using window.

    • +1

CTRL + SHIFT + T until you find checkout page.

      • Great. Thank you so much!

  • -1

LOL nice - a few have appeared on Facebook Marketplace already.

    • Are they taking pre-orders? coz they won't get it for another 2-3 days LOL

      • hahaha true!

  • If they restricted the specials to users with greater than 5 feedback score it would free up a lot of stock for the rest of us…

    • That's the problem. Ebay wants NEW members not just new Ebay Plus members. If these deals are not available to new members it defeats the their purpose.

    • Or PAID eBay Plus members, would stop people signing up new trial accounts.

  • I am gonna try to get Apple Watch… Wish me luck

    • Likewise

      • Best of luck… 30 secs

  • Got it!!! :)

    • +2

I've spoken too soon :( I saw the order confirmed page but received no notification and then checked the Purchase History looks like there's no trace of it at all (and my credit card didn't get charged either!?

Going to hop on the ebay chat and find out what happened….

      • Weirdly enough though, when I go the eBay Help section the Apple Watch does show up as the list of 'Recent Purchase Items' so I don't know if this was just a strange eBay glitch and that my order has indeed gone through.

        • Sigh…. eBay customer support is utterly useless, they keep giving me this standard spiel :(

Our data shows that there were only seconds interval between each successful purchase. By the time, you were at the checkout page, it's possible that the deal is still in stock. But by the time your payment was already being processed, it already went out of stock. So, instead of letting your payment go through, it went to payment being processed and suddenly went to cancelled.

So they are essentially saying that the payment didn't get processed in time. What absolute bollocks - if that's the case then why show the 'Order confirmed' page at all, and why did it disappear from the purchase history entirely (irrespective of whether it was successful or not).

Just wondering if there's a formal channel to lodge a complaint with eBay?

          • @hfszeto: No chance mate

            • @Poor Ass: well that sucks :(

              • @hfszeto: Ya my theory is that ebay compensates some of the discounts on these eBay plus deals. They're not going to bite the hand that feeds them.

Also I only snagged the watch because I missed out on one of the earlier sessions and it kept saying seller does not have enough. So when it came to the next session it was still in my cart. I just kept smashing pay and confirm on the dot. Even then I got a message saying the seller has altered the listing and I had to refresh… So I ended up like the 90 something person to buy the watch 13seconds after the session started. Gotta be quick.

                Sucks

                • @Poor Ass: The problem is though I used exactly the same approach on the 4pm drop as everyone here with the item being in the checkout and multiple tabs opened - at first I thought I got lucky because the moment the clock strikes 03:59:59 when I hit the confirm and pay on the first tab it got directed to the Order confirmed page, the problem was I also had the second and third tabs being hit one second apart and they ended getting dropped from the checkout (initially I thought this was because from the first tab the order has been confirmed and payment is being processed).

Then I realised something was off when I didn't get the email order confirmed and it has not shown up in my purchase history and my credit card was not charged). I went to eBay chat to enquire about this and they gave me the same explanation about my payment not being processed fast enough - if that's the case then why is there no record in the payment history to at least show that the payment pending then cancelled (which is what I have previously seen with the Airpod that I tried to purchase)?

eBay really needs to improve their payment processing so that it doesn't give inconsistent and flat out inaccurate messages to their customers …..

                  • @hfszeto: Ya I think everyone gets the same but once it goes over 100 buys the excuses roll in

                    You did everything right indeed

  • Wow got one ! The check out trick worked :D

    • What's the check out trick?

      • +1

You need to be on the check out page before the deal starts. This can only be done using drops from previous time slots. You then fill in all your CC details, gift cards etc. and get ready hit the "Confirm and Order" button once the drop starts

        • Thanks, I happened to be able to enter the confirm and pay page and will try it on the next time slot

          • @becku: Yes make sure to have all details filled in and ready to go once the clock hits 6pm !

    • Could you explain how to do it please?

  • +6

Sigh, missed out for a 4th time.

    • Same, 4th time. Still in cart but didn't go through

    • Same mate.

      • First checkout attempt at 4pm failed too for me, but I had a few other tabs open where I could immediately click.
        Second one worked.
        Good luck at 6pm!

        • Other tabs?

  • +2

Damn it, it asked me to enter my credit card detail again >_<

  • +1

Finally got one after missing out all morning

  • I had it in my cart from 14:00. Clicked Pay now and got an error.
This is super unfair ebay! Extremely dissapointed

  • have it in my checkout page since 2pm, click confirm and buy at 4 and still miss out. sigh

  • I have tried all the methods mentioned. It was sold within 30 milliseconds that is less than a second. Not a chance in hell.

  • Finally after 4th tries!! Dont give up guys :)
Not sure if this helps…I scored it through Ebay app, have everything ready like payment details and discount code, and I opened worldtimeserver.com, then keep clicking confirm when it showed 15:59:55.

  • I tried :'( Sorry mum you wont be getting an apple watch for your birthday

  • Did everything right this time still missed out. Have given up now, precious time wasted. Will go buy one listed on FB or Gumtree from the bots.

    • If you used chrome and got to the checkout page, try opening a few tabs. (This worked the 4th time for me, and first checkout failed too).
I don't like the contest aspect. It's not just about being the fastest, ebay can still refuse the first transaction (server too busy or I don't know what).
      You need luck too unfortunately.

      • True that but actually over it call it sour grapes. Additionally too much time wasted. I paid $49 for eBay plus membership and never found use of it once. Wont be renewing it.

        • I only joined ebay plus with the $50 voucher (so technically got $1 to join).
But I agree, won't be renewing for $50.

  • +1

Woo hoo, 4th time lucky! Bloody hell I didn’t think it was going to happen as I was pressing “confirmed and pay” in the checkout a few times then thought I had the spinny wheel of death but it finally went thru!

  • -6

Finally got one! Had 4 windows split on my computer screen and went went around clicking confirm continuously :')

    • It's a real shame that people have resorted to these types of buying tactics.

      • It's essentially the same as spamming the confirm button which is what everyone else did..

  • Got one!!! I've been trying all day….

cue CSI Miami music yeeeeeeeeeeah puts sunnies on

  • sadly couldn't even add it to cart. refreshed exactly on time and the sold amount jumped by 100 and was still sold out

    • +1

it needs to be added to the cart from the previous 2pm, 12 or 10am deal

that way you just need to press pay and confirm when it hits 4pm

      otherwise it'll be sold out

      • YEp, that's exactly how I got one. You need to try to buy it in the earliest drop of the day and if you miss out, leave your payment page open, with the item in the cart (very important). Then you just keeping mashing the pay button about 10 seconds to the drop out until it works.

Just adding it to the cart won't work - you need to be already on the payment page at the drop time.

        • +1

actually I had to hit it twice

first time I got the seller changed the listing message

          • @Poor Ass: Got exactly the same message and was redirected from the Checkout page :-/

          • @Poor Ass: Got the same message then next click it has sold out.

            • @SR9: i think press back or refresh and it worked

it was so fast I can't think straight
