    Here we go again :)

there is better odds that a bird will shit on you
than getting any of these deals

      • I understand people's frustrations but I've been one of the few lucky ones to win some of the lotteries without a script, just lots of patience and dedication and perhaps luck 🙂

      • +9

Can’t agree more. This whole thing sounds like a big scam. Products disappear in Nanoseconds. Why can’t they come up with something more legit!

  • Love these sales 😳

  • +2

Apple watch is $399 but the title says $349

    • Updated Title to $399

  • +12

    Thanks dealbot,
I presume the A70s will be the same opened and re-packed ones from Allphones.

    • +1

      What was this about?

      • +10

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/544123
People received re-sealed opened box phones.
The rep said they were legit and the were just opened to reflash with the latest firmware but its illogical as they were recent production (April 2020)
My best guess is that they were intended for another market or Telco branded.

        • +1

          Mine was fine.

        • -1

I agree rep should have disclosed this had happened, but fact of the matter is they were all still brand new just open box. 99% sure that the flashing was done to remove Telco branding (as I have seen this happen multiple times before usually on EOL phones being cleared out), hence the need to do it on such recently produced models.

        • I previously bought a Samsung Galaxy phone and Samsung Watch from Mobileciti and both had been re-sealed as I could see another torn seal under the seal. Mobileciti never mentioned any of that on their website. I was bit skeptical about it. The watch did however develop a fault later and I took it to Samsung Store at Highpoint (Melbourne) and it was fixed under warranty so not sure if re-sealing made any difference.

  • Who would be seller for Apple watch?

    • +10

It's not on their store yet. I will update OP when it is.

      • +1

        Updated link.

  • +6

Wow eBay must definitely pay for that 'article' in the Daily Mail.
    It's basically an infomercial

    • +9

      Aren’t most news sites?

    • The did the same thing a couple of weeks back: https://www.news.com.au/finance/business/retail/amazon-austr…

Turning advertisement into a "news" article must be part of their restructured business model… :-|

      • This is now done worldwide. Even governments are showcasing their achievements via advertisements which look like news.

        • +2

Yup! It's unfortunate that so many people are blind to it. Google News helps me filter the BS from the actual news at least (for the most part).

          • +3

@KangaDrew: Probably why the government after lobbying by the news outlets want to force Google to pay for articles appearing in Google News now.

            • -1

@lint: Exactly! Google News is simply an aggregator. News Corp can EAD as far as I am concerned lol

  • +1

Really hope amazon comes up with better strategy than this and teach these guys on sales marketing

    • +11

Dynamic pricing. eBay ones are more manual and jacked by sellers. Amazon use algro for items sold by themselves.

      Shonky fleabay.

      • Avatar checks out

Hoping to snag that slow cooker. On the fence for the Apple Watch. What are your thoughts on Apple Watch 5?

    • +1

You need an iPhone with the latest IOS to use the Apple Watch, I love mine.

      • The slow cooker also has Bluetooth and calorie counter so will pair perfectly with the Apple Watch….

        Good buying combination OzCheapo

        • +1

You forgot NFC and Band 28

    • Buy it

      • Good luck!

    • +4

I’ve hardly used mine because at home, it keeps telling you you’re not exercising enough.

      • The slow cooker tells you that??

      • This decides it, will pass on the Apple Watch. Great as it looks, it's another distraction I could do without

        • +4

In a world without Covid, or if you still go to work everyday its amazing to have, albeit expensive. But if you are still WFH then perhaps not so much.

    • +1

Probably can't go wrong with a Series 5, but keep in mind new models coming in about three months.

  • Apple Watch seems nice

    • I wonder if a newer model will be announced at WWDC next week.

      • +8

In September with the New iPhones like every other year.

  • Apple Watch would be hard to choose your configuration in a rush surely?

    • +2

Most likely no option to pick from (ie. everyone receive the same).

    • +2

Well, it would be aluminium and not eSIM.
At that price just get it and change the band later.

      I wonder how many?

      • Are they not different sizes still? I'm still rocking the 1st gen so not sure how they are these days

        • +4

There are still 2 sizes, and the RRP suggests this will be the smaller one (40mm)

            • @[Deactivated]: Sure, it isn’t exactly small. The bigger size carries means it is easier to see the info.

        • I’m also rocking the series 1 too, Wonder if series 5 also paint flake on the back of the watch like my grey aluminium s1 watch.

          • @moto: Mine still looks new but except a few small scratches. Still get notifications quickly enough. Apps run slow but it works fine for my uses. I would like to be able to swim with it though, hence looking for an upgrade.

  • Did the last one all sold out?

    • which one?

      • +11

        The last one

        • +1

The last one all sold out, I think they may be referring to the one before that didn't all sell out. I may be wrong though.

          • +1

@IridiumFlare: But I thought that one didn't and the one before that did - can anyone confirm ?

    • +1

Somebody set us up the eBay Plus

  • +5

I always wonder how normal people (non OzBargain users) even have a chance at knowing there was even a deal let alone the stuff often being sold out within minutes. Not just eBay but even some of the Amazon deals.

    • +13

Thats why there are more ebay "deals" getting downvoted theser days.

      Either:
      1. Price jacking; or
      2. Very limited quantity.

  • +1

Eh, Tab A is $215 from educational store.

    • +1

i bought one from EPP store for 215, i might return it now since i haven't opened it yet.

    • +3

For Reference from Samsung Education Store:

      $279.20 - (5% EOFY Discount) - ($50 Signup Voucher) = $215.24

    • This or the p10hd for $50 less ???

      • +1

I'd pay the $50 for warranty to be honest. You could probably recoup most of your costs selling the Samsung if you didn't like it, doubt many people are looking for the P10HD

        • Yeah I think your right, plus USB C, plus android upgrade (has or is getting Android 10, but considering how BAD samsung is on upgrades I won't hold my breath further). CPUs roughly the same, only issue is p10hd has 3GB and samsung has 2GB - boo hiss.

  • +5

Would anyone be kind to share their methods/steps in pre-loading the carts for airpod pros? Keep on missing out

  • +2

I hope there's no competition for the slow cooker, its the one thing I want and have a chance to obtain lol

    • +2

I hope there's no competition slow competition

      FTFY :)

      • I see what you did there :)

  • +5

Again this should be in the competition page not deals page.

Does Ozbargain get commission from eBay depending on how many likes these deals get?

Don't get me wrong, I managed to snag a nespresso machine previously on one of these deals but it was definitely a COMPETITION. 8 seconds later and I would not have got one.

  • +1

    Gone in 6 seconds

    • you mean 60 seconds?

  • +30

This is a shitty sales practice that needs to stop. It’s no different to any physical store advertising items they clearly don’t have enough in stock of to meet consumer demand. Not even a fraction of.

Edit: I got stuff like the cheap Samsung SSD from a previous deal, so I’m not being salty because I missed out. It’s just bad consumer practice.

    • They must have been losing too much money with those 10% or 15% site wide deals they used to have, hence no more.

    • Totally agree, just boycott the sale - thats an easy fix

      • or try and score something but miss out anyway… same net result

  • what size of apple watch 5 is it?

    • +16

      0mm - since it's unavailable

    • +3

Going by the RRP it’s the 40mm GPS only model

      • 40mm is very small. Even on my small wrist…

  • +1

    What brand is the cooker?

  • +4

So when will they give us a sitewide deal???

  • +1

Article says 900 sets of airpods. Hope this is true

  • +5

Negging as these deals are unobtainable.

  • +10

Can we ban these low quantity fake ebay lotto desguised as deals ?

  • +7

Another competition. We all know how these end. Not a bargain.

  • +10

Please move this to the competitions section, a tiny chance of getting a very rare item is not a deal.

  • Good price for the Apple Watch. In saying this, my gf owns one and the battery is an absolute joke..

  • Great price on Apple Watch, thanks OP. Fingers crossed that I will grab one :D

  • +17

Deals should be for human beings, not JAVA scripts.

  • +4

Would this limited units? What time the deal will be published?

  • +1

With phones these days having 8GB or 12GB RAM, why do tablets still only have 2GB? Is this just an android thing? Or do tablets run differently?

    • +1

Uh $199 tablets don't have 12gb of RAM either.

2gb is the bare minimum to run modern Android smoothly, but when it has a weak older chip like this more would be a waste. I think it's fine for the money.

      • Uh $199 tablets don't have 12gb of RAM either.

Were you trying to say phones there?

2gb is the bare minimum to run modern Android smoothly

Would increasing the RAM to 4gb or 8gb really double or quadruple the price for a tablet like this?
