        • didn't you say "sadly couldn't even add it to cart" thought you missed out?

  • +2

    GOT the watch!!!

Now time to put in my trophy room and feel special

  • Some transactions still seem to be failing : 1 sold at 22-Jun-20 16:05:39 AEST

  • +3

although I missed out 3 times but I am ok about it, the watch is not a must for me, and in 3 months time Series 6 will release and the watch 5 will be 400 dollars normal price anyways.

    • if you got a good credit card you can get the price different back within 1 or 2 years anyway

      • How's that work?

        • +1

credit card insurance… free if you pay it off each month

e.g. Go Mastercard if you have their insurance. there are also some other credits cards that offer different things like free extended warranty like coles rewards mastercard. the 2 year price protection is coles account cover plus but that is no longer offered

  • Messed up forgot to account for time zone changes and missed adding it to cart at the 4 pm drop. Does anyone know a way to get it in the cart ready?

Is it possible to use the checkout link from someone else or is it tied to account so will just give an error?

  • Missed out again and now I can't even get back to the checkout confirm and pay page. Gone to history but won't go back to checkout page and gives me an error :(

  • success here too.. thanks all for the tips on checkout

  • +2

Curious to know how people managed to checkout with item in cart when it keeps giving error “we noticed a problem. Please review your items”.

    • That usually means you missed out. Keep that page open and click on the button when the next drop is due to go live.

    • I had this error at 2pm - waited until 4pm drop, then used the same page to click "Confirm and Pay" (coupon was already applied).
I had a few tabs open, but it worked on the second one (after first one failed again at 4pm).

I had credit card verified and used for another item before (to avoid paypal issues when checking out).
It's still no guarantee you will get it, but it improves the odds.

If you still have the page in history, you can try opening that page now, and wait for the 6pm drop. (If you're willing to invest the time.)

I did the same and now I will be the proud owner of an Apple Watch :D. Thanks to all you folks at OzB!!

        • Congrats!

    • I had the same problem during the 4pm drop, but then clicked the "Confirm and Pay" button again and it went through !

  • +1

Slow Cooker received, but seems damaged… Contacting the seller for it now. Wish me luck for replacement parts.

    • All good, eBay guarantee will help you out if the seller don't come to the party.

    • My box is damaged and the plastic covering was ripped

      • Is your slow cooker damaged? My pressure valve is completely broken when I received (The 2 layer of boxes were both clearly previously opened as well).
I have contacted the seller, replacement seems to be sent (have gave me new tracking#, but not in AusPost System yet). They responded reasonable quickly.

  • Yew scored one :D

  • +1

Oh nvm, i didn't get it….It said my oder has been plaved, but doesn't show up in my purchase history :(

    • Yep that was the exact same problem I had - I then complained to eBay chat but they refused to do anything about this :(

      • Do you know what happened?

        • See my comment here:
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/545180?page=5#comment-8897…

So in other words, it was just the same BS explanation they gave about me being too slow . They even kept mentioning about me needing 'faster internet' - whatever the hell that means….

          They are absolutely clueless.

          • @hfszeto: Well this sucks…5 tries and still no luck.

            • @RespectMyAuthoritar: I knew I didn't have a much of chance with the 6pm one as I have lost the checkout page for it (due to clicking the Confirm and Pay too many times) and so I wasn't fast enough to get it.

Actually even if I did have it would have been a high chance that it ended up with the same situation described above.

  • Wow sold out in 19 seconds…..

  • +1

Missed again seriously 5th try and had in cart still.

    • Let's be honest though - You are not the only one doing this trick.

  • Missed out :(
    Screw eBay!

    • Down with eBay. Will avoid giving them commissions on my purchases from here on if I can find any remotely available comparables for the items I’d like to buy.

      • So far I had an absolutely horrible time with these eBay deals - the only one I've managed to score was the one for the $49 Last of Us but even then it ended up with no express shipping and didn't arrive until after the release date (it only got to me this morning).

One last chance to grab the Airpods Pro on Wednesday but otherwise I am done with eBay Plus - just sick of their BS.

  • +2

Damn got to the next screen but said your order was not successful like a few people before. Seems i cant reuse to promo code either anymore.

  • +2

finally scored one after trying from 10AM and failing for 4 times

    • Same here. Just have to be patient and not try to do all the steps in one go!!

  • Got it by after keeping it on the buy now screen when I tried at 4pm. Nice!

  • Got the watch after a few failed attempts today and many failed Airpod attempts.

  • Got one atlast

  • Got one!! Thanks all for the tips. Multiple tabs and 1 per second was very useful!

  • Scored! 5th time lucky. Had it in the cart in the app. Clicked confirm and pay at 18:00, got a message that the "Seller has updated the listing", clicked confirm and pay again and success!

  • Honestly feel like a lot of OzBers got a watch from the number of positive comments.

  • finally got apple watch at 6pm.

  • thanks, been trying all day for the apple watch and finally got one at 6-m :)

  • +3

I received Braun Thermometer today. Box is all mashed up open and item looks to be a refurbished or display item.
This is the same seller who is selling APPLE WATCH.
    IOT-HUB.
Did anyone else have this issue?

    • +1

      Lodge ebay dispute.

    • damn I will check mine and report. it will come today

    • I got mine today, the package was perfect, not smashed, the Thermometer is working fine. they did try to deliver it but I wasn't at home and collected from the post office.

    • My thermometer has deep scratch on the display. this must be reburb or something

  • A waste of time this was…

  • Feel bad for non-OzBers. Sounds like we are the majority of 100 units each hour. Keen for my watch to arrive!

  • -2

Click bait. And false advertising. The ad on tv says join eBay plus and get access to these deals. It doesn’t go on to explain that it’s basically a lottery…

    • You have access to the deals, what's the issue? That there's not enough stock for EVERYONE?

  • Good luck /s

  • +3

Even though some people got pissed off with the 900 drop, having drip feeding drops of 100 is worse. It opens it up to double dippers as they have multiple accounts. Average joes only have chances in larger drops

    • -2

they should also change the code for each drop so that it gives extra time & chances for everyone, people who have it already set with code included already have an advantage than those who have to add it to cart & do the whole process.

      • So people who bought before can have another go?

  • Just got AusPost notification that the watch is due to arrive today (I was in 10am batch).

    • I also got it at 10am and mine hasn't even been posted :(

  • what is today's deal?

  • Any one can give link for Ring Floodlight Outdoor Camera at 10am today? thank you

    • +1

Have you checked out the post link by SJ50?

    • +1

      Thanks got it.

  • is tomorrow's deal an Airpod or an Airpod Pro. The picture on the home page seems like a pro, but the details page says Airpods. Is the 300 units of airpod pro on the deal confirmed?

    • +2

Pro's according to image and info In this deal.

  • +5

Received the watch, came with a US AC plug….

    • +5

likewise.. its also a different model number to Australian stock (MWV82LL/A) vice the Aussie MWV82X/A.. anyone know if there will be any warranty issues associated with this?

      • +3

Contacted Ebay Seller.. this is reply…

        Hi,

Yes this Apple Watch is US set. For warranty you can get back to us and we will process the warranty for you. Thank you.

        Regards,
        Saifuddin

      • Does that mean you can use the workarounds to enable the ECG features?

      • +3

Can we return it? They didn't mention its overseas stock, I want Australian stock with warranty

        • eBay plus so free returns.. sounds like a valid reason. Not sure on ECG. will report back, suspect no

        • +1

The model number on the listing looks to be the same as the one supplied. eBay Plus allows returns for any reason as long as the product is returned in the same condition I believe.

          • @Poppin: If you open already, probably hard to return it under change of mind returns. But if it doesn't match the description, that would be not as described returns.

            • @cloudie9: The issue they will face is that it does match the description since the model number on the listing matched the product.

I agree the listing is vague and doesn't highlight the model number and the fact it's different to the local model.

              • @Poppin: I probably won't risk it and return it under change of mind policy. Besides, as an eBay Plus member and a Plus listing, returns are free under the scheme.

        • Did any manage to return the opened watch?

    • +1

      Same…

    • +1

Was there an AU adaptor at all?

      • +1

None. I can’t decide if I want to keep it.

        • What did u decide. I'm tempted to do free return. Especially if box is damaged. Can't believe they didn't even put in an AU adaptor.thats just lazy

          • @julz15: Still undecided. I have plenty of adapters at home so that really isn't a problem for me. I just wanted AU stock.

        • I have an overseas model Apple Watch.
          Problems/inconveniences are:-
Replacing AC to USB charger, or using a multi-port USB charger.
          Re-sale value reduced.
Only a 12 months Apple Warranty.
No Australian Consumer Guarantee (up to 3 years?)

    • +2

Wow what the.. Are they even allowed to that. So deceiving to be promoting import stock on the eBay Plus deal.

  • +5

    US version! shame on Ebay

    • Having another look at the listing it does list the LL model. Guess no one looked that closely in the rush.

  • +1

What is the downside of US Version for the apple watch? Its still protected under Australian consumer law if sold in Australia? And since these were GPS only, the performance should be exactly the same shouldn't it?
The only (small) downside is we need to use an adapter. Let me know if I am missing something.

    • Called apple and confirmed, should be no issues with GPS only.

    • +1

The Apple warranty will be less I think.

      • Can we get full 2 years warranty from Apple Australia?

        • +1

Not with overseas stock, but damn, not sure if I want to keep it or not…
