        It still shows at checkout, no guarantee but it's worth a try if you will use the gift cards anyway. Users might not get bonus points before the promo is ended.

          Is it right to say, you went through cash rewards or shop back, got the 5% off, and are testing if you get awarded the 3000 bonus points by adding your woolworths rewards card in the next page?

          But by not clicking on the buy now button, you might not get the 3000 bonus points?

            @bluedufflecoat: That's right, however I clicked the 'buy now' button first, then went through Cashrewards or Shopback to get the 5% off, the 3000 bonus points promo banner was still at checkout but yeah can't say for sure it will work.

              @hamza23: How did you do that? I can't replicate what you said. I clicked on Buy Now link in the email, then add the giftcard to cart, then go to CR/SB to click on the WW GC link, then now the Promo banner is replaced by CR/SB banner.

                @samehada: Hmm yeah I see what you mean, that wasn't like that earlier today. When I went back to the 'buy now' link, there was no such CR/SB banner like there is now, still the Earn 1000 Bonus Points / Earn 3000 Bonus points was there and you could proceed to purchase with the 5% discount since you were logged in.

                There's also no place to put your rewards card at the checkout like there was.

                They must have fixed/changed it.

          5.66% to be exact, as you are getting extra money to spend rather than saving it.

          Also note 1,000 points is worthless unless you have or will earn 1,000 points.

          Hence CR deal is better.

            You can get 3000WW points($15) when you buy $250 GC.
            These points are worth of $14.25 ($15-5% if you normally use discounted GC)

            You will buy $264.25GC for $250 cash. It means 5.39% off. (1-250/264.25)*100

      Correct, but that 6% can be substituted by discounted e-gift cards.

      The discount in points (if the purpose is for discount on groceries) is normally better as cash (if you were given a choice of 2000 pts/$10 woolies dollars or $10 discount)

      I.e. 3000 pts is worth $15 of woolies dollars.
      But if you were to purchase this at the public rate of 5% (6% through private suppliers), that $15 is worth $14.25 cash

      So effectively it's $265 worth of spend ($250 e-gift, $15 woollies points) for $250 cash, or $250/$265, i.e. 94.34%, or 5.66% off

      All up, if you can't double dip with this, then the $100 for $5 woolies dollars is trash, but $250 for $15 woolies dollars is more appealing.. barely

    I clicked the Buy Now button, and it redirected to the same page with the cashrewards link, added the gift card, and the cashrewards discount is automatically applied before payment.

    Also, if it is stack-able, it said spend $250 to earn 3000 points, so you might want to purchase at least $264 gift cards(?)

    Is the promotion on buying physical gift cards (as they may not be as popular as egift cards)? or Woolies seem to be testing the waters in the egift card market by offering option to customers to buy direct - and giving back part of the commission (they pay to CR and SP) once only to customers?

    What I did was copy the link address from the email, open CR/SB gift card link, load it, then paste the copied link into the address bar. At the cart, 5% off was applied successfully and in the checkout, I was able to insert my WW Rewards Card number and maintain the 5% off.
    Hopefully the points come through.

        Did not double dip on the 2 July purchase. I double dipped on another account purchased 25 June but have not received the 3000 points. I guess I must have done something wrong. So just got 5% rather than 6%. It was worth a try. Since it did not work the second time I did not try it.

    I had double dipped but did not receive my bonus points. But emailed wooly customer care with screenshot of purchase and they have added the bonus points to my account… Yayyy..

    Worth a try for people who didnt receive the points.
