Kingston A2000 1TB 2200MB/s 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD - $178.00 + Shipping @ Shopping Express

200

A good deal for anyone after a 1TB NVMe SSD. I've been following these for the last two months, Crucial P1 1TB M.2 NVMe was available for $169 but there was no other recent deal.

It has pretty decent reviews:

Shipping to Sydney metro area is $10.20.

I don't think you have been following close enough

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/540524

    • IIRC the deal was active for less than 30 minutes so most people missed out (yes, including me).

        • +2

          Dont be angry!

It wasn't a deal it was a wrong price listing lmao and chill out were all just trying to score a bargain here no need to be mad bro

    • even at that price I wouldn't touch P1.
+: great size; yeah cheap; NVMe speeds
-: it's QLC; as a consequence it gets slower and slower as you fill it; also lower endurance

so while it's nice to have space and speed, it doesn't seem like you get both with P1. you fill it up, the speed goes down. so why bother?

178 for an A200 is an excellent price. It performs better than the P1 and 660P

  • Anyone know if this is flat on one side? I got caught out on the Crucial MX500 1TB m.2 which was supposed to be single sided but found out it has circuitry on both sides and doesn't fit in my ultrabook.

  • Is this QLC like the Crucial P1?

    • +1

      No, TLC

  • that's a good price! got mine for $220 few weeks ago

    • I paid 200 pre covid.

  • This compared to the SN750 is it worth waiting for a price drop I need this for music production purposes will I notice that 1000MBs difference? Appreciate any help

    • This is a good price for 1TB at this spec. Bought for $200 pre covid.

    • +1

No you wouldn’t notice any difference.

  • Purchased anyway almost on par with the 870 evo and better than the samsung pro, p1 and 660p and many more for this price now that is a Deal

Same price at Centrecom with shipping: https://www.centrecom.com.au/kingston-1tb-a2000-sa2000m81000…

    (well OK, 80c more…)

  • This? Or the WD SN550 Blue digital nvme? About the same price now for the 1tb

    • +1

SN550 is so much better than this if you use Windows (SN550 doesn't have a dedicated cache, and relies on OS) as it has far better sustained writes.

  • Heads up that the price just dropped again to $169 @shopping express
