  • Please said 12 months minimum contract and minimum total cost 190

    • Agreed.

Also: In what sense is this "unlimited" ???

      • +2

it means you can make as many calls as you want for as long as you want and they will never charge you extra for it, and if they do, you can take it up with the TIO….

ACCC have already cracked down on Optus for advertising 'unlimited' when it wasn't really unlimited.
        http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/972768/fro…

  • Looks good…though what happened to those better (more data) mobile internet deals?
    Still on the way?

    • yes still currently under development, but will be available shortly

      • looks good but 4.30pm cutoff means no time to discuss with wife so no deal

        • call ur wife now, still got time to call ur wife

        • -2

Seems that the wifie runs the show, so why are you worrying anyway?

          LOL :-D

  • +2

Love this one. Rep has finally posted T&C's!

Rep, does unlimited really mean unlimited? Can I make a few hours of calls per day?

    • Yes free local national calls and mobile calls for as many hours a day as you want!

  • This looks pretty damn tempting. Guessing I have to call to sign up since I can't find it on their site.

    • It is on the special offers page on the website, or you can click the picture on the top right of this page which will take you directly to the deal

      • Oh, I found the deal but couldn't find a signup link is what I meant. Still too early for me to type properly. :)

        • +1

fair enough, there is no link to sign up for it online as this deal is just for today.
If you like you could provide your contact details via email and we can give you a ring

  • -3

mms is 90c not included. $10 sim and 2% visa/mastercard charge and cancellation fee of $99 even though you have to pay for the 12 months anyway thats steep.

    • +2

not valid for neg vote, as op already mentioned what are included on the plan. if op doesn't mentioned it, and you got that charge, that valid argument.

    • care to provide a better deal <insert appropriate cuss here>

  • How about accessing to Social Networks like Facebook, Google+? Are they free to access? Otherwise 500MB is not good enough…

    • "BONUS BUNDLE

1GB Wireless Broadband = FREE EVERY MONTH"
Not sure if that's a total or in addition to the first 500MB

      • The 500 MB is on the unlimited mobile sim
The 1 GB free boradband is a free bonus

Makes it a total of 1.5GB per month in total

        • +4

          1 GB free boradband

is boradband simiar to boratband ???

        • +1

          a friend of borat

        • +3

          Hai faive!

        • +2

Being on Vodafone its more like Boredband

  • ohh i hope they can make it non-plan. (ie. month by month)
    that would be fantastic

  • Can I port my number from Optus (Prepaid)?

    • yes definitly can

  • What happens after the 12mths?… will this $15 per month keep going until you cancel.. or will it revert back to another plan?

is there a fair go policy at all with this?…

What about Video calls?… would they be included?

    • +1

$15 per month for 12 months, after the 12 months you can renew your contract for the same exact deal. Once contract is terminated by customer or Sure Telecom this offer will not be valid for the customer again.

There is no fair go policy

No unfortunately for this low price we are unable to include video calls, however it can be used but the standard charges will apply

      • will that include the mobile broadband deal?… if 12mths has elpased?

so just confirming… there are NO limits of Mins to the phone calls made to Australian Mobiles/Home Phones per month?

        • +1

yes, the mobile broadband deal is a bundle that comes along with the sim, upon cancellation of the sim you will be cancelling the broadband sim aswell.

Thats correct no limit of mins to Mobiles and Landlines within Australia

  • whats the rate for international SMS? Thanks

    • 20 cents per international SMS

  • What is the rate for international SMS as its not included in the bundle? Can someone advise if 500MB will be enough considering data is charged in 1 MB increments

    • 20 cents per international SMS

you get 500 MB of internet on your mobile sim

1GB for free bonus broadband wireless internet.

This plan is mainly for people who make a lot of calls on their mobiles. 500 MB is just an add on so there is the option to browse through your phone

  • Is it on Vodafone 2G network only or not? What's the cost of making 1300… and 1800 calls etc?

  • +1

Sorry the 13.. 18.. question is already answered in the T&C.

    • -6

Too important to hide in the fine print. Totally negates the "unlimited" claim.

Have they not just announced the 13/18 scams will be banned? The telecos will keep milking it so long as possible.
And 12 month contract SIM only? That sort of thing was stopped years ago by the competition authority, yet it comes back.
Cancellation fees are only supposed to cover actual costs.

      • it is not hide, if op didn't post the t&c as previous post $1 for 1GB, then you neg is valid argument, because op has hide the t&c. in this case, the op has posted the t&c, so it is not hidden anymore. if op have to post all the thing on the subject, that stupid marketing campaign, it doesn't have wow factor and eye catching for their customer.

        • -2

The neg is for false claim of umlimited in bold heading. The ACCC thinks this is wrong too.
          There are alternatives.

        • +1

until proved by ACCC misleading, you can't judge this is misleading. you should lodge your complaint first to ACCC, let ACCC asses your claim, if they found guilty, yes you are entitle with valid argument.

the fact is the OP highlight the main features of unlimited on their products, it doesn't put the main featuress on the fine print what is included or not.

        • +1

@joannatan "until proved by ACCC misleading, you can't judge this is misleading."

          no this bit is true…

"Cancellation fees are only supposed to cover actual costs."

it is illegal to charge cancellation fees exceeding costs… Can't see how the SIMS are worth $99 ???

        • +1

"Cancellation fees are only supposed to cover actual costs."

correct, because the cost is not related with sim card only, also the cost of the company sign the contract to vodafone as well. they are buying wholesale item that resell the item to the retail.

it doesn't said the cost $99 is to cover the sim card cost, it is your assumption this $99 related with the sim card.

mate i am not defending the op, but when we have argument, can we have a logic argument please!!!!!

  • I am in parramatta, Can I come & pick up my sim and get the special deal?
    can you provide address?

    • All sims are sent out directly from dispatch, thus it cannot be collected from the office

  • +1

    Wait just re-read:
So you send TWO SIMS? One for the phone deal (unlimited calls + 500MB) and another to put in a USB dongle with 1GB per month?
    Am I reading that correctly?
At first I thought you meant the 1GB bonus was on top of the 500MB with the phone deal (I.E. one SIM)

    • I have called them up, they said yes we getting two sim cards.
Also, they can't offer any pickups as the parramatta is the main office but back office is somewhere else.

      • can you save the $10 delivery fee by pick up these sim cards?

        • -1

have u ever buy item from ebay, they said you can pick up the item, but you still have to pay admin fee for pick up. so i just want get some confirmation from the OP if free delivery if we pick up from their store, as OP only said yes you can pick up, but it doesn't said if there is any cost associate when you pick up from their store.

        • -1

reading the new post from op, the answer is no pick up

          replyvotesreport

  • now thats an interesting comment…. what will happen when the goverment phases out the charge to 1800 numbers?.. how will that effect this contract?…

will this be suretelecoms way of cancelling the contract ?

    • they just need to amend their t&c not cancelling the contract, so it is depend on customer, if customer not happy with the new contract, then customer have the option to cancel their contract

  • Wow $15/month for unlimited free calls is a great offer.
Would I get charged extra if I diverted this sim to another mobile number?

    • There will be charges to do that

  • Had Vodafone lifted their game in respects to Vodafail??

    • people only care about cost mate

      • That's what Vodafone did and look what happened to them. :)

    • +1

I have all my services with VF and never had a problem.

      • +1

Me too, never a problem…… yet! God it is hard to type with all your fingers crossed.

  • Spoke to Sure Telecom, was advised that if I was to call someone's number and was put through to their voicemail that this call would be changed…. Does that sound right?

    • nope, you should question more, why you should charge leave message on voice mail.

      • Oh, I questioned, but the guy was stating that the phone system receives a signal that indicates the call isn't connecting as such, and so that call to VM is charged.

      • I also called them: here is what they told.

1: If you check (hear)your voice message then and then only you will charge.

2: No extra cost for leaving voice messages in other's box :)

3: to my surprise, they are not giving exact address like where they are located.

4: If we are not satisfy with network (mind you its vodafone), we cant break contract. They will try to solve problem by engaging ourselves with customer care - technician.

5: This offer is just for today and they said, they come with one offer every week.

        • Points 1 and 2 are exactly what one would expect.

Point 3, well, I doubt I'll need to pay them a visit.

Point 4, fair enough, it's advertised to be via Vodafone, I'm with Vodafone already and I too have not had any issues in the last 12 months.

  • +2

It's a pretty good offer particularly for people who call a lot. $190 for a year of unlimited calling (excluding 13/18/1800) is very good, but I'm hesitant to up vote it cause something seems dodgy. Not willing to say where they're located? Hmm..

    • The location of our company is mentioned on our website and will be mentioned on every statement for customers when they receive them. There was no point in giving out the address as the above person wanted to go make the payment at the office, there is no way for us to do that from the office. The sims are sent out directly from our dispatch which is located in another area.

    • -1

I really cannot recommend this company.

The website is a mess and does not contain any Standard Form of Agreement documents as required by law.

Concerns have previously been expressed about this company.

  • Well, called to sign up and was told the person able to help me was unavailable so I left my number for a call back. Fingers crossed I'll get it.

    • Due to the number of calls being received for sign ups for this particular deal there is a delay in us calling back, please provide your details if you have not already received a call back. We apologize for the delay

      • I understand. I sent you a PM through the site. :)

  • @SURE

I think the 1GB extra SIM is little hard for people to find a use for. I mean what separate device is going to use that? It nowhere near enough for regular net use… maybe as a kind of back up.
If you can go ahead soon with those proposed deals on just mobile internet, I think there a bit of a gap in the market at the moment.

So a staggered range of deals, say 10GB, 30GB, 50GB mobile broadband, at prices as sharp as the 4GB $4 deal and I think you'd have a real winner.

  • Good price, but holy crap…. 50c / mb excess data that works out at $500 /gb, I'd hate to go over the 500mb!

    • Yeah, imagine if you used shock/horror an extra Gig.

It would be the same as being forced to send the company a shiny new laptop as "punishment".
We all seem to accept these prices as excess data charges as if it were normal or reasonable in some way. They are not.
Its the same with all the Telcos but that doesnt mean its not 100% pure standover tactics and we are all suckers for putting up with it.

  • Would there be extra charges… if I used the 500mb for using my phone as a Modem (Tethering)

  • @ Kierand & bonky, this deal is perfect for making lots of free calls. Don't bother using Data with this sim.
I'll be using this sim in my old phone just for making calls & sending SMS.

    • true…. but… still like to know what is what 8))

    • Fair call - still annoying that telco's seem to think it's OK to charge over the odds when it comes to excess data.

  • Does anyone know if the 1gb bonus is chaged at uploading and downloading?… or just downloading

    • For mobile internet they always charge for both Down & Up loads.

  • Can u disable 13/15/1800 numbers?

    • No, because this is where the $15 will quickly turn into $150.

      Welcome to your new nightmare.

        • Mee too… I've just signed up!! wooohooo

        • I agree!! Just signed up too!

        • Called back and got through straight away, signed up. All good :D

        • hate to break the flow, but didn't sign up :(

  • what are your international rates?

  • I agree this is the cheapest you can find in the market, signed up. All Good :)

  • lets hope vodafone comes to the party aswell…. but looking at their site… they are spending the money to upgrade the coverage…

  • I used Lebara sim card b4 (Voda network), most of the times I can't make any phone calls at all.
The last sim card has still got over $7 credit unused when it expired.

    • This certainly is the worry with the Vodafone network. Despite the upgrade, and even in upgraded areas, the network appears to remain very broken.

  • I must be one of the lucky ones then, because I haven't had any probs with Voda.

    • What kinda phone you got ?

  • Anyone got their sim card yet? I have registered for plan but no communication yet from their side.

    • Please allow 7 days for dispatch, majority of customers have recieved and activated their services.

  • I ordered on 12th, and still haven't received my sim card.
Worried someone else is using my sim card.

    • Your sim card is sent out inactive, there is no need to worry about someone else using your sim as you have to ring us and activate your sim card giving us your details like account number etc to activate.
Due to the vast amount of sign up's to this particular deal, there was a delay. As of yesterday sims were sent out to all customers who signed up so please bare with us and you will receive your sim's shortly.

  • Got my simcard and started using this…. thanks for posting!!

  • I'm still waiting for mine.

    • Me too. :(

      • All sims have been sent, every customer who signed up has received their sims if there are any issues please give us a call and we will be happy to sort them out
