  • beats boost $150 1 year plan in my opinion, too bad i just activated the boost service… oh well

    • Certainly beats Boost if you consider first 6 months only.
Effectively $80 for 125GB, 6 month-expiry. Wow. I think this has been the lowest ever price for 20GB+ per month.

The previous best deal I had was for Lebara Large 180-day plan for $99, giving 20GB each month with Data Rollver, so 120GB for $99.

      • Etel had a special on last month which was 25GB for $18 Per Month. So how is this a good deal?

        • +3

          ($80 / 6) = $ 13.33 per month, with (125 / 6) = 20.83GB per month.
          Better, in my opinion.

          • +1

            @djoz: But 5GB less.

Circles Life has 100GB for $28 which is expiring on the 8th of July, and its month to month…. Just like the Etel one.

            • +1

              @MR-AM: Correction: 4.17GB less.
It's about the price point. The lower you pay, the data allowance will reduce drastically, but nowhere would you get 20.83GB for $13.33 per month.

Also, note that this amaysim plan comes with Unlimited International Talk & Text to 28 countries. Etel and Circles.Life both do not provide these.

Agreed, it may be about each's individual requirements, but a rational comparison tends to indicate that at this price point, considering first 6 months only, nothing beats this deal.

    • The Optus network is not so good where I am so instead of the boost $150 for 80gb 365days I went with Woolies Mobile $150 84gb 365days as it's on the Telstra Network as well but you also get 10% off one shop per month (up to $50) for the 12 months so I get 4gb extra and I can also make the $150 back in discounted shopping over the year. Something to consider.

      • Yes, just that the Woolies deal doesnt include International Calls to 25 countries like Boost.

        • That's true. If you make international calls than Boost is definitely better, if not then Woolies mobile is the front runner.

          • @ddammitt: Agree. Also, both Optus and Catch Connect are running $150 with 120GB for 365 days if International Calls is not your need.

With Optus, you would get better support as well as several other Optus Perks / rewards. Data allowance is also a tad higher.

            • @djoz: I don’t think woolies is in the front, as boost also gives free AFL nrl etc streaming and google calls.

              • @fozzie: Free Apple Music Streaming too.

                • @djoz: Yes that’s right. I wish they also did free google music streaming.

          • @ddammitt: My understanding is that Woolies and Aldi networks while having access to the Telstra network don't have complete access to the entire network.

Boost has the best coverage map for 4G.

Telstra (direct) customers get the best coverage and the 4GX/5G access..

Has any of that changed ?

            • @jason andrade: Woolies and Aldi have Telstra Wholesale
Boost has Telstra Retail. Essentially, Boost is the same as Telstra, excluding the in-person and dedicated support that you get from Telstra as an Operator.

You can use Telstra Air (WiFi) with Boost as well.

  • OP, I am with Amaysim already on $10 plan. Can I benefit from this deal? Will I get the cash back?

    • +3

Cashback is eligible only on a new service (SIM) which is activated within 30 days of purchase.

  • Any idea on expiry?

    • +1

Click the link and you'll see.

  • Pretty good… But still to expensive for me

  • And idea when this promotion expire?

      Expires: Jul 11, 2020, 11:59:00 PM

Under "amaysim Mobile Offers & Coupons" on this page

      • It's saying midnight tonight at the bottom of the page for this particular offer.

  • How long do you have to activate the sim?

  • Can I port a number to this new service

    • Yup, a new activation includes porting your existing number as well.

  • just ordered and cashreward's email about tracking my order was basically instant.

  • Still looking for a low cost 365 day expiry service.. where you don't need much data.

I'm tempted by the Aldi $5 sim as I think that has 100M..

If this had been for 365 day expiry I would likely have bought it - even if i never actually used that much data at all.

    • Take Catch Connect $120 plan, 365 days and 60GB data. I guess lowest ever price for a 1 year validity.

  • Two days later still haven't received the tracking email

    • Same here, im still waiting. Its been my 4th day now

  • What suggestion or rotation of sim do you practice?
If you only budget around $5/month

    amaysim —> catch —> amaysim
    amaysim - catch —> kogan ?

of days to port from what I canremember:

Kogan - 20 days to recharge (why i prefer not to use kogan / short period to port out)
    amaysim - 1 yr
    catch - 90 days

    • +1

Every month, with whatever SIM is available in my stock. VF, Woolworths, catch, amaysim, optus, Kogan etc. Mostly free, some months >$5, sometimes profit .Win,Win

  • +2

$40 cashback is over. Now only $30

  • Did anyone receive extra data at no additional cost ?!
