Pick up from our store in Altona north

    Can't.

We've been told to stay at home.

      I’m an essential service

      We have postage available

      • -4

I don't see how phone repair is an essential service….

            @247phonerepair:

How will people work without phones laptops and tablets

This is a game console. That is not essential and not worth people dying.

          • +2

@247phonerepair: Downvoted for the previous comment, upvoted for this?

        • +9

Honestly, pretty sure phone repair is an essential service. People can't live without phones nowadays, and that's a fact.

But I question why they have Switch Lites for sale. I doubt they are authorized to sell. I'm guessing they bought bulk at low price, and then sell?

          • -3

@Ameowzon: Another example of people looking to profit from COVID19. People are desperate for entertainment at home, why not make some money from selling Switches

          • +4

@Ameowzon: So tech is not allowed to sell consoles

            • @247phonerepair: You're a phone repair shop, would you normally sell consoles? And are you authorised to sell them?

        • +2

            Do it the old way.

I remember browsing OzBargain with carrier pigeons…

Didn't Scomo say that jigsaw puzzles were essential items?
          https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-04-01/jigsaw-puzzles-are-ta…
Surely game console is in the same category…

  • Good price but considering the current circumstances, I would be more willing to stay at home and play my switch. :)

  • +11

Warning. It doesn't say anywhere that they are new, only that they are sealed. They could be refurbished and resealed since the company specialises in phone repairs.

Wait for OP to confirm if brand new.

    • +5

Also wait for OP to confirm they are authorised to sell them. May have issues with warranty claims otherwise

      • +1

Don’t have to be authorised to sell
It’s the same with iPhone Samsung and all other brands

        Device includes full warranty

    • Nintendo console boxes usually are not sealed. Not sure if that has changed now.

Where is lester drive in Altona?

    • It’s Altona north

      • It's not on Google maps…

        • It’s a new address
          Waiting for google

  • +2

Sorry for the neg OP, but I find your post intentionally misleading and deceptive. You say they are ‘sealed’, but you do not mention anywhere of it’s actually condition i.e refurbished or repaired.

    • -3

Or whether they are actually authorised to sell them

      • +3

Don’t have to be authorised to sell
It’s the same with iPhone Samsung and all other brands

        Device includes full warranty

    • +1

      Updated

    • They're definitely not sealed. Look at the photo in the deal, they are creased consistent with opening and closing the box a number of times.

      • I use to work at JB and have friends at EB games, Nintendo switch both normal and light have never been sealed.

        • +1

Right, but the box also doesn't look dog eared out of the factory.

          • @[Deactivated]: Didn't look at the photos and was agreeing with you anyways lol. Unfortunately, even the jb stock we got were a bit worn but not like that so yeah I still agree with you

  • +13

    Sounds so dodgy.

    • What’s dodgy

  • I'm surprised the Mod still hasn't removed this post.

    • +1

      What’s the problem

  • Address appears fake.

Business appears to be in Truganina which is a virus hotspot area
    https://abr.business.gov.au/ABN/View?abn=28991317576

Business changed names from 247 PHONE REPAIRS to Altona Phone Repairs in May this year.

  • +4

All items are new and sealed
We are allowed to sell all electronics in our store
You don’t authorisation to sell electronics

    • +1

So they come with full 12 months warranty?

      • +2

        Yes

    • +2

You should state that in the title, but to me it sounded like repaired items.

And yes, does it come with 12months manufacture warranty?

      • Just updated

    • +5

I think the question being asked is are you an authorised distributor of Nintendo devices?

This can have an impact of there is an issue and a warranty claim is required, as often warranty does not transfer with a private sale

      • +1

Don’t have to be authorised to sell
It’s the same with iPhone Samsung and all other brands

        Device includes full warranty

    • +1

You don’t authorisation to sell electronics

Are you an authorised distributor of Nintendo products? You still haven't answered my question.

      • +1

Don’t have to be authorised to sell
It’s the same with iPhone Samsung and all other brands

        • +5

          It’s the same with iPhone

Actually without being an Authorised Apple Provider/Reseller you cannot say your products are new and the warranty cannot transfer between them. You can say "sealed, unopened, unused" but not new without the authorisation.
It's legal to sell without the authorisation as long as you avoid certain points. Almost all of these same points you have avoided.

We are asking a simple question - are you authorised to call these "new" devices with a full 12 month warranty by Nintendo or are you providing your own "warranty"?

          • +2

@pennypincher98: These have 100% been purchased for low prices elsewhere and are being onsold to consumers at higher prices.

Since OP doesn't seem to be authorised by Nintendo to sell these, buyers may have issues with warranty.

  • +7

Sounds sketchy, not worth the risk. Just get it delivered from somewhere else.

Why hide information from a consumer that will help sell your product?

    • +2

      What am I hiding
      I’ve answered everyone

      • +2

I suggest you look at how other associated/employee reps have acted on Ozbargain and then adjust yourself accordingly.

  • +5

For those wondering, Nintendo list where to buy their consoles from

    https://www.nintendo.com.au/nintendo-switch/

EB, JB, Big W, Amazon, Catch, Target, Gamersmen and Harvey Norman

  • +4

I’d rather pay $290 delivered from a reputable company with no warranty issues i.e The Gamersmen. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/549188

    • -5

What’s the problem with my ad

      • +2

That's the whole entire problem. You're treating it as an advertisement not as a deal.

        • So $260 is not a deal

          • +4

@247phonerepair: Did you even read what I said?
Whether or not it is a deal is irrelevant.
This isn't a place to advertise - be upfront with people rather than making people ask for every small detail and deliberately avoiding the questions asked with the things you want to answer.

      • +1

Well for a start you only have 10 in stock. There's a place in the forums for low quantity deals, and that place isn't the front page.

        • So $260 is not a deal

          • +1

@247phonerepair: Not for only 10. Low quantity deals go here.

But it seems you haven't learnt from your last several downvoted into oblivion or removed by moderators posts.

          • @247phonerepair: Punctuation might help here. Makes it look like you're admitting it's not a deal.

      • +1

The valid concern is the source of your stock, whether it is grey market, imported, etc. Is the supplier warranty valid from Nintendo? Or do people have to through you? Is this an Australian unit?

        • I’ve updated all details

  • +1

once again, this seller has mistaken OzB for fleabay

  • +4

Stop being a prick and answer the decking question OP. Are they new or refurbished. You sound like a shit politician right now trying to dodge people's questions and avoiding the topic when people voice genuine concern.

I'm in NSW and have no interest in your product but I find it unprofessional and deceptive when you won't answer straightforward questions.

    • All details are in the description

      • You still haven't confirmed whether you are an authorized distributor for Nintendo products. Stop dodging the bloody question

      • +2

Looking at the photos you provided in your post, those are definitely not sealed. The boxes have crease marks consistent with repeated opening and closing. What channel did you buy them through?

        • They are new

          • @247phonerepair: That's not an answer to the question.

    • +1

      "I have updated the ad"
Edit: beaten but wow this is hilarious 😂

Mods can we move this to the entertainment category?

  • I think we had this conversation re OP some time ago whith the Samsung phones on OPs first post.
OP was the wheelchair person who was bashed and robbed while some pond scum faked pick up off goods …mod checked him out in the usual OZ ASIO way and gave thumbs up ….also confirmation was attained by a seven thirty report (re bashing).
This is from my flawed memory and sorry if I got the wrong person…please correct me if I'm wrong……who am I kidding …this is OZbargings I'll just wait for the killer drones….lol
OP can you confirm your the same person….?

    • +2

      I’m the same person

    • I want to know more about this ^^^^.

  • OP, you still have not confirmed that you are an authorized distributor of Nintendo products. Even if you aren't, why can't you include this in your deal description?

  • +7

OP - the legitimacy of being an authorised dealer is important for warranty purposes. Nothing is stopping you selling the product, correct, but the issue of warranty then gets transferred to the buyer if you are not authorised. That is, the buyer may not be able to claim the warranty if things go wrong.

Eg. your items could easily be stolen goods and your misdirection on the issue of your authorisation doesn't help.

If you're not authorised or licenced to sell nintendo goods, then just let the buyers know so they know what risk they're taking.

  • -1

THANKS FOR LETTING VICTORIA GO FROM 200 CASES A DAY TO 2000. THIS IS NOT ESSENTIAL AND NOT WORTH PEOPLE DYING FOR!!!

    • Postage is available. Also people's sanity is very important while locked up so why not enjoy a console!

  • +2

If OP is not authorised distributor, better off selling those 10 consoles via Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree.
$260 for a Switch lite seems like a bargain compared to prices you see posted on those sites.

  • +1

Not sure if this has been mentioned but:

    -the Product if it was not supplied by Nintendo in either Australia or New Zealand;

    -the Product if it has been resold, or used for rental or commercial purposes;

    Taken from Nintendo’s warranty exclusions

I’m not sure you can provide a guarantee based off your responses here On the advertised 12 month warranty ?

  • -1

Seller has questionable business details - physical store details are in a “new estate”.
Seller is encouraging pick up despite imminent lock down.
Seller won’t answer questions regarding being an authorised retailer - as such there is probably no warranty provided.
Sellers photos do not display what is promised of an unopened box - clearly boxes have been tampered with.
Not enough stock to warrant a deal - 10 or less in stock.

This “ad” for a tampered with product and no warranty should be in the forums or on Gumtree and not ozbargain.

This excludes the fact that the OP is answering questions like an entitled twat!

    • -1

      I have answered everyone

      All boxes are new

Minimum stock has to be 10

I’ve stated I don’t have to be an authorised reseller to sell

      Warranty is provided

      • +1

Sorry but IMO you shouldn’t encourage or even offer pickup because of the new COVID rules that only essential services are to remain in operation, IMO phone repair shops aren’t essential. You should put only postage in your listing. Nintendo states you have to be an authorised reseller in order to get full warranty as kdw26488 has stated

        • +1

Warranty is refund or replacement and that’s what I’m offering

From tomorrow it will be delivery

          • +2

@247phonerepair: And how are buyers supposed to know you will actually honor the warranty? You still haven't answered whether you are an authorized distributor for Nintendo products. Why are you dodging that one question when you claim to be a authorized seller. Seems very dodgy to me

            • +1

@Omk4r123: How do I Sell and give warranty iPhone And Samsung
I don’t have to be an authorised seller

              • +2

@247phonerepair: Kdw26488 has mentioned above that Nintendo doesn't honor warranty for resold products. How are you going to offer warranty then? Stop acting so arrogantly and list all the information in the deal description itself, not in the comments.

                • +1

@Omk4r123: So when you get a device from another store do you sent it back to the store or Nintendo
