screen player's field of view, especially in RTS and FPS games, the field of vision is extremely wide.

  • Ultra clear image with clear details. 3440×1440 ultra-clear resolution, every corner of the scene can
be realistic and delicate, and the game world is spectacular and exquisite.

  • High brightness, high contrast, and vivid picture quality. The display brightness is up to 300 nits,
with a high contrast ratio of 3000:1, the game screen is from bright white to deep black, clear and
    beautiful, vivid and vivid.

  • 1500R large curvature surrounded visual field, gives you an immersive experience. The 1500R's
extremely large curvature design, the line of sight is surrounded by the screen, showing a
panoramic view of the overall immersion; the curved screen has a smaller visual tilt angle, and
the eyes are almost equidistant, reducing visual distortion, fully restore the true Horizons of each corner.

  • 144Hz high refresh rate, fast responses, every action is faster. 144Hz high refresh rate, 4ms response

response are more likely to lock the target and hit the enemy with precisions.

  • AMD Free-Sync, the picture is smooth, not stuck, not tearing. AMD Free-Sync technology can
consistently match the screen display at high frame rate input, reducing problems such as stucking
or tearing during game play, improving visual fluency and greatly enhancing player competitiveness.

    Me like :)

  • +1

Sounds like a great deal. Just PMed you via Facebook Messenger 8:32pm.

Edit: Was going to buy until I realised its Peak brightness was 300cd/m2…

    • +3

300 is heaps though. I have a 27GL850 and use it with the brightness set to 19%. It hurts at 100%

      • +8

Why do you set your brightness to a prime number % ??????

        • +2

          If it helps: 0.19x350=66.5

          • +7

@drew442: All good. Bought 2 for Me and myself

    • also agree 300 is heaps..lol i also have gl850 the brightness hurts your eyes ..

      • why are ppl complaining 250 on acer swift 3 as dim and dull

        • Dull would probably be due to the lack of support for showing a lesser amount of colours than the competition.

Another big seller was the Lenovo Flex 5 14 which had the same screen but was forgiven due to its touch screen and free pen bundled with it.

    Anyone rocking this monitor?

Is there any ghosting on the panel when set to 144hz? Quite a common issue on a lot of cheaper VA panels and some of the older ones like Acer z35

    • +10

I've got this and the gl850, this is noticeably worse, this is what I had wrote on the previous deal:

For anyone wondering on performance, i've got both this monitor and the 27GL850 and would say that it is quite easy to notice the better performance of the lg.

      About the Xiaomi:
      * text scrolling noticibly worse
      * white text scrolling on black backgrounds becomes very faded
      * If running alongside another monitor, this monitors edge isnt straight so there is a gap between the other monitor.
      * Very noticble ghosting (couldnt notice any with lg)

When playing rocket league performance difference personally doesnt matter compared to the increased aspect ratio, fps games however you would want to go for something like the x34p.

      • +1

        Thanks, you’ve just saved me $600 :)

      • +2

You are comparing between IPS and VA. Also this cost much less than either of them.

        • +8

Would you rather buy something cheap and be disappointed or know what your in for?

          • +3

@JGatto: If you are buying a VA then of course you are prepared for worse ghosting than IPS.

I have the X34P and recently bought the 32" CJG54… Yes there is ghosting and yes it fades when you drag a window and move around but it really isn't that bad.

            • +8

@davidl820: Just letting people know what the differences are, had I have known before I bought it I wouldn't have bought it.

              • @JGatto: is VA ghosting worse than IPS glow and wash out blacks on IPS screen?

                • @pinkybrain: For me va ghosting is much worse.

                  • @JGatto: is the ghosting look something like this?

                    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaAQncTc7B8

                    how does it affect gameplay?

also how does it affect day to day windows usage?

that is a shame about this monitor
cos it looks like a good monitor with a more affordable price compared to other monitors…

so we should just wait till xiaomi releases an IPS HDR monitor?

      • +1

        Thanks for the reply JGatto,

I thought heavy ghosting would be the case on this.

I have a Acer X34P with no ghosting and had a older Acer Z35 200hz panel - the ghosting on the z35 made it unusable.

I won't be touching a high refresh VA panel anytime soon.

      • does Gsync work well on this..even though it only has freesync?

        • Only Certified FreeSync works on GSync. Very rare, and only recently implemented by nvidia.
          Gsync is typically more expensive

          • +1

@YourDailySupport: I recall someone posted feedback in one of these deals saying he has a nVidia card connect to this monitor, Enabled G-Sync on the card and FreeSync on the monitor and it was displaying at 144hz no issue.

  • +15

Oh rip all phones, now they gonna have to credit back the difference

    • Can you tell me how?

      • Following

        • Ebay return worked for me.

  • Is this really good oh so tempted…..

Now I have the lg ultrawide 29"
    I'm not a gamer.
    Worth to upgrade?

    • +3

      no

    • I think the vertical height of a 27"(wide) or 34"(ultrawide) is a necessity at 1440p

Worth the upgrade size wise. If your LG 29" is 1080p you'll get more real estate for close enough to the same pixel density.

      • Maybe could do better on price without going for something at 144hz refresh rate. Seeing as thats more of a gamers feature.

        • Do you have a monitor in mind? This is a pretty good price regardless of refresh rate.

        • +1

Once you see how smoothly folder windows move around at 144/165Hz, you won't want to go back to 60Hz.

          • @Jonzay: lol, this is true though. I have a 60hz next to a 144hz and it's butter on the 144hz screen…

          • @Jonzay: do you watch your windows folder moving a lot?

            • +1

@pinkybrain: I don't sit there moving windows around my screen purely for the visual effect, but it's something you notice immediately upon changing to a 144/165Hz monitor and continue to appreciate whenever you rearrange windows on your screen.

    • +1

Nothing worst than curved Excel sheets

    • +1

if you are not a gamer then probably not worth wasting $600+ on this

you could buy other tech stuff you need instead..

  • this monitor is 418 dollars in China, why is it so expensive in Australia?

    • +8

      Because people buy it

    • +3

      Shipping costs among other things

    • Edited

    • +3

why is it so expensive in Australia?

      Lack of competition.

      • +1

        covid tax as well

    • +1

      Warranty?

    • +2

      Profit margin

    • 520aud in vietnam and higher tariffs here so should be cheaper in aus

    • +5

Buy it in China then and run the risk.

You will probably end up paying more to even get it here unless you happen to be flying back from China and can check it in as luggage. Even if it is less, you won't have protection under the Australian Consumer Law.

Things cost more in AUS because we are a small and remote market segment with strong consumer protection. Coincidently, it is the reason why brands pull out of Australia (Panasonic TVs).

      • Panasonic TVs are crap now. The plasmas and lcds were good but not their led tvs.

        • Their OLEDs were nice

        • Their OLED's are literally the best TV's for image quality right now

      • You save about $190 importing from China, but no warranty.

    • +4

Cargo shipping, duty, gst, local storage, local shipping, warehouse labour cost min $22 pre hour, credit card paypal fee, warranty cost and more

      • tbf consumer rights aren't bad in China. Of course its harder to repair/replace products in Australia though

  • Is the osd menu in English ?

    • +1

china - can be selected to eng

  • Is it oz stock?

    • +1

Yes. Great seller from personal experience may times.

      • +4

I read it quickly and thought it was gearbest lol

  • This is same height as a 27" 1440p monitor right? Thinking of getting one and retire my Dell S2719DGF to second monitor.
    And does it have VESA?

    • +1

      Yes yes.

  • +3

Ouch. Didn't the other two seller's say they'd refund people as well if the price dropped before they all shipped out on 31st July?

    • +2

Yes, says they'll credit the difference of any lower price found. Question becomes, how do we get them to do that?

      • +1

I emailled Allphones, and they said they won't refund the difference as this Gearbite deal is for grey imports (according to allphones, anyway), not genuine local stock. Not very happy with that answer.

        • i got the exact same reply from them….

          • +3

@tcjm: I ordered this one from Gearbite last night and put in a return request to allphones just after. They processed the refund today.

Actually great customer service from alphones in my experience so I’ll be more than happy to buy from them again

    • Here's hoping. Ordered mine less than an hour ago :o

    • Or credit.. but I bought mine through ebay which makes returns without questions/reasons very easy.

      • I've just ordered this one also…. also went with the ebay one so hoping they will price match after the fact - hoping they turn out to be good - not sure how running 2 of these side by side will be! I have a VERY old 30" 2k Apple 4:3 monitor which is great but power hungry alongside a 27" $120 HD monitor at the moment… just hoping they'll fit on my desk!!

        • I'm replacing my Apple 30" with this too!

          • @chu-oh: I still love the 30" monitor - the 400mm height for work is great (34" is only just under 340mm) but I suspect it's using a good amount of power (my bill increased 50% since it's on all the time WFH!)….hoping newer monitor will be much cheaper to run….guess I'll find out…I don't have a big desk (1100mm) so hoping side by side at an angle in the corner 2x34" (1600mm across!) is not going to protrude too much….I'll work it out (or have 1 as a spare!)

  • +1

is this pre order or stock ready?

    • +8

Stock is ready. Will process within 3 days.

      • Does this come with tax invoice with GST?

        • +1

Yes. You can request with messenger if you did not get one.

          • +2

@Gearbite: I ordered one of these last night to go alongside the one I ordered from Allphones a few days ago….They suggested price matching but when questioning they suggested that you are reselling grey import stock, not Australian stock - please could you confirm?

            • @evanssm2jp: following…

              • +2

                @Anstar: Reply from AllPhones:

We have been communicating with our local Xiaomi AU distributor who has already confirmed the stock was not provided by them, in this case, we can confirm it is definitely not Australian stock.

Please kindly note, the Xioami Mi Curved unit has not yet been released in the AU markers as this should be a Pre-Order listing ETA 31 July. The ETA date had been provided by our Xiaomi manufacturer AU when we should be expecting the stock to arrive at our warehouse and shipped out ASAP.

I understand your interest in price matching with Gearbite store, however, based on the facts our local distributor has advised, we are unable to price match as this would not be Australian stock and was not sourced by Xiaomi supplier AU.

However, please do let us know if you have changed your mind and wish to cancel the order. Look forward to your reply.

Guessing Gearbite is selling grey import stock..

            • @evanssm2jp: This is probably going to get negged but I think from the comments here, the answer is pretty clear.

There is a reason why it is cheaper than the others, plus I believe the Xiaomi AU wouldn't let one retailer to sell the same product at much lower price than others do, especially when the product is new to the market.

I guess it all comes down to what price you want to pay and which retailer you want to trust. You can say Gearbite could go belly up in two years but Xiaomi may decide to quit Au market in 18 month time… What do you know?

              • @davidl820: Agreed - I guess for the potential overseas warranty turnaround after sending a monitor it's probably worth the extra $37 paid.. I'll have one from each supplier so will see if there is any difference in product I guess…..

          • +1

@Gearbite: And what if someone doesn't have facebook and not even only messenger ?

  • Any one use it for photo editing??
Not many reviews around for such use.
    All help is much appreciated.

    • Would like to know as well.

    • I would go for an IPS screen, this one is VA

  • +1

What is your return policy on dead pixels?

    • +1

Will replace if have deal pixels within 2 year warranty.

      • +1

Where does it ship from, and how would it be returned for warranty?

        • +1

          From Melbourne.

        • +1

Subject to them still being in business

  • Cheap. I will get a few 😉

    • +1

      Weird flex but okay

  • Is something like this good for an office monitor as it marketed more as a gaming monitor?

    • It's cheaper to buy 2 24 inch monitor if you're not gonna game much

    • I've been watching lots of youtube clips where people rave about these for productivity. Enough room for 3 full windows open side by side.

Not too sure about this exact monitor though. From what I've read it has some ghosting issues that can be fixed by changing some settings.
