    • Yeah - Australia Post really does care about the price you pay for the item they have to handle.

I have 15kg box of lead scuba diving weights here that I recently sold for $10. I'll tell AusPost know it's outrageous they charge the buyer anything over $7 to ship them.

Can you change the inner filter?

    • not really - it's a sewn-in PTFE membrane

You want to pick up from us? That'll cost you.

  • im not associated, but ive seen the contracts or tender the govt has put up to manufacture 3.5m fabric reusable 3ply cotton govt approved… each manufacture that got the contract get like +70k masks contract to manufacture…problem is not enough sewers, and the wages is pathetic, they rather be on jobkeeper/seeker then head back to work.. i even saw some private label brands come in making orders, there is even opportunists coming in to buy to resell at a higher price for the cheapers 1-2 layer fabric masks which doesnt even have a filter….

the govt masks, i have yet to see them sold, unless they are for govt workers…

These will be coming in-store in August if you're curious!

  • Has anyone actually purchased this via the Cotton On website?
My wife decided to grab a few, but was unable to - clicking the Add To Bag button didn't add anything to the cart!
She tried several browsers, and through the ShopBack app but no luck still.

I have the same issue right now. I think it's out of stock cos they don't come up when searching the store.

Edit: Live chat says "They (management) have just gotten back to me after checking the back stock and the item is out of stock however it will be restocked on the 12/08/2020"

      • Thanks for the update!

If these are made in China, can Cotton On please confirm that no forced labour, directly or indirectly, was involved in making of this mask, especially as this product is being sold for a charitable purpose? I obviously refer to the Uighur forced labour issue. Cotton On has previously been reported to be involved in sourcing materials and products from Xinjiang.

Coalition to End Forced Labour in the Uighur Region (CEFLUR) recently named Cotton On as one of the 38 companies complicit in forced Uighur labour. I note that Cotton On says no direct supplier or subcontractor is involved but can you confirm that none of your direct suppliers and subcontractors do not benefit from forced Uighur labour?

    • Legitimate question. I don’t understand the down voting.

      • dunno…maybe because you want to make a critical informed decision about the things you purchase?
it seems some people are very defensive on this site these days….so easy to take offense to any perceived criticism

      • +1

Self-interest and self-affirmation - opinion generally defaults to these. Seemingly, despite namesake, there’s excessive wealth in this site’s patronage.

    • -4

can you substantiate the alleged uigher forced labor figures, because there are no reputable sources?

meanwhile the massive increase in slavery in america and all the 5 eyes countries including australia is neither investigated or reported.

white slavers including australians are treated very differently in the yank owned media.

what a morally degenerate country australia has become in recent years

Well if you open your eyes you may find the evidence. However, you might not want to do so because you're either a Chinese Nationalist, a "Wumao" or you stand to benefit from the egregious human right abuses of the CCP.

Can you point to any evidence for your assertion that people are being enslaved by the state in the 5 eyes countries? As franco cozzo rightly pointed out there is a reason you live in Australia.

          because you're either…

or, some just can’t shed their indoctrination. They escape from CCP, but then unwittingly shill for CCP due to ingrained loyalty.
Diaspora is an invaluable asset for CCP.

'About 15,000 people are subject to modern slavery in Australia, including sex trafficking, forced marriage and forced labour. Cases of forced labour predominantly occur in industries such as agriculture, construction, domestic work, meat processing, cleaning, hospitality and food services. Even more people are enslaved through the supply chains of Australian companies operating overseas.

The Modern Slavery Act 2018 marks an important development. It requires large businesses and Commonwealth entities to report on risks of modern slavery in their operations and supply chains, and actions to address those risks.

The first reports under the act are expected to be published this year and will be available for public scrutiny. Unfortunately, there are no penalties for non-compliance. An advisory group established to support implementation of the act lacks civil society and survivor representation.'

no penalties - look - australia - can't see ohh well never mind… just sick up yank propaganda all over the place like rabid dogs…

      this forced labour just bu-shit

      • +1

        Uyghur forced labour is real.

Face masks produced by Hubei Haixin Protective Products Group Co Ltd and exported to Australia under investigation. Hubei Daily reported 131 Uyghur women sent 3,200km from Xinjiang to Hubei to work in factories manufacturing masks.

    • Mine arrived in 3 days!

  • Just ordered a few more. Seems like C&C is free now.

    • Free if you spent over $35

  • Seeing others successfully ordered today, I just tried again. Have these masks been sold out again? Couldn't checkout…

    Any face masks for kids?

  • Has anyone who ordered with express shipping receiving a tracking number? Ordered Thursday morning and receiving nothing so far in Brisbane.
    The ETA was today.

    • I also ordered Thursday morning. It looks like it will be tomorrow.
      Edit: not express. Just standard.

    • I ordered last Thursday too, standard delivery to Brisbane. Received shipping info on Friday, looks like they’ll be delivered tomorrow. Maybe check your spam box in case the shipping email went there.

    • Same. No tracking number provided. Also express, ETA is today.

      • I contacted them via live chat. Couldn’t see any tracking and said they’d get back to me in 24hrs.
Frustrating when they appear back in stock now!

    Back in stock!

  • Just ordered.
Thanks OP and also everyone who posted helpful info :)

  • Do these masks have a wire insert to assist in forming a good seal over the nose?

  • Ordered: Monday
    Dispatched: Tuesday
    Received: Today (Melbourne)

FYI compared with the original black masks, the denim ones are slightly larger and thicker/heavier, perhaps due to the different outer layer material of denim: 83% cotton, 11% viscose, 6% polyester

  • I've been trying to order, but have missed out twice now. Any idea when a new batch is coming through?

    • lilac gingham still seems currently available, else they have been restocking weekly (this Monday, last Monday)

      (mod: edited URLs)

      • Probably because it looks like its made from a tea towel.

      • Thanks! Lilac gingham doesn't match my eyes and clashes with my beard.

+1 for this post being awesomely updated. Good job OP

  • Decent quality masks.

However, not the best fit if you have a larger face.

  • My Click and Collect arrived yesterday and I collected today. Neat, glad I have them.

However sounds like they won't be extending it, as they are in Victoria, and they expect to be able to get them transported out of the state due to border closure and restrictions on freight.

    • Thanks very much for the update. Ordered few.

    • What's the difference between black 9630184-01 and black 9630155-01?

  • +1

When are they in stock in stores? I want to get a few more.. but want to avoid the collection fee.

  • Wish they had ones with elastic to go around the head (to save my ears).

    • You could probably try a long ear saver band?

  • Thanks order a few they look good

  • Ordered Click and Collect to a QLD store on 30th July, estimated arrival date was 6th August. Still haven't heard anything about my order. Anyone else having unreasonably long delays?

  • It was similar for mine, ordering in the first wave. C&C is slower, I think they send them weekly to stores. Also they're coming from Victoria and there are freight delays due to restrictions so might take another week if slightly more.

I thought Queensland had Covid under control ?

  • I did a C&C order last week on second round of orders took 3 days for Sydney pickup

  • Ordered it on the 10th using express delivery to QLD, don't even have a tracking number, haven't heard anything from them since…

Does anyone have any luck contacting them about this?

  • I only just noticed that the OB default avatar is now Covid-safe.

  • +1

Received mine today - these are probably the closest to the perfect design for me so far. It has the wire, the layers, adjustable ears and colours.

Finally, because I have tried the following, from Best to Worst:

Bonds - Not adjustable but fits wells for my big face/head. Simple but good.

Clothmaskme - soft material and comfy, I ordered two but one was an odd fit - made me look like a duckface.

Heroeswearmasks - I know these are aussie made but these are terrible, stay away. I bought their 'normal' masks and skiffs. Material is crap (I don't know what its is but they chafes the skin on my nose wearing it) and theres a sticky residue on it. Plus the design is real bad as you have to loop it over your head. The Skiffs are worse, they look like they were designed for midget heads.

  • now 3-for-$25 :)

  • Just looked up face masks now and these cotton on masks are now 3 for $20, $27 delivered, or $22 delivered with $5 birthday coupon.

  • +2

I noticed these were still 3-for-$20, with free C&C, but couldn’t work out why my local stores weren’t showing up as an option, so I jumped onto their online chat to ask - turns out my local stores aren’t open, due to the QLD lockdown, something I didn’t realise was happening, whoops! While I was chatting to the agent, I decided to try my luck, so I asked whether they could offer me free shipping instead, because I couldn’t click & collect my order of masks as I’d planned, & they said yes! All I had to do was put the order through & give them the order number, & they’d reimburse me for the shipping costs afterwards. They even told me they’d reimburse the express shipping option! Just wanted to share in case anyone else is in the same boat… as with everything though, your mileage may vary, but it could be worth a try.
