          Thanks for sharing, looking great

        • Looks good! pretty sure I got the same CPU cooler, do you know if its RGB or just Blue version, not overly concerned but would be nice to have the RGB version.

          • +1

@ryan1815: Sorry, didn’t get a chance to dig into all the settings. Didn’t come with a controller for that, so unless it’s adjustable through the motherboard I’m guessing not :/

            • +2

              @JackMacPW: @ryan1815,

It looks like the deep cool gammaxx l240. If so, then it's RGB - controlled by motherboard software.

        • +1

YOO This is amazinnnggg, congrats Jack!!! Have a blast, also keep us updated on how it's running and handling applications! Would be sicckk to know from a first hand experience!!! <3

        • Thanks for the pics! Just curious did yours get delivered in the one package? My tracking is showing as 2 separate items with only one of them being delivered today…

          • @kittymtd: Mine is also two package, I think one is the machine and one is the accessories box. Mine should arrive sometimes this week

            • @ozvictor: Ooh hope they're actually sending them together and forgot to scan one.. Would be anti-climatic to just get part of it today…

              • +1

@kittymtd: Sorry, yes one was just the computer packed in styrofoam, the other for me was the motherboard box with all the manuals, extra cables etc. inside. Were delivered together for me, but you’re able to use the computer without anything in the accessories pack.

                • @JackMacPW: Sadly only got the accessories box delivered today. :( Good old Australia Post.

  • Hopefully my september order ships today

    • did it? mine didn't

      • nope :(

  • +3

Delivered today! But can't use it yet because we're moving house lol.

  • +1

PC arrived in Welshpool WA… but wont be delivered till Monday.

    • nice one! Can't wait for mine to get to Perth.

      • Man auspost is useless. Not even on board for delivery today.

        • Just hope yours is being delivered together, we got the accessories box yesterday in Melbourne but not the PC. Everything has been sitting in Melbourne since Wednesday.

Opened mine up yesterday and confirming some of the parts that I got in my R5 3600 Build:

    RAM: HyperX Fury DDR4 3200
    SSD: PNY CS900 480GB

Photo of the inside of the build here

The case has RGB fans on the front but the cooler doesnt on the 3600 model which I'm fine with. Fully activated without issue to the free OnTheHub W10 license key. I set it up with my new Xiaomi 34" monitor and wow, the difference to 144Hz is incredible.

Overall it's a really great build, thank you Luke for a great buying experience and there was no faults. Case was in perfect condition and all manuals and warranty slips included.

    • Thanks so much for the heads up about the OnTheHub key, had no idea that even existed!

      • +1

That's all good :) I ran into an issue where it activated but came up with an error, but then I restarted and it fixed itself. So it's best to just hard restart after inputting the code.

    • What’s the cable management like.

My god I’m so jealous why couldn’t I be quick enough to get the September build

      • Cable management from what I can tell is quite good, zip tied well all through and mostly hidden behind the back plating. Still trying to figure out how to connect my new SSD cleanly as a second drive but I'll get to that soon.

    • Can you pls advise if you need to remove the cooler in order to insert an PCIE gen 4 SSD there? The fan seems quite large and I am a bit worry if I can fit the ssd there with an heatsink cuz it’s quite thick. Dunno if it’s the angle of the photo. It seems like the fan is blocking the top m.2 SSD slot

      • +1

You’ll be able to insert the sad into the m2 slot without removing the cooler. It will slide under no problems

    • Thanks for sharing looks great, i am actually looking at getting the xaomi 34" monitor for my October build, what are your thoughts on it?

      • +1

Haven't really had the chance to try it out fully yet as we don't have hardly any internet so can't test any games.. but my initial thoughts are very positive, it's a very well made monitor and definitely exceeds my expectations for the price point. I had noted no dead pixels in the testing.

The difference between my old 1080P 60Hz display and this is mind-blowing, the colours at stock are quite good and are still open for calibration.

I don't feel a significant difference between 16:9 and 21:9, it just feels longer (which it is) and is definitely easy to get used to quickly. I tried out 21:9 footage in 1440p on YouTube and it looks great, very immersive.

I'm sure plenty of people have differing opinions and I think this is definitely a budget oriented monitor, but it's definitely a winner in my books so far.

        • +1

I also got a xiaomi 34 inch monitor, initial impression was very positive until I noticed there was a white dead pixel. I have returned it and still waiting for my replacement from allphones. After watching some video on this monitor I don’t think I can go back to regular 16x9

          • @ozvictor: Ahh that's unfortunate, did it develop as you continued to use it or was it present there from your initial purchase? It's a great monitor but it definitely seems like there's a few QC issues with dead pixels unfortunately.

            • @doweyy: I only had it for a few days I think it’s dead pixel out of the box which was very unfortunate. I heard few people mentioning dead pixels on this monitor already, was thinking about getting the dell 27 inch gaming monitor which seems to be free of dead pixel issues but still I prefer the ultrawide experience and seems like xiaomi is the only option in this price point. I am glad yours is perfect and don’t worry it’s very unlikely dead pixel will develop so you don’t need to worry. Hope my replacement will have no dead pixel this time.

    • Does your GPU fan randomly ramp to 100%? It's been doing that randomly even with very minimal loads when just using the desktop to browse chrome.

      • Yeah I've found that a bit, just random spikes when browsing up to around 1700 GPU Clock which is a bit odd, seems to occur when it loads quite a few images or more intensive web pages. Then it goes back down to 210 ish clock after it.

    • Does the motherboard look brown normally or is that just the lighting? The pics I've seen make it look black.

      • I would say it's more of a black from glancing at it, the photo was taken with a flash which seems to have made it look a lot more brown than it actually is. Definitely has some brown accents but that's with light glaring it on I believe?

        • Yeah that's probably it. Thanks for the response

  • Just received mine too (in Perth). Looks great, can't wait to try it out tonight!

Anyone still waiting for their September card orders to ship ? Seems only the Eagle card shipped so far - any Gaming OC cards ?

    • Still waiting on my September eagle to ship

    • my eagle shipped about 6 days ago, and should be here in the next few days

    • still waiting on gaming September card also…

  • +2

Any idea when the MSI Ventus cards will come in Luke?

    • +2

just emailed them about it. They said 2nd or 3rd week october, so around end of October dispatch date, potentially Early Nov if any delays.

      • Figured it would be around that time, hoped for earlier. As long as it is arrives before November 19th, I'll be happy.

  • Just trying to use mine now and it turns on, LEDs turn on and fans spin, but I can't get any signal. Tried all of the graphics card ports and multiple working monitors/cables and nothing.

Any ideas? Will send them an email…

    • Is the monitor on

      • +1

Monitor is also on. It lights up like it's searching for a signal whenever I turn the computer on or unplug/plug it in.

        • Agret's suggestion below might help

    • +1

I repair PCs from home and this has happened with a few peoples PCs after they get it home again.

Take out the GPU (have to be careful of the release clip) & the power connectors for the GPU and then put it back in and replug them.

If that doesn't get it going- take out the power cable from back of PC, take out the silver CMOS battery from the little holder on the board and hold the power button for about 5 seconds then pop the battery back in and replug power cable and try turn on.

      • Thanks for the suggestions, I gave them a go but no luck. I also tried connecting directly to the motherboard once the graphics card was out but same situation.

Swapped out the RAM too for two other sticks I had and no luck there either.

LEDs and fans on the case, CPU cooler and graphics card all turn on, no beeps or anything from the motherboard.

        • Unlucky bro, hopefully you get it sorted.

        • Pre assembled?

        • You can't use the motherboard HDMI out without the graphics card in, cos these Ryzens don't have integrated graphics cards.

What display cable did you use ? The graphics card has 2 HDMI and 2 DP.

Quite rare for everything to turn on and not have a signal.

          • @gooseberry: Ahh makes sense. I've tried using HDMI and Display port in the graphics card with 3 different monitors.

            @luketechfast any ideas?

            • +1

@theknight27: Put my old 1080 in and everything worked as expected… Not looking great for the new 3080 :'(

              • @theknight27: Are GPU fans turning?
Try waiting a minute or so after turning on :)

    • Gigabyte or MSI?

    • Could it have anything to do with this issue?

      https://www.overclockers.co.uk/forums/threads/3080-3090-giga…

      • Checked, my serial is in the problem range. Been sent back to TechFast now.

Seems like I am only getting one of the two parcels delivered today also. AusPost is hopeless, why can’t they deliver at the same time?

    • Oh no you too? Hopefully you don't just get the motherboard box like we did yesterday.. Still no idea when the PC is coming. :(

      • Yea got tracking notification that my second parcel is arriving today. Another one still stuck in Melbourne since last Friday.

        • I still don't have confirmation that the second parcel is on board for delivery today, so won't be surprised if I have to keep on waiting for a few days. Australia Post really is trash.

          • @kittymtd: Not surprised I only received the motherboard box :( maybe the staff from AusPost couldn’t preorder the 3080 and purposely delay our shipping -_-

            • +1

@ozvictor: Noooo! It sucks for the both of us, but at least we're not alone. I'll keep you posted.

  • +6

Got mine Friday - looks amazing inside - holy crap the 3080 is huge. Got everything installed nicely and loaded up Escape from Tarkov and it carved up 4k at 90 fps. Thanks Luke very happy with the purchase and build quality!

  • +5

Received my system yesterday for the September allocation to Perth! Didn't get a notification via email at all and it showed up on my doorstep. Super keen to build it and can barely concentrate at work today. Pics attached.

    • Did you purchase the wifi upgrade for the motherboard? As I noticed it is biostar, which I really don't want, I actually only got the wifi version to avoid the biostar.(Dont need wifi, sits next to the router)

      • +1

I think Luke said the X570 WIFI will not be Biostar.

        • Yeah that's why I was wondering if he paid for the wifi upgrade. Pretty sure Luke said it would be a TUF or equivalent.

I thought in the pictures they posted that they had paid for the upgraded power supply and the 3700x. Which made me think they would have went with the power supply too. When I looked again I realised I was mistaken.

I'm just being a little sketchy.

  • +3

mine came as a surprise today because i had never gotten any confirmation of it being shipped

    • Same here. Email notification just came in but package arrived yesterday which was a nice surprise.

  • +4

Arrived! All in original boxes. Super happy

    • Did you get the codes for AC Valhalla and Watchdogs Legion?

      • +2

AC Valhalla code came in the box for me, Luke mentioned WD Legions is still outstanding with Nvidia in a comment previously.

      • AC is only with the 3700x correct? I got the 3600 so no.

        • +2

Check your box, I got the 3600 and it came with a code on a piece of paper in the accessories box, not sure if that was an error or not..

          • +1

@doweyy: Hey just wondering was your code written on a piece of paper or was it printed? Just want to check our accessories box to see if we got it (got the 3600).

            • @kittymtd: Mine was printed on a slip of paper, not handwritten

              • @JackMacPW: Ok, don't think we got it as there's nothing in the box referring to Assassin's Creed.

      • I ordered a Ryzen 7 3700x, November build, will I get AC Valhalla with that?

        • Just to add on that, it will be prebuilt so will I still get AC Valhalla?? I hope I do :)

        • i received the code, it said code expires 7th November 2020, but i thought the game only release on 10th November 2020 ? so its pre order code?

          • @ozvictor: Daammm I got no clue, @luketechfast??

  • Got mine as well.

    Two issues.

1- pci-e holder clip for gfx card had broken off. I reattached it and seems to be ok

2- my 3600 ryzen on stock cooler hits 95c under.load..and today was a cooler day. This is concerning..is this normal or has the cooler been mounted incorrectly?

Also how do I turn off the front fan lights..they are so bright ?!

    • 3600 is hot but if 95 is on normal load, you might have to check the cooler.

    • 95 is really hot on normal load and even gaming. Might need to reapply thermal paste to the CPU in case it hasn't been seated properly

    • the 3600 ryzen DOES run hot, but it's still concerning Like others said, take the CPU out, reapply thermal paste, seat it in again. Make sure you tighten the cooler properly. If its not on tight it won't do its job. Failing this, you may just need to buy another cooler because the stock cooler for the 3600 isn't very good.

    • Did you resolve the heating issue? We got the 3600 too and looked up videos on Youtube on how to undervolt and it has really helped with the temperatures. AMD has set the voltage too high for achieving 4.2GHz it seems.

      • No, only solution I would do is a new aftermarket cooler.

  • Any thought on this air cooler to replace the stock cooler? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/566421

    • Just get a 240mm AIO and be done with it. Prettt sure coolermaster do one for $150 with argb

    • Arctic esports 34 duo

  • +8

@luketechfast Any chance you could give us October purchasers an ETA

    • I believe someone already messaged him, and they were advised end of October as the dispatch date. At least for the MSI Ventus. Might be different for the Gigabyte versions.
