      Nah these aren't too bad for gaming. Most 'gaming' monitors don't bother with HDR, and this one will look better than most of the VA and TN panels.

      They're actually decent for gaming, but if you want hardcore a 2k 144hz is the sweet spot.

      haha, went through the same issue helping my partner get a monitor for WFH. The dell specs don't lie, so as long as you measured properly, you should be fine. Can always find a deal on a rotary sander to make the desk space larger if necessary!

          Because the dual arm normally limited the amount of space between monitors, 2 X 27" is really pushing. If you have 2 single you can put the stand anywhere you want. For $10 different you really looking at single. Just buy 1 single, feel.it and get another one

            I got quite an expensive dual arm and it just fits the two ultra wides but I’m not a fan. Looking to get two single arms - it’s not as clean but it has better practicality. Sometimes I wish I could stack the ultrawides on top of each other when I’m doing that sort of work instead of craning my neck left and right and can’t do with my current set up.

        I was just hoping to get one for the PS5. It has a lower refresh rate, but it's at 4K. I guess it all depends on preference and what you need it for.

          There’s no way you will notice the difference between 1440p and 4k on 27” even if you’re 30cm from the screen. You will however, notice the improvement in framerate at the slightly lower res. Tldr; don’t be gutted :)

            @eggboi: Would you really notice a 15 frame boost? I can understand over double being noticeable, barely play FPS games anymore. Not trying to be cheeky, genuinely intrigued.

              @[Deactivated]: Sorry - I wasn't even considering the 15 frame boost! but yeah, mayyy be noticeable? What I meant was that you will notice the dodgy framerates when devs inevitably push the PS5 hardware to its limits and you are choosing between 1440p (or even 1080p) at buttery smooth constant 60fps uninterrupted action, vs 4k that dips down to 25-30fps depending on scene complexity. Even if it only dips occasionally, it ruins the immersion. In order to really benefit from the extra res of 4k, you need to be close enough to the screen that you literally have to turn your head back and forth to see the full frame, corner to corner. While this does happen in the cinema, and is part of the experience, most of the time with gaming, you want to sit at a distance where the screen is a good size, but you can still take everything in and react to it without having your neck on a swivel haha.. Hope that made sense.

                @eggboi: I was just thinking along the lines of 1440p not being supported on PS5 (unsure if this is true or not - Xbox One did though), even if most of the games are upscaled from that anyway.                   @[Deactivated]: Yeah, and let's not forget that half the time games claim to be 4K, they are either being upscaled at the console level from 1080 / 1440 anyway, and with games like Doom Eternal and some of the Halo series (and others) they have a dynamic resolution feature… which is actually super neat because they seamlessly adjust the resolution to maintain the framerate, so you get super smooth action and also higher detail when standing still to appreciate the graphics haha. ahhh, technology.
