As many many ppl have said in the past - this site determines what is and isn't a bargain by the voting system. Clearly, lots of people think this was a good thing to share.

Can your perspective on this post being a bargain be swayed by the fact that even though it is at RRP, with immediate sort supply, scalpers are able to charge much more on ebay, as mentioned by cc789 and eggaz?
Therefore, being able to get stock at RRP is better than being forced to pay the ebay seller prices, making this a bargain. Would you accept that?

I'm really disappointed that there's no Halo. it's the one game that started me with Xbox and has been the driver for me to upgrade every generation since.

Scarcity marketing. Create a herd mentality. No one is even worried about $750 being too much anymore.
But why would they do that if they're getting full RRP for it?
Increase demand therefore more sales.
I'm excited to see the new consoles coming out but I'm not sure I want to jump on the 1st gen models. The 'enhanced' versions of the games that can take advantage of the new hardware are largely not going to be available for some time anyway. I think I'll wait at least for gen 2 so they can iron out some of the kinks and maybe bring the price down a bit. At the very least, I'm expecting I'll be able to upgrade my One S to a One X reasonably cheap once the new consoles have been released, and Microsoft are guaranteeing they'll support the One for at least a couple of years yet.

This is a 4th gen Xbox.
While that's true, what I'm referring to is the first iteration of the build. You'll often find them referred to as 'generations' as well. A prime example of what I'm referring to is the original build of the Xbox 360, which is usually called a 'Gen 1 360', and how they almost all universally suffered from red ring of death. I got a 360 at launch and ended up getting two replacements under warranty. While I appreciated Microsoft replacing them (the second was actually under the extended warranty program they started, even when they didn't have to) it was something I'd prefer to avoid. Hence, this time around I'm unsure whether I want to jump onboard at release, or wait until they fine-tune the design, fix the bugs, and drop the price for the second build in a year or so.
Last gen was the exact opposite, The PS4 turned into a vacuum cleaner very quickly
I think they mean like an 'S' version like Xbox One vs Xbox One S (later is so much more well built and optimised; and it does matter, trust).

I was going to wait till next year for both consoles. After the Bethesda news, I want to get my hands on an Xbox series x immediately purely out of FOMO. Nothing logical about it. I'm sure many others will be in the same mindset.
I have only had PS (apart from the original Xbox). I think this Xbox looks great, and seems a heap smaller that the giant sized ps5.

@fuzor I'd say it's a fairly similar reception to Ps5? Sold out at every store within minutes (Aside from knowing actual Qty available how can you make that assumption already?) In terms of design… I much rather the simple aesthetic of Xbox over the PS5 Behemoth.
I am ps fanboy and even I know xbox is doing fine this time around, specially with the news of msoft buying Bathesda, I wonder how gaming is going to look in the next few years.

eh I'm not buying either console but I actually prefer the minimalist design of the xbox. Many people do in fact. A lot of products are going down that route rather than "futuristic sci-fi" design.

I'd personally rather have the console 2 or 3 months earlier than get a free game with it. Plus with this limited stock I doubt we'll be seeing 20% off for quite some time
