Sony 65” X9000H $1929.99 @ Costco (Membership Required)

270

Good price for anyone with a Costco membership and missed out on the damaged box stock deal a couple of days ago.

Better deal here for anyone that would use the Kayo sub.

In-store only, not available online. My local Costco is North Lakes, Qld, but deal is available at other Costco stores according to the staff member I spoke with.

I think in one of the other Sony X9000h threads, someone mentioned that the RRP is now $1999. Not too sure if you'd regret it getting this at only $70 off plus the need for membership and no cashrewards/shopback. Vic Good Guys also have a 10% discount on the $1999 price.

    • How do I get the 10% on the $1999? OCT10 doesn't work on that TV

    • X9000h is excluded from discount.

    • Vic Good Guys also have a 10% discount on the $1999 price.

What’s the 10% discount? Do you mean the OCT10 discount code from a couple of days ago?

No really worthy to fork out extra money to join Costco! 9 out of 10 times, you can get better deals without the membership!

It's worth it for the petrol alone in our case, always 30 to 40 cents cheaper per litre for 98.

How could people down vote your comment - I brought it back up.

      • Same here, petrol is worth it if you close enough. Anything else, like this tv, is a bonus.

I said it was good for anyone already with a membership in the OP, never suggested signing up just for this.

Costco has a better warrenty on the tvs can be up to 10 years as long as u still have membership

      • They’ve change the return policy on ‘certain electronics’ to 90 days for purchases made from 31st August 2020 onwards. This includes TVs.

That's their policy on change of mind yes. There product warranty or "satisfaction guarantee" is many years. You just have to maintain your membership from when the product was purchased.

          • @IndiScouter: That’s not correct. Change of mind/Satisfaction policy falls under their return policy.

@mrnugget: If u buy a tv from Costco and u keep up the membership and the tv dies after say 6 years it can be returned for refund

@Dex38313: Have a read of the post I linked (both the Costco policy and OB link):

“For electronic goods, Costco Wholesale’s return policy for change of mind only applies for 90 days from the date the member receives the following goods: televisions…”

I wasn’t able to find a warranty’ policy that goes beyond ACL.

I was under this assumption as well until I went in-store last week to pick up a TV and saw the notice plastered all over the TV section of the store, suggesting it was a recent change.

Happy to be proven wrong, but don’t want people buying TVs from Costco under false pretense.

                • @mrnugget: They don’t have a policy for warrenty but I no someone who returned a tv after 5 years because it just died. An got a full refund

                  • @Dex38313: Their 90 day policy for TVs is new and applies to purchases made after 31st August this year.

                    • @mrnugget: Yes that’s return change of mind policy
I was at Costco today and asked about there tv policy on faulty good and was told it’s the Sam as when we opened full refund up to 8 years deoending on price paid and if membership was renewed each year

you can cancel your membership at anytime(within the year) and get the membership fee back

  • You've tagged the 55 inch - what was the instore price of the 55?

    • I didn’t do that - looks like a power user has edited the post and included some additional tags, including a couple of incorrect ones.

  • Am in the market for a 65 inch Smart TV….not sure which one to choose between the Sony 65" X9000H and the Samsung 65" Q70T. Any suggestions????
Our lounge room does not have a a lot of natural light but has a open dining place that has lights on during night.
Budget is no more than $2000. Thanks in advance.

X9000h. It has local dimming vs the q70 which does not.

    • +1

The Q80T is the more comparable TV, but a fair bit more expensive. the x9000H is much better value

  • Got the TV and its stunning.
Also eARC works properly so I don't need a new amplifier! This deal literally saved me 1-2k, tv for free!
