    Ordered something for $10 at Liquorland - when I clicked on the link it was 100%, but in the cashback portal its says my cash back is 32cents…beware

    If I buy something at $20 and the maximum cashback is $10, I'm not getting 100% back. You need to re-word your title as it is contradictory.

    I'll be steering clear of this one. Website registered in Germany/Denmark? Ehhh, thanks, but no thanks.

      All capped cashback titles are like that. (See Liquorland 15% Cashback ($20 Cap, Ends Midnight) @ Cashrewards, for example.)

      It is left up to the user to do the maths to work out the maximum spend required to hit the cap. Easy for this deal—$11. Harder for the Cashback deal I linked to ($20÷0.15×1.1 = $146.67).

        Yeah I get that, but it's misleading to state that it's a 100% cash back offer when there is actually a cap on the cash back.

        If you buy something for $10, then sure, it's 100% back. But claiming something is "100% cash back" is only a legitimate claim if the you are actually getting 100% cash back.

    There's no way to see what time a user clicked/ the transaction details. I clicked and purchased not long after seeing this post. If I'm not included in the first 500, then it's probably not worth for me to click through this site again in the future.

    I like like how the banner at the top of their page (mobile view) has a link to the app that implies 1, 345 reviews with an average of 5 stars.

    Upon clicking through, the play store rates the app at just 2.4 stars from 14 reviews, most of which are 1 star ratings!

    Doesn't exactly instil confidence for a service that's largely based on trust.

    Background : plastiq is owned (in part) by a guy from the Australian version of the show shark tank (never seen it), 400k in equity was raised through crowd funding.

    I really doubt there is room in the Australian market for another cashback service. But let's see.

    They use Yodlee to access bank accounts, who I believe are trustworthy.
    The issue is banks do not like (or I would think some wouldn't even technically allow) 3rd parties to log in to your bank account.

            @whodidthat: Don't know why they're not answering as it could be easily explained. Woolworths have Malaysian domain "Woolies.my" and Apple have a domain from Montenegro "Apple.me" and there's heaps more exampkes like bit.ly who using a domain from Libia.

            Just makes the domain name shorter and more memorable.

              I didn't know about Woolies.my (though I don't get a page come up for it), apple.me redirects to Apple.com.
              I use a .co for one of my sites, which redirects, but if anyone asked me why, I wouldn't avoid answering the question. 🤷‍♀️

        Just because they clicked doesn't mean they followed through. They said they expire the deal one it reaches 500 so until then, I'd say it's still valid.
