2 Years Free Adobe Creative Cloud for Students / Educators @ Adobe (Via Privo / Nat Geo)

5120

Greetings everyone, Adobe is offering 2 years free of their creative cloud service via their partnership with National Geographic :)

We have partnered with Adobe, a champion for creativity and the power of storytelling. As part of this partnership, Adobe is providing all course participants and their students complimentary access to its Creative Cloud collection of apps and services – the same tools many National Geographic storytellers use to create their work.

To access this opportunity, continue to PRIVO, who will help you create a secure Adobe membership.

Instructions:

  1. Go to the linked page and go down to the "PRIVO" Blue Button and click through.
  2. Go through the prompts and sign up using your details and select the appropriate level of education. For those that have studied before, this can be "Higher Education". There is no verification on the uni/school.
  3. Sign up and verify the email, and it will redirect to Adobe to have access to creative cloud :)

Note, the Adobe access is through a Privo email and not a personal email.

Note, this offer is as part of a professional development training also, they may remove the license at any point so it could be worth doing some courses just in case.

Complimentary access to Adobe Creative Cloud though the Adobe Creative Cloud for Education Offer is subject to active participation in the National Geographic Storytelling For Impact Program. Adobe reserves the right to cancel the License granted through this offer at any time should you become inactive in the Program or at the end of 24 months, whichever is sooner.

From the Signup Email:

NOTE: Your new account may take up to 5 minutes, from the time you completed registration, to be provisioned. Please give your account enough time to properly provision before attempting to login.

As always, enjoy!

Try reverifying your account. I just did it and got mine back

      • Awesome, how do I reverify it?

        • +2

Go back to the original email where it asks you to verify your account. Then click on the verify now link.

      • How did you verify your account…. I did but not all apps available

        • Yes I did confirmed the age with CC and all apps are available now

  • Can confirm that as buckethat said, reverifying the account and the sub is back on.

  • Was able to reverify account through original verify email. Verified via paypal and now my subscription is back!

    • I do another verify again through PayPal as well, and I login to adobe still said "Your administrator hasn’t assigned any apps or services to your account. Contact your administrator to request access." do you know why?

      • sorry I wouldn't know why. I signed up initially when verify account was just clicking the blue button. And now it was my first time verifying via paypal.

        • Did you have to use your real name and details to verify through paypal?

          • +1

@Dungeon Master: I logged into my PayPal account to verify. And PayPal account has my real details.
They just want to know basic info (i.e name, birthdate) to confirm that you're an adult who created a privo account.

            • @pea: Thanks for replying. I signed up initially with fake details and tried to verify with my real name/dob paypal and it worked!

      • Give some time….check after 1 hour or so
You will get email saying it's been activated. Click on new link…..before clicking delete history and cookies of your browser

  • I love this community, went through the verification process, all good now. TX

    • No luck for me even after reactivating. Just getting trials.

      • +1

Did you do the payment verification. ?

        • +1

I did with PayPal and no luck but just tried CC and it worked instantally.

  • Did anyone get access to photoshop or the top tier apps? I scored this deal on day one and finally got around to downloading the creative cloud app just now, but I can only install apps; XD, Premier Rush (seems like a cut down version), Bridge and Aero… However photoshop, after effects, indesign etc all have "TRY/BUY" buttons rather than install… any ideas?

    • Follow the instructions in the comment above to re-verify your account and you'll get all the rest

For re-verifation (and getting assigned apps) just wanted to emphasise, go back to the original verification email and click the link. This was the one thing that sorted mine. The original verification email.

Thanks for posting this. Just realised I didn't have access anymore. What method did you use to re-verify and did you use fake info?
update: if you signed up with fake details, you can verify with your real paypal and it will be accepted

I can't find the email :( could you share who was the sender was I can search it in my email account?

EDIT: no probs found it - re-verification worked.

  • Dang does this mean we have to reverify every month?

  • I finally got this working again. I had reverified from original email using Paypal and was able to get the Adobe page up with the apps, but most said 'try/buy'. Today it finally said 'install', but I still couldn't log in to the Adobe CC app with those details. So I uninstalled the CC app, then downloaded and installed again, which worked.

  • Mine kicked me out too

I signed up to adobe using the privo email address
does anyone know how to get back to that inbox?

The link i had is now expired so i cant login

  • +1

For those who've lost the original verification email, I found that going to my.privo.com > signing in > click name and go to messages > archive tab and then clicking edit permissions under National Geographic Education | Permission Request allowed me to re-enable my sub.

  • I was having trouble getting the apps to be "non trial" in the creative cloud app for Mac. Just to save someone else an hour, I found that

    • you can sign into the website for creative cloud using your personal account. It will redirect you to Privo to login. All apps appear activated. At no point in this process do you need your @ngs.privo.com email address.

    • you should sign into creative cloud for your desktop using your ng.privo.com email address to get the apps to appear activated.
