2 Years Free Adobe Creative Cloud for Students / Educators @ Adobe (Via Privo / Nat Geo)

5120

Greetings everyone, Adobe is offering 2 years free of their creative cloud service via their partnership with National Geographic :)

We have partnered with Adobe, a champion for creativity and the power of storytelling. As part of this partnership, Adobe is providing all course participants and their students complimentary access to its Creative Cloud collection of apps and services – the same tools many National Geographic storytellers use to create their work.

To access this opportunity, continue to PRIVO, who will help you create a secure Adobe membership.

Instructions:

  1. Go to the linked page and go down to the "PRIVO" Blue Button and click through.
  2. Go through the prompts and sign up using your details and select the appropriate level of education. For those that have studied before, this can be "Higher Education". There is no verification on the uni/school.
  3. Sign up and verify the email, and it will redirect to Adobe to have access to creative cloud :)

Note, the Adobe access is through a Privo email and not a personal email.

Note, this offer is as part of a professional development training also, they may remove the license at any point so it could be worth doing some courses just in case.

Complimentary access to Adobe Creative Cloud though the Adobe Creative Cloud for Education Offer is subject to active participation in the National Geographic Storytelling For Impact Program. Adobe reserves the right to cancel the License granted through this offer at any time should you become inactive in the Program or at the end of 24 months, whichever is sooner.

From the Signup Email:

NOTE: Your new account may take up to 5 minutes, from the time you completed registration, to be provisioned. Please give your account enough time to properly provision before attempting to login.

As always, enjoy!

      • Yeah I've been trying that but always goes to access denied. Tried different browsers as well but no luck

        • I used to get that as well, but for some reason, after waiting 2 hours it fixed itself. If you got the congratulations email, wait for an hour or 2 and then try, it should work.

Life saver! did they explain that somewhere in the emails? totally missed it. all working now

  • got access to all software now. thanks op

  • I signed up for the course but I don't see any blue privo button or anything, I'm pretty confused.

  • This is the best deal I have seen in a while! Hopefully Adobe won’t revoke access before the 2 years.

    • I think the trick is to continue doing courses. The first one you need to complete within 60days, so maybe on day 61 you start a new course, which also had the 60 day clock. If they do plan on culling free offer people. they'll remove those not doing courses

      • +1

Where can I enroll for a course?

      • Can you share the link you used to sign up for the course?
I tried to go to https://privohub.privo.com but it just shows an error and the natgeo has a course but it isn't linked to the privo account.

  • Had some trouble last night trying to confirm email but was able to complete the set up just now, access to all apps..thanks OP

  • After i click on "Get started with Adobe Creative Cloud" I see this error message:

NameID element must be present as part of the Subject in the Response message, please enable it in the IDP configuration.

    Any ideas? Cheers

  • i cleared cookies and all working now.. thanks

  • After you register, where do you go at PRIVO to install the Adobe Creative Cloud ?

    • I clicked on the link in the email they sent.

      • The email I received was for the email verification from Privo

I have not received any email with the link to Install Adobe Creative Cloud ???

        • I received two emails.

The first was to verify my account and then a few minutes after I did that there was another email saying it is activated, which has the access link.

          Both emails are from PRIVO.

          • @Ms Bargainer: Can you post the access as I only received the first email ?

          • @Ms Bargainer: Did it ask you the social security number??

  • +1

I click on the link in the verification email and it's asking for Identity Verification with either SSN, Credit Card or PayPal. Did anyone have to provide this?

    • Did you sign up yesterday or earlier today? I've been trying the last two hours and I've been unable to sign up at all.

      • +1

Signed up yesterday but was unable to go through verification

        • I’m facing the same issue. Were you able to find the solution?

    • +1

Yes. I did the PayPal verification.

      • And you managed to access the apps after that?

        • Paypal verification option is no longer there

        • +1

          Yes.

  • Thanks got it

  • Update: Still unable to log in. Cleared browser cookies/cache. Tried every 2 hours since this deal was out. About to give up

  • On the Privo link it is now saying "Creative Cloud registration for the National Geographic Storytelling for Impact Program is temporarily closed." :(

  • +1

When you sign up for the National Geographic Storytelling For Impact Program do I use my PRIVO email or my normal email?

  • +1

Amazingly, this worked for me! Signed up 2 days ago, initially got the Access Denied error, then tried again today and I'm in :) perfect timing too, was considering getting a subscription to access the "premium" features on their iOS apps

  • +1

Finally working for me as well after all the Access Denied errors from last time. :)

  • +3

    I am getting
    An error occurred
SAML Response does not have Success status code. Please check the saml2p:Status element.

  • +3

I couldn't get this to work. BUT i have kids in NSW primary school. They have an email address [email protected] - you can simply sign in at http://creativecloud.adobe.com/ and type their email, it will redirect to SSO, then put their password in, and bang, you have instant unlim access. Download Creative Cloud then install photoshop etc onto your local machine, licenced & free!

  • Where can I see the expiry date? and can I deactivate ahead before it charge or few days before the expiry date?

    • You won't be charged since you are not asked for payment info.

  • It has been two days, alwasy get "An error occurred
SAML Response does not have Success status code. Please check the saml2p:Status element."

    • Try again after clearing cookies/ cache.

      • Thank you so much for your reply! Still the same problem :(

        • I'll assume you have tried Incognito and different browsers?

  • Deal of the year thank you!

  • I guess it doesn't work anymore right?

    • Yup. Can't signup but for those who got it like me, it's the deal of the year. Thanks to OP.

      • The things is that I signed straight after it was posted but it doesn't seem to work.. can't understand why

        • Same although I was about to verify via Paypal but then they removed the option

          • @Krayzii: Did they ask you to verify through social security number?

            • @ets27: Yeap. They removed the Paypal, Credit Card option

        • I didn't know how, but I kept refreshing and tried different browsers and it took about 20 mins.

  • Mine worked yesterday and just was cancelled today!
    they worked it out :(

    • Got kicked off today too :(

  • +1

I just wanted to give an update, I had signed up at the beginning and got through, and had been using Photoshop and Lightroom Classic perfectly until today it just stopped saying my subscription expired. Granted I didnt sign up to any of the programs. So I guess they identified my lack of participation. Was nice while it lasted :(

  • +2

it changed to trial now :(

  • +1

    Hey All
i clicked around my account in privo and national geographic and it works again now
i think its a inactivity thing (which the email says)

    so we back!

    • Did you sign up to any of the courses? I didnt, and even after logging back into privo it didnt reactivate for me

      • no as i can work out how to veryfy the privo email lol where is the inbox for it

    • 1) i know how to login to nat geo and adobe, but which link do you use to log in to privo ?

      2) is "all" adobe apps working? or only part of it? it seems like my photoshop and premiere pro is in "trial" mode

      • +12

i went back into my email from when this deal started and clicked all my "verify" and "get started with adobe"
lol then i went to nat geo and tried to sign up for a course but it said go to your email and verify but i cant as i used the privo email address that this deal required and cant find that inbox.

        • +1

thanks mate, all back to normal after i verify my account again.

        • Did you manage to find a way to access the inbox to privo in order to verify ?

        • You are a legend

  • +3

My is back to normal now after I verified with Paypal. Cheers

    • +2

Same, had to verify with one of the methods I chose paypal too. Working again

  • +6

Managed to get my account back to normal after following what bumheadboi did. You should open your privo email where it asks you to verify your details and click the verify button, where you'll be led to the page to confirm your details.

At the bottom there should be a verify information button to choose - I went with Paypal verification and my account is working again.

  • +1

Can confirm also. Working again after verifying with PayPal.

  • verifying with paypal but still have no acesss. just me or bad luck :(

    • work for me now. the point is not verify paypal is verify account link in email

  • All good. login off n login.

  • Logged in and verified, got access to account & settings on Privo, however I don't see a way to verify with PayPal? Am I doing something wrong?

    • chose "select all method"

  • Works for me now
    Thanks bumheadboi…

  • Was working for me till yesterday, able to sign in now but cannot install any apps. Went to the adobe account page, getting an error “ Your administrator hasn’t assigned any apps or services to your account. Contact your administrator to request access.”

Anyone else getting the same error? I have signed out and signed back in already.

    • the workaround is few post above you :) -> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/9640588/redir

      • Worked, thanks mate!

        • did it work straight away? tried logging out and in again. Verified via paypal etc. Not sure if i need to wait a while or is it instant.

          • @Grandpipe: Paypal verification resulted in instant access.

  • verifying thru PayPal didn't work out for me. I used the credit card and now it's working again.

  • Ty all for posting a fix!

  • This only works in Chrome. For me at least..

  • +2

Finally, it works. The SAML problem is fixed when I reveirfy my account with paypal. Now it makes the best deal of the year

    • Same, finally!

  • +1

bumheadboi is 2nd only to OP in legendary status. Thanks!

  • I got kicked out of Lightroom just before exporting a few night's work worth of editing haha thanks Bumheadboi for the fix that saved me several hours of work <3

Is this only happening to people who never had to do the PayPal verification the first time? Or are people having to do it again?

  • +1

Bummer. Verified via PayPal and CC and it still says trial with “ Your administrator hasn’t assigned any apps or services to your account. Contact your administrator to request access” in account section. Not sure what else to try…
I’ve used before ok and came back after a week or so of not using it to see it was now a trial account.

    • I went back to the very first privo email I received. I didn't need to verify my account again as I just had, but using that email and clicking the blue button (Confirm maybe?) did it!

    • Same here :(

    • Same as Grandpipe - "Your administrator hasn’t assigned any apps or services to your account", after verifying my Privo account with PayPal. Maybe only a few were able to re-activate their licenses, and Privo won't assign any more from now on?

      • +1

Did you click on the link in the initial email? I had already verified, but went back to that email and went from no licence to having a licence just today.

        • Phew, I got the licence back. I had done the identity verification via PayPal, which I thought was the required step, but the licence wasn't restored. I've now gone back to that initial email and used the link to verify my email address, and instantly I have the licence back. Luckily I still had that initial email. Thanks for the tip TheZohan!
