  • Amazon has just deposited $1 onto my credit card. Still only says ordered and green line is half way to shipped. Is this a good sign? Still says Delivery December 18th though.

    • I'd assume that's good as they charge upon dispatch, so perhaps they're doing a $1 test payment. I ordered the disc edition in the 11 am release and am yet to be charged anything.

    • Mine shows 17 December, but nothing in credit card yet. Ordered 9:06 (time from Amazon email).

  • FYI I ordered a digital edition in the 11am release on Amazon and was due to be delivered 17th-24th November. Seems I must have missed that shipment as I've gone into my order and there is a small blurb below that was pretty hard to find (shipment date still hasn't updated). In case any one else didn't get theirs in their original date window.

    • if it's going to be re-evaluated and theres no date yet, i suppose i should just drop it back to "expedited" shipping - i mean, why pay the extra $10 now if it's going to be delayed…

        just don’t touch it otherwise it will be reevaluated again and pushed to the end of the queue…. according to customer support, that’s how their system works - if you modify the order, it changes your queue position and subsequently, the delivery time

      • make sure you don't touch anything that's if you do want to get delivered on the date displayed under your order.

        mine says 17 Dec so im just gonna wait.

        I dropped mine back to expedited yesterday and got the email above today. Save yourself the $10 shipping not worth it for a day earlier.

      What a bummer, got the same email. Amazon were the first ones to release stock on 12th and the last ones to deliver. Really crap experience considering i am a prime member too.

        Just be grateful to lock in one before Christmas. I'm sure there are a lot of ozbargainers who would like to be in your position.

        • Curiosity killed the cat, i am officially screwed, i chatted with customer rep and they changed my shipping method to priority saying its for free without my consent. I am at near bottom of queue now with my order stuck at : We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date. At least it was showing 3rd Dec before now i don't even know whether i will get one.

          • @hoolahoop: Yeah, I'm stuck at the same position as well also. In the speed rush to buy one I paid with my pre-loaded details…my card was due to expire end of November though. Wouldn't have been an issue had it charged/shipped on time but now with the delay I had no choice but to amend payment details and I now have no delivery date.

    • I was told any modifications to your order will delay it. Address is probably even worse, because they may need to reassign a different fulfilment centre to your order

  • In line with what is going out now with the preorders and some of which were for 2021.

    I have been reading from multiple online forums that store will have stock for a black Friday with a December release. This puts Goodguys inline with what they are currently doing.

    Has anyone heard the same please help advise the community

    Oh man this is crazy, just had a dream that Target released their stock and asked a bullshit "we are checking you are not a bot" question. It was this row of symbols that kept changing and they asked how many pairs of unique symbols there were. And once you submitted you didn't know if it was right or not, you could only just wait for them to contact the people who were correct. So I checked the thread and tons of people were saying how easy it was and no one would say what the number was. I guess that was a nightmare?

  • A number on whirlpool now reporting they have GoodGuys texts. I would assume these have to be individually sent given its a special registration to an assigned console but who knows.

        • Yeah none for me either.
          I registered interest on launch day with the Good Guys. I didn't get an email from them but did enter my details into the form that an OzBargainer had linked.
          I'm trying to have low expectations but can't help getting excited every time I feel my phone buzz! The agony is real haha

          • @nukleotide: As they were "invites" I assume that anyone who registered a submission with that posted link whose details did not match one of the invites in their system likely had their submission discarded. This is why they took a couple of days to send out the SMS's, they had to make sure applications were genuine for the people they were initially meant for. You never know though!
