PS5 will be available for order on Thursday the 12th of november ONLINE ONLY AT ALL STORES

Ordering update: The PS5 console will be available to order online only on launch day, Thursday 12th November, for expected delivery by December 15th. PS5 consoles will not be available for in-store purchase. Please check back for further updates.

              @ImpulsePie: Very true. I'd imagine they only sent out invites in accordance to how much stock they have/expect to have. Chances of 'uninvited' people like me getting through are slim

              @ImpulsePie: Round 1 my cousin registered from an Ozbargain link and got one.

              Never registered his interest with TGG

              What they do is they leave it open until all stock has sold through. They have the page open for ages.

              If someone doesn't pay, the sms gets sent to the next person. I know someone from round 1 that got an sms 2 weeks after the original sms went out, it was because people didn't pay

                @Chukka01: Not sure if round 1 was different, but for this most recent round it does say in the terms: " Only customers who registered and received an invitation to apply will be eligible to apply" and " If you did not previously register your interest with The Good Guys, and you did not receive an invitation email directly from The Good Guys, you cannot place an order". So even though the page is open, they must be validating against invites for this round.

              @ImpulsePie: Yeah I'm not sure what the criteria was to be considered successful or not. Very open ended. I assumed it was just a registration pool where a random allotment were pulled out and assigned a console. Who knows though.

          Mmmm shouldn't be an issue. If you were invited to apply that means you were successful in securing a unit, it's just a payment link really, you sure you've got the right email address?

            @metroid87: Sounds more like he got an "Invite" email like the earlier round rather than an actual SMS with a payment link. Maybe they've opened up yet another round of applications?

              But still wouldn't let me submit.
              I spoke to customer service and they are going to have a look into it.

                @digitalbath: Does it state the expected date for the consoles to arrive on your new invite/the page when you go there? Original is Dec 15, curious to see if this new one is the same or later?

                  This round closes on the 27th, and successful people need to pay by 28th.

    The goodguys link has been updated.

    It now no longer says people will get an SMS on the 24th it says that they will validate within a few working days and then send an SMS.

    Then it says payment must be within 24 hours of the SMS being sent

      Still won't let me apply via the link in the email I was sent not long ago.
      I am thinking my email has been "flagged" as I applied through the link in here, and don't want people applying more than once.

          I would definitely say so, as I just used my link to apply with a different email, and it was accepted.
          So, will see what happens.

        That's not good, they should be at least be prioritising people from the earlier round before allowing/opening another, unless earlier applications were thrown out due to duplication etc. Otherwise it's hardly fair to those who registered earlier!

              @ImpulsePie: I'd say discarded and blocked. You'd think if they were still eligible, that they would contact those people first before opening up another round.

          VIC - I had a follow up call from JB as well just as a courtesy call to say its ready for pickup and I did asked I was surprised by the pick up email, they said they had an earlier shipment batch, so maybe it will similar other states soon? It's worth a call to JB to check.

    Just got off the phone with BigW head office, they have confirmed that new stock or wave 2 of PS5s are expected within the next couple of days, black friday being the most likely. I asked him how many are arriving in the country he expects it to be around 15k units. Again not sure what to belive but that's what was said

    For what its worth, was in my local Harvey Norman this afternoon. He said December 15th is when next shipment is due. Wait and see i guess.
