I was hoping this deal would also happen for previous Game Pass subscribers and here it is! There is another deal specifically for new subscribers but thankfully old (lapsed) subscribers can now get the deal too. You know the drill, lots of great games to play over the next three months. Xbox Live included for online multiplayer. Over Christmas there are usually some very decent Deals With Gold (Game specials that require gold), so for $1 you'll also get access to that.

You will get Games With Gold (Free games every month) - You get to keep Xbox One games while you have a subscription to Xbox Live Gold. You get to keep Xbox 360 games even when your subscription/s expire. Some months in the past have come with decent games. But it can be hit or miss depending on what games Microsoft chooses to give.

Includes EA Play and the Disney+ trial offer (Claim by 31/1/21. Redeem by 2/3/21).

As far as I know, Game Pass Ultimate includes Game Pass for PC, so I've added relevant details to post.

Note- it works for me and says 47 more days left to join but I'm not 100% sure it will work for all previous subscribers. Based on the comments, it looks like it usually works if you have an expired subscription, i.e. you do not currently have an active subscription. For reference, the last time I had Game Pass Ultimate was August (it was also a discounted deal). If you have had Game Pass Ultimate/Xbox Live Gold (in particular a DISCOUNTED DEAL) more recently, it most likely WILL NOT work for you - Microsoft is being generous but they do not appear to be offering it to those who have recently taken advantage of other special GPU/XBL offers.

Since there appears to be 47 days left on the offer, those with expiring subscriptions theoretically should get access to this deal when their subscription ends (if ending within the next 47 days).

It looks like plenty of ex-subscribers have been able to take up this deal. Sorry to those it hasn't worked for, presumably it has to do with how recent your last Game Pass subscription/discounted subscription/free trial/Xbox Live Gold was.

      Only for people not on expired / elapsed Game Pass Ultimate.
      Not quite sure whether using 1 month voucher for Game Pass (console) would re-activate Game Pass (console). If yes, then there is a chance to back convert up (and potentially take the $1 deal).

          So you have an active subscription… then no, you cannot take this deal.
          But there is a way around it, use account #2, so your primary can still share Game Pass till March 2021.

    OP, unfortunately, it doesn't work for people on elapsed Game Pass Ultimate.

    For people on elapsed Game Pass Ultimate to take this offer, they will need to back convert to Game Pass (standard) or XBox Live Gold and then Microsoft might offer a re-convert for $1.

        Both gold, game pass expired. Ultimate elapsed a month of two ago. Was using 14 day trial vouchers for gold (and those don't seem to switch the membership). Looking at the Web site, Microsoft is showing I am on Ultimate, but subscription has elapsed. No discount.

      I can confirm that. I had a Game Pass Ultimate $1 offer a while ago in the past which expired and I changed to Game Pass for PC.
      I had 2 months of Game Pass for PC and I was able to take this offer so I now have 5 months of Game Pass Ultimate.

            @fredk1000: Technically, I have previously done this $1/month conversion / deal twice. So, if Microsoft lets me, this would be the 3rd time.

            I tried using a Game Pass Console 1 month voucher, hoping it would make a difference, but still the same… $15.

            Before Game Pass Ultimate was introduced, it was a lot easier to get Game Pass Console $1 deals.

    Just to clarify, you CANT have an existing subscription and access this deal. I think OP said old subscribers he meant lapsed, it kinda is a bit confusing but basically u cant have game pass now and get this.

    So many great games in there atm too with Haven, Monster Sanctuary and Jedi Fallen Order etc joining recently. I honestly can't keep up.. i get game anxiety cos i gotta play em all

          Hmmm, mine expired early 2020.
          I waited forever to to see a $1 for a month free offer(or any offer) on the dashboard, that was in October 2020. Joined that.
          That expired in Nov, so a month passed.
          This offer works for me.

          Try again tomorrow I think.

        Found a work around, had to like search for game on website press join then redirected me to website game as it found I had bought the pass then when I pressed install game it opened windows store and let me install game.

    Sorry to be a pain but can someone who said it didn’t work explain exactly how?
    I’ve logged in (via phone) and I’m seeing the banner and offer for $1, but when clicking through to accept the pop up shows $15.95.
    I’m not sure if that means I’m ineligible and it wants to charge me fifteen bucks straight off the bat, or it’s just warning me after the 3 months it will go up to fifteen
    Thoughts anyone?

      No one really knows why. Some people had only 1 conversion to Ultimate for $1, some people were offered twice. Maybe some people are offered more than twice.

      Basically, if you previously had Game Pass Ultimate through $1 deal, the chance of you getting offered again is much lower. If you currently have no Game Pass Ultimate, one possible workaround is to buy it on a fresh new account.

    Not working for me. My ultimate expired in October. I see the offer in the browser but when I open it, it just shows the normal price. If I try it in the desktop app I just get an error
