Intel Gaming PCs: 10400F 3060 Ti/3070: $1498/$1698 / 10700F 3060 Ti/3070: $1728/$1928 [+ $150 Gift Card] + Delivery @ TechFast

$100 (i5) and $70 (i7) price drop from original post

Following on from the Ryzen deals, here are Intel i5 and i7 PCs that also qualify for the $150 Powered By MSI Gift Card promotion, bringing the effective prices down to $1348, $1548, $1578 and $1778 respectively.

You can claim a $150 eGift Card via redemption from MSI - instructions are on the MSI website, but once you receive your paper invoice along with your system, you can submit it to them along with the serial number (read off your GPU) to claim the gift card. We are a confirmed vendor. Note: Adding a liquid cooler to these builds does NOT entitle you to the $250 gift card, because we are not using MSI coolers.

The i5 comes in $150 cheaper than the R5-3600 variant due to pricing structures at the moment so a nice bonus for team blue with effectively identical performance, plus we can offer i7 variants for extra juice.

Use the coupon code associated with each product to apply the discount.

AMD Ryzen deals:

Build times: We have worked directly with MSI and their distributors who have confirmed the stock for these deals to come in throughout January, so the onus is on them as much as it is us to deliver on time. We are also expecting and prepared for a large number of orders for all of these systems, so the expected shipping times are from the middle of January onwards and therefore may exceed the regular estimated 14 business days. Our website states this, and you are acknowledging this by purchasing these deals.

Reminder for those awaiting BF/CM systems, we are back on deck in full production with BF/CM and 3080 [Pre-Order] card orders being prioritised.

Cheers

  • Need to clarify a point that has been confirmed by MSI - only specific qualifying systems such as this one where it is stated on the product itself, qualify for the Powered By MSI promotion, not every system we've sold during the promotion period that happens to have three MSI components.

    • Hey Luke, I’m considering ordering the 10700f 3070 build. Do you have estimate for the shipping time?

      • +1

We should be around the 14 business days from order to dispatch for these systems from this point. Orders placed around the Boxing Day launch should start to ship this and next week into later January.

  • What's stock like on the RTX3080s?

    • +1

We have supply confirmed from Galax for January. It is super limited.

  • For those that ordered their pc on boxing day, what's the expected wait time/date for delivery?
Also what is the avg time for techfast to respond to emails?.

    • Copied from BD deal and have added to this deal:

      • Aight. Guess its back to hibernation mode for me.

@ln28909: I don't often respond to offhanded comments like this but I think this is very untrue - we have 100% local support and although not perfect as no CS is, we set a very high standard for response times, I offer personal escalation here, and more importantly looking after our customers with fair outcomes.

              • +16

@ln28909: Also have to stand up for Techfast as an actual paying customer of theirs and not some bored guy rattling off nothing but 3rd party experience.

They were nothing but transperant with my order. Delivered exactly what was promised in the time frame that was agreed upon as well as taking on special requests for no extra cost that they really didn't need to. My build is still going strong, is neat and tidy as and any issue that did arise (there was a small one post getting the pc) their customer service had it dealt with within a few hours of my initial email. Their customer service was above and beyond and their email reply time was always within the day I sent it (which given how many orders they get, is impressive).

Honestly a person who hasn't dealt with them commenting on what they're like to deal with is as useful and as reliable as any random keyboard warrior with too much time on their hands. And the negative comments you see about these guys are from people who send an email and don't get a reply in 10 minutes.

They are a "cheaper" option for people that aren't quite Tech savvy but it doesn't mean they're a bad option. I've purchased from PCCG before and the cable work they did was as goof as each others. And if you're concerned about the cheaper parts In the build, opt to upgrade or speak to them about what can be changed out.

Would heartily recommend these guys, especially if you're in the market for a 3000 build. And would also ignore people who literally haven't used them as their opinion is worth about as much as a screen door on a submarine.

                • -1

@Ruddaga: Like I said, you are happy because there was no problem with your pc, I would really like to hear your thought once issues arise

I do upvote their 3080 builds, the pricing is fair enough to make up for the gamble, but people need to know that it is a gamble when you do business with techfast

                  • +4

@ln28909: As I said I had a problem. Mistake ended up with some parts not being shipped with it. But they were quick to fix and send them out.

                    • +1

@Ruddaga: well it is very hard for me to quantify "a small one" you know, what does that even mean?

Did they forgot to send a you keyboard and mouse?

Did you order a prebuilt? If so, then how are there parts missing, shouldn't they be installed in the pc?

And I said it's a gamble, doesn't mean bad all the time, even if the odd is 1 to 20, you could still be that one, all I'm trying to convey is, you need to be prepare to have headache when ordering from techfast, don't expect stellar service every time

Also which one did you order, I'm curious?

                      • +2

@ln28909: See this is the reason I didn't initially mention the issue. Because people like you don't read the 500 words I wrote on - VERY HAPPY WITH BUILD, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. HAPPILY RECOMMEND - They just skim read and go - AHAH! AN ISSUE! I WAS RIGHT! And go on to troll every Techfast thread warning people of how dodgey they are etc.

The issue I had was I had some spare parts left over that I paid extra for and wanted them for a spare build and they were left out of the order. Nothing drastically big, but the problem was replied to by the customer service team and the parts were sent to me 2 days later.

I feel as though I've indulged this thread long enough anyways given your entire attitude as a literal 3rd party with no actual involvement in this company as a customer….

parts when I read it the first time, that's why I follow up with my initial comment, until you point out that you did have some problems

                          • @ln28909: You've even gone to the trouble to pc part picker the build. You've obviously got an agenda here ln28909. It's kind of amusing how someone who has no experience with a company is spending this much time trolling a thread about them :D

                            • @Ruddaga: well Techfast drop the price by $100, didn't they, if they didn't, this deal would look really bad

PCPP takes like 2 minutes to do, I'm also in the market for 3060 tis, so I know the rough price of my head already, pcpp just to confirm it

                          • @ln28909: As someone who has also purchased from them before I will state their customer service is excellent.

Purchased a tower about a year ago for my friend in regional nsw. When it arrived it would not power up for some reason.

Their customer service team called my friend and talked him through the trouble shooting. Turns out the power supply cable had come loose in transit. Was a quick fix thankfully.

Over 12 months later and his machine is still going strong.

Have now bought one of these machines and have confidence in my expectations.

                            Can not recommend them enough.

                            • @jimbobaus: Any reputation whether it's a company or a person is not defined by how well they do what they are expected to do, it is how well they do when things become unexpected

A loose cable is a simple problem, a computer running well after 1 year is expected, it is nothing to brag about. However, say a component being doa is not, and i see those story regularly including the lengthy process to get it resolve

You shouldn't expect good customer service from techfast doesn't mean you won't get good customer service, it's that 1 out of 20 people (random number) will face issue that would make their purchasing experience painful

So before you purchase, you should keep that in mind in case you're the unlucky one and not making uninformed decisions

                              • +1

@ln28909: As someone who bought a PC and had issues with a DOA PC (the 1 in 20 you mentioned), one of the pro's of techfast is their customer service. May not be the quickest response but you can't fault their service.

                                • @arkie0: how long did it take to resolve your issue?

                                  • +1

@ln28909: 2 business days to respond to initial fault email.
2 business day for troubleshooting, confirmed DOA gfx card, they provided prepaid return aus post note.
Aus post returned the PC to them in about 5 business days. From this point they have the PC - No automatic response from techfast for about 4 business days, I send an email to follow up.
3 business days to look at PC and confirm DOA gfx card and they offer replacement or full refund. I opted for full refund.
Refund came in about 7 days later.

So 23 business days (close to a month) for full refund. I'm sure a replacement would have taken around the same time. So you initial post about a 1 month replacement is correct, but they way you have worded it people have downvoted the comment but it is true.

Their speed of service may be a little slow to some people but it's still acceptable, their quality of service is high. Speed of service is something you give up for the low price.

You just have to understand and accept their "promises" are purposely worded to not be a promise, which ties into one of their cons - slowness. Again you give up speed of service for low cost.

Example, Luke's response below: "we AIM to reply within 1 business day"… Yes, the aim is 1 business day. The reality is 2-3 business days.
"the EXPECTED shipping times are from the middle of January onwards"… Yes the expectation is Jan, the reality is late Jan.
"ESTIMATED 14 business days"… Yes estimation is 14.. reality is 20+ days.

Even put in a clause now - Our website states this, and you are acknowledging this by purchasing these deals.

                                    • @arkie0: Yeah so I guess we just define quality of service differently, to me a month to resolve a doa is unacceptable, speed matters for goods such as a pc and this is why people buying should proceed with caution

It's interesting to see that the store rep never response again when we get to this point, clearly there's a problem with how they handle doa

                • @Ruddaga: ditto!
I went with these guys a while back and was very happy with their customer support.
I had an issue on setup, not their fault, but it was resolved very quickly with their help.
I will be a return customer.

            @luketechfast: Have to agree Luke.
Customer service has been top notch.
Bought a deal a while back and am going to be buying one of these also. (For friends usually)!

      • Are those who ordered early more likely to receive their systems faster?

        • +1

          Yep!

    • +2

I ordered at end of Nov, still not dispatched.

      • Did you eventually received your PC?

  • is number 1) $1598 or $1798?

Link it goes to is $1798 but post says $1598
    1) Intel Core i5 10400F | MSI RTX 3060 Ti 8GB Gaming Desktop PC(techfast.com.au): $1598 (+ $150 e Gift Card from MSI by redemption) after 10400F-3060Ti-BD

    • 1598 after you use the code: 10400F-3060Ti-BD

  • Base model with PSU upgrade is where the value is at. You don't want an 'allied' generic power supply. Other upgrades (other than 10700 and/or 3070 if you think that's needed) are too expensive to be worthwhile.

  • +2

Whats so bargain about this deal

  • +3

Price drop: $100 per unit taken off i5 PCs, $70 taken off i7 Pcs.

    • how bout the ryzens?

      • No, just applies to the Intel. First time in a verrrrrrrrrry long time that Intel chips are cheaper than Ryzens…

  • +1

Hi I just received my PC from Black Friday, Is it possible to cancel the extra 2 year return to base warranty I paid for as I've realized I'll be swapping a lot of components out and no longer needing it.

I tried emailing and didn't receive a response.

    • +4

Yes that will be fine, the team are working through Public Holiday emails now so you will receive a response as soon as possible.

      • +2

Beautiful, thanks heaps, appreciate the swift response.

  • hi, i ordered a machine from this deal which is current not yet built: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/593842

Is it possible to cancel it and order this one instead?

  • +8

Nothing but bad experiences with this company, bought 2 rigs, one the cable was broken on the HDD on arrival.
Then CPU literally died on one after 6 months to which i sent to them 3 months ago and it is yet to be resolved or sent back. No suprise I bought my own CPU replacement as i'd be without one STILL to this day. Absolutely shocking is all I can summarize my experience with Tech'fast'.

    • +1

Happy to follow up for you if you can email [email protected] with CPU Escalation as the title.

      • +1

Thanks, i'll get in contact shortly.

  • +2

@luketechfast I got some enquiries sent with an email has a subject 'Order status enquiry — TFxxxx631' and didn't get any response, would you be able to check it went through or not?

    • Nothing gets through to Techfast once they have your money.

      • +3

        Including your salt

    • Hi, I can see your two enquiries from today, which have now been replied to. Thanks.

      • Thanks Luke

  • Hi! I was wondering if you have any offers on 3700x + RTX 3070 systems? I couldn't find it on your website. I am very confused between B450 and B550 mobos.
Sorry, I am very new to PC building as I am switching from a mac to PC now. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    • +2

Not at the moment, because 3700X are in very short supply nationally. The B550 is effectively an updated B450. Both are designed to offer more features (like supporting faster RAM speeds) than a lower board, and pricewise sit below a higher tier chipset like an X470/X470. The major difference is that B450's future compatibility with AMD Ryzen CPUs ends with the Ryzen 5000 (Zen 3) series, while B550 has been confirmed to support at least whatever generation comes next too (Zen 4).

      • Thank you very much luke! I was hoping to use a 3700x + 3070 with a B550 chipset so I could upgrade it later iykwim. I guess I would have to probably wait if possible.
Thanks for your help. Have a great day!

    • +1

B450 is end of life at zen 3 (not currently but soonish with a bios update). b550/x570 both will support the next release as well and mostly x570 just has more of what b550 offers but is also a little bit louder. b550 is amazing and they compete against eachother in the midrange.

      • Thank you very much!

  • Does anyone know when this deal expires?
    Cheers.

Also, if we add the water cooler to your build are we eligible to get the $250 eGift card as mentioned on the msi promotion page?

    • From original post
Note: Adding a liquid cooler to these builds does NOT entitle you to the $250 gift card, because we are not using MSI coolers.

  • -1

We have worked directly with MSI and their distributors who have confirmed the stock for these deals to come in throughout January, so the onus is on them as much as it is us to deliver on time.

No the onus is only on you Techfast as we are buying directly from you!

    • +5

"We" are buying 🙄. If you intended on ever being a customer rather than just someone who discourages others from buying from us, you could use that pronoun, sure.

What I am doing here though, is providing some insight into the process as feedback has often been people would like more transparency. This is designed to show that we are not a one-man operation grabbing stock from wherever we can - we are dealing directly with manufacturers at significant volumes, so things can take some time. Potential customers can use that as part of their decision making.

  • If i add cooling will this remove the $150 gift voucher? Your website reccomends "Minimum 120mm Liquid Cooler Strongly Recommended For Gaming With RTX 3000 Series GPUs]" so just wondered what the best option here is. CHeers.

  • +1

Great to see a better case with decent fans at this price point but seems the PSU is in the budget range now for this one :(

All in all though good builds and nice cases for this price range!

Also the support from these guys is really good :)

  • +2

MSI T&Cs say till the 5/Feb, if mid January shipping is further delayed and our system arrives after the 5th, do we just miss out on the $150? Or will you email the GPU S/N and invoice for us to claim before the deadline? Cheers Luke.

    • +6

My guess is it will be delayed and people will not be able to claim gift card. Therefore do not factor in gift card in your purchase decision making.

    • +3

Beware of the tech"fast". People ordered by end of Nov still have nothing dispatched.

    • The purchase period is between November 20th and 5th Feb, and final registration needs to be made by Feb 28th. It won't be a problem.

  • +2

Are you sure these systems are eligible for the gift card?

Under the MSI Ts&Cs there is only one system listed for TechFast:
Techfast AMD Ryzen 7 3700X | RX 5700 XT 8GB Gaming Desktop PC

All the builds have Gigabyte PSU's. Just seen this today on JayzTwocents: https://youtu.be/oXbAZXMmap4?t=153

He warns against them. Personally no experience with them.

    • why would anyone trust a single source especially a content shiller.

  • +3

So price seems not to drop for 2 years.. according to the price history here your r5 2600+rtx2080 was $1439 2 years ago. 2600 to 10400f and 2080 to 3060ti are pretty much at the same level

Still waiting for my PC from the Black Friday sale, I ordered it exactly a month ago.

Same, bought on 30/11 and waited 4 weeks and nothing happened, had to email THEM to confirm they ran out of GPU. Then I paid for upgrade to 3060Ti when they ensured they had it in stock and yet it still needs 2 weeks to be delivered wtf

I've emailed them several times, they said the PC would be ready by the end of this week. Considering Friday is a public holiday, if it's not ready tomorrow I'm gonna be disappointed.

        • They also confirmed mine would be dispatched this week but at this point, whatever, there’s been enough disappointment so far. And Luke if ur watching this, I think selling in stock prebuilt pc would be nicer, comparing to putting a 4-5 week pre-sale waiting period in the front

      • Did you eventually get it? If so, how long (approx) did it take from order to arrival?

        • Yea I did, arrived on 2 Jan I think so a bit over a month of waiting which was quite annoying. All seemed to be fine since then, except the gpu card is too large to fit a WiFi adapter underneath it, also the Lance V case is quite cheap and rubbish. Definitely should’ve gone for upgrades.

Second this, ordered on 27/11 and I've been told it still hasn't been built. What's extra annoying is that other buyers who ordered after me have already received theirs :/

      • This is common for techfast. Doesnt seem to be any build priority.

      • I picked it up 4th of Jan and ordered on the 27th of Nov, so about 5 weeks and a bit including all the public holidays. Best of luck!

  • I think im going to wait til the end of this busy period to order a pc 🙂

Expect yours to be delivered after 6 weeks. I bought mine at the end of Black Friday sale on 30/11, still haven’t even been built so good luck on that

For those interested, I suggest you expect ur new PC delivered in up to 6 weeks or even longer. I purchased mine on 30/11 during Black Friday deal and 30 days later so far it hasn’t been built at all. I know it’s childish and immature hoping it would arrive 1 or 2 days after payment but it’s been whole month ffs! I’ve been slamming the table with my two fists saying “I want it and I want it now”, but there’s nothing. I even had to email them to learn that the gpu in my deal was still out of stock in week 4.

If u bought from these guys before ur happy with the whole thing, then great good for you. But I would never consider buying from them again, knowing other stores sell in stock PC with similar price and open for local pickup or sooner delivery.

Btw customer is alright I guess, I’ve sent many emails to them. Luke has been great, other guys meh really

    • Are you still waiting on yours?

Nah got mine last Friday, and it has been running well.

  • Did anyone notice that this is now on Techfast EBay for about $300 less (the i5 3070) it has a different case but the components seem the same? I ordered a week and half ago argh. That’s annoying
