How in the (profanity) are these stores selling such an in demand item without a 1 per customer limit at checkout? Like seriously, get (profanity).
The serious answer is they haven't invested in the IT systems required to actually enable them to do so effectively.

There’s gotta be a way to do this.. why can’t I just put my name on a list with a deposit and then when someone’s got a PS5 they sell it to me. I’ll buy it in a bundle with a game or something but out of principle I’m not gonna to buy off a reseller.
And yes they gotta be able to only sell 1 per customer, maybe even address. Even if you need 2 in the house you can get 1 for now until others who have 0 get one..
Retailers want maximum profit hence you have an address that costs more to ship to . Your order will be cancelled more often . But those with friendly addresses will be rewarded :)
You return frequently . You will be blocked from buying online from some retailers .

Answer: This way they sell the product and get the money rather than getting the pre-order, you buy elsewhere then cancel with them.
Companies make the sale, get the money, they don't care about people. Hell eBay couldn't have asked for better, they're making a KILLING off short supply. It's literally in their best interest to have this situation.
Bit disappointing having a dedicated tab open and checking daily but still missing out, oh well the wait resumes!

About half a dozen of the free Plus games run at 60. (Until Dawn, God of War and Days Gone play like a dream now from what I sampled)
Ghosts of Tsushima got an official boost too.Honestly though, yeah the saving grace about so many of us not being able to get our hands on a console anytime soon is that there actually isn't a whole lot of new/exclusive games yet outside of Demon's Souls or Miles (And even Miles is cross-gen).
I'd say it's definitely worth it just for the upgrades alone, but not "Run out and pay these (profanity) scalper's prices" worth it.
