PS This a great deal with a great ISP retailer.

    • Thanks, added to description.

  • Assume you just need an ABN? Does this work out cheaper than other deals?

The link is for residential NBN, this deal is for Enterprise Ethernet which is far more expensive

Edit: nevermind the page still shows Enterprise Ethernet it's just hidden under Customize Business Plan then select either Priority or Committed.

FYI - prices start at $199 a month for 100/40 connection on a 36 month contract (min. total contract cost $7,167). 250/100 starts at $290 a month.

Might be an option if you really need fast speeds/reliability and stuck on a crappy FTTN connection. Maybe Libs will have you on FTTC in 3 years time (doubtful).

    • It's a different service to Enterprise Ethernet though.

Enterprise Ethernet is a fibre upgrade available to most businesses.
      Symetrical speeds, eSLA etc…

The fibre runs directly from the FAN to the property.

      12 Months: $5000 install fee
      24 Months: $1250 install fee
      36 Months: $0 install fee

Cost per month from around $400 for 50/50Mbps

    • I remember only 11 years ago that my sister's business had to pay about $750 per month for an enterprise ethernet 10Mbit/10Mbit connection. At the time it was worth it because of guaranteed bandwidth and quick service in case of connection outage (onsite service within 1 hour). Doing offsite backups with ADSL or even just dual bonded DSL just wasn't viable.

I'd imagine with today's enterprise ethernet/fibre services that have to compete with NBN, similar arrangements exist in regards to SLA, servicing and guaranteed/dedicated bandwidth.
