5600X-3070-APR

Hi folks, Ryzen 5 5600X CPUs have come in in decent numbers so we can offer it paired with the RTX 3070 in this new standalone deal.

If you ordered the 3600 | 3070 version from about 10 days ago and want to upgrade, you can do so by paying the CPU difference of $110. This deal has a 256GB m.2 NVME SSD, while the previous deal had a 480GB SSD, so if you want to keep the larger capacity SSD an additional $29 would apply. We can invoice for one/both so you keep your position in the queue; email [email protected] if you want to go ahead.

Ryzen 5 5600X | RTX 3070 8GB Gaming PC: $1998 after 5600X-3070-APR

  • Ryzen 5 5600X 6c/12t processor with Wraith Stealth cooler [we have tested the combo on the Aorus Elite MB and the cooling is fine, but as RTX 3000 series GPUs definitely push CPUs harder you will see improved CPU temperatures with a liquid cooler or your own air cooler post purchase. We don't offer after-market air coolers ourselves due to previous shipping damage problems.]
  • RTX 3070 8GB (brand/model may vary; Galax, MSI, Gigabyte, Asus all being used)
  • Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite motherboard [MSI X570-A Pro and Gigabyte Aorus X570 WiFi upgrades available]
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAm (2x8) (brand/model may vary)
  • Lexar NM700 256GB NVME m.2 SSD
  • Gigabyte P650G 650W 80 Plus Bronze PSU (750 Gold from MSI or Gigabyte upgrade $69)
  • Lance-V RGB ATX case

Shipping estimated towards the back end of this month onwards.

Updates

  • All older Intel and R5-5600X 3070 systems are being finalised at the time of posting (Z490 WiFi upgraded to Z590 at no charge due to stock shortages) so we're back in estimated 14 business day date range for those by end of week
  • R5-3500X / 3060 deal systems in build now and shipping this week onwards
  • 6700 XT orders we're looking at assembly and shipping from next week onwards
  • No substantial update on Galax 3080 orders - updates will be going out direct to customers as soon as we get info from Galax. MSI upgrade orders getting done as GPUs come to hand.

Cheers

  • Newbie question but given the board is mATX, are these full ATX cases purely for cooling? My case will be hidden away so I don't care about aesthetics but I'd prefer a small case if that's an option Luke.

    • The board is MATX and case ATX yep - there are no MATX cases we have access to in sufficient qty that fit the full size GPUs.

  • Crazy good deal, get it while in stock.

  • Hi Luke, what's the eta looking like for these systems?

    • From deal post: Shipping estimated towards the back end of this month onwards.

      • Thanks. If I were to buy one of these systems and replace the hard drive with the one from my current pc, would I be able to boot it up as normal with my current setup? Or is it more complicated than that?

        • +1

If you remove the bundled one and replace it with your current one, easy. If you want both you'd need to set the boot priority via BIOS as we install the OS on the included drive, so your PC would likely default to that. Once booted via your preferred drive, you could reformat our one.

          • @luketechfast: Hi Luke, could you advise about the AIO radiator configuration in the different cases? Are they both top mounted? Also, the Lance-V case is smaller than the MSI one correct?

            Thanks

  • Hey Luke,
Sent you a PM, can you please have a look?

  • I'm peoples experiences what brand of memory and GPU do you end up with?

I just hope the ram is a decent brand and as for the video card they are not all the same are they? Same chipset but I thought I read an MSI or Gigabyte branded one is better than a galax and that's why they cost more? Doesn't make sense you pay the same price but might end up with a brand that is better or worse?

    • Galax is a popular GPU brand, I wouldn’t worry too much. I’ve only had two motherboards go on me, an asrock, and a ASUS ROG Formula Board, with the latter I was screaming

  • Hope this deal can stick around for a few more days- will buy this once payday comes through! Shame the liquid cooler isn't included in the base price considering that chip and the 3070 will pump out a lot of heat.

  • You've got a 256GB m.2 NVME in this post, but it shows 240GB on your website, which is it?

    • -1

The website listing does say 240GB, but rest assured, if you purchased this PC and select the base 240GB M.2 NVME option you will get the model that Luke has specified within the deal above.

      ~ Christian

      • Would this still be the case if upgrading from the 3600/3070 system to this?

Could you please check TF4617142631 and confirm that it will be a 256GB instead of a 240GB m.2 NVME?

        • Yes, you would be receiving the Lexar NM700 256GB NVME m.2 SSD as stated in this deal.

          ~ Christian

  • was just about to purchase this beauty and got to the payment and there's a $114 fee just to use zip pay…, i mean wow…was really dissapoined

    • they're just passing on the fee charged by the merchant for you to select that payment method. Not saying it's right, but that adds to how they manage to pass on the savings elsewhere.
I hear the rtx3070 is delayed and only got 20 in the first shipment, with more on the way. Luke might be able to update but is a case-by-case basis depending on your order number. Curious if anyone has landed one yet though, as the back end of the month is rolling around.

  • Any chance of a discount on total or postage if I buy 2 for the home office?

Just wondering if anyone has received confirmation that their order has been shipped yet

    • They gave me an ETA of around the 8th of May however i order mine on the 17th of April.

      • +1

I ordered mine on 5th April and still have no firm ETA, they indicated it should be this week but have mentioned that the initial shipment of RTX3070 GPUs (20) have already been assigned, not sure how that works…

        • +1

Ordered on the 1st of April for the 3600/3070 build then availed the upgrade but still no update. I've sent a couple of emails but no response either on the ETA

          • +2

@valhund: @luketechfast Luke/Christian, could you guys please chime in as I was under the impression that we wouldn't lose our spot in the queue if we were to upgrade from the 3600 to 5600x

            • +1

@Tavisophical: I just received mine today,
ordered on the 26th Mar 2021 then upgraded to the 5600X when that was an option

I got an email on Tuesday saying it was getting sent out, i did email mid last week and got a informative email (top job, well informed :) )
2 days latter i have got my machine

From what i understood i was 9th in queue awaiting a delivery of GPU's that arrived Monday i believe.

    • Ordered on 7th of April, still haven't received any update.

    • ordered 16/04, mine shipped today 10/05

    • I've ordered on the 20th April. Today is the 14th day, I've sent an email asking for an update yesterday but no reply yet.

Ordered on 8th April, delivered today. GPU is the Gigabyte OC.
    Two major major issues:

    1. The GPU wasn't properly seated or locked into the PCIE slot. It took a while of troubleshooting why I wasn't getting video out before I saw it wasn't even straight in the port. A good shove and click finally fixed that. I would have expected a system that was fully tested to have had a card properly seated and locked in place. Just something to keep an eye out for.

    2. The wrong CPU was installed in my build. My order is for the 5600X, but apparently they've installed a 3600 (as shown from the system info and various other hardware diagnostics), probably assigned from one of their other builds. I would have expected full tracking of each part from build to customer assignment.

    • Thanks for the update, got notified that mine was delivered today. Will need to check it carefully when i get home!

    • Sorry to read of the CPU issue - in theory it's not possible because the serial number scanning restrictions should prevent the incorrect component being allowed, so if we will need to look into it. The GPU would have been installed correctly with protective packaging inside the system, but become unseated during transit - this is often down to poor courier handling. Again we can provide assistance so please email [email protected] with email subject New System Errors or similar, and the team will take a look as priority.

      • I'd already sent an email earlier, but have forwarded it to support as well with the suggested subject line.

I would not have expected it to be possible either. However, my other upgraded components were properly upgraded, so it's obviously not a case of a mistaken shipment of another build. This is the build assigned to my order.

I've had a look into the BIOS, and it also confirms a 3600 installed instead of a 5600X.

Just received my new system today, installed my precious 3070 and now downloading some games. Thank you so much Techfast. Packaging was superb with heaps of airbags and boxes. I probably won this 3070 shipment lotto, and got 3 fan variant. But pls don't let my comment hold you from ordering from Techfast. 2 fan, 3 fan, 3070's are all so capable mid to top range gpu. (For anyone interested my order was placed on April 7th)

    • Thanks for sharing your experience!

I received my PC on the 11/05/21. (Delivered in two days to Lake Macquarie NSW). I paid for it on the 08/04/21. The PC came packed well, the cable management looks awesome also. And the performance on IRacing is astonishing. So very happy with my purchase. There is a little wait to be endured, but with GPU prices as they are at the moment, the wait is a small price to pay. I am very happy with the overall experience with Techfast. and would have no hesitation recommending their Pre-Built PC's. Thanks again Luke, Aaron and Callum. cheers Ian

Recieved mine 12/05/21, purchased 9/04/21. Delivered in four days North West Tas happy with packaging and really happy with communications. All questions (although I only asked three) were answered by the next business day.

I agree with the other happy customers here happy to recommend if you are patient.

  • Hey Luke/Christian,

I received mine Friday (thank you!) and finally got round to putting it together tonight as I chose to assemble myself. I did pay for the 100R case upgrade but having trouble as there's only 2 SYS_FAN headers on the board so I can only plug in 2 out of the 3 fans. Was a splitter forgotten or do I need to source one myself? Thank you

    • I'm not trying to shame you guys or anything, I think you guys are wonderful (I'm a happy past customer). Was just doing this on here in case others have the same issue or can provide wisdom :)

      • +1

It was probably overlooked as it doesn't require scanning out - we can send you one so please ping an email to [email protected] with Missing Splitter in the header and we'll get it sorted for you.

You guys are great. Very fast, helpful, apologetic response from your support team. Its always a pleasure dealing with you guys

I received my PC on the 17/05/21. Super happy with the build quality. Everything is so neat and tidy. big thanks to Luke and the team.

    • Glad to hear people are still getting orders filled as the cards arrive. I ordered late in the queue so I'm still waiting to hear on a shipping date, which is fair enough - first in first out.

  • I got a friend of mine to order one of these. While it's waiting, I was wondering about getting wifi on that board, given the layout of the PCIe slots. I stumbled across https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/392958203170 and while I haven't tried it in the B550M yet, it does work in the 2nd m.2 slot of my z390 aorus elite. Fingers Crossed

Ordered April 20 and arrived today. Gigabyte 3070 Eagle. Can confirm the wifi m.2 adapter I linked above works, so we had wifi and bluetooth from the get go. Thanks team, great deal.

  • Ordered 21st of April, Shipped 27th of May, arrived today 1st of June. 3070 is the MSI Gaming x Trio, shipped separately in original packaging due to heavy weight. Cable management is great, GPU modular power cables were tidy and ready for install, arrived in perfect condition and booted first try.
    Only OzBargain negatives:
-Recommended upgrade is a "Corsair Hydro Series H45 120mm AIO Liquid CPU" for an additional $89, currently widely available for $69
-Gigabyte x570 Aurus Elite WIFI MOBO was $159 upgrade over the B550m. X570 is available to purchase around $250-290 compared to B550m at $160-190

Overall good price and excellent quality in a GPU-less year
