It would be no different if it was a CR celebration and SB posted a deal. Ya'll are too salty.

Let's just appreciate good deals like the website is intended to be :)

  • ShopBack and CashBack are the e-commerce equivalent of collecting cans for the 10c return.

    • +1

Maybe if the purchase price of the drink was 30c in this case, and you purchased and returned 100 of them…

  • +2

Anyone got Liquorland tracking? 2 hrs and nothing yet…

    • I'm in the same boat

      • +1

Same here; used app and credit card for payment. Already picked up my item.

Don't be too down yet as I have found on some of these days with lots of transactions, the cashback platforms can be a bit slow.

        • Mine has tracked now.

          • @Pcoder: Mine still hasn't. It is always a crap wait. I took a screenshot just in case.

    • same

    • +2

I am at 2hrs now and no tracking. BWS purchase last night tracked in 1h 13m.

    • +1

Bloody hell, it takes up to 2 days. Clearly states that on the website.

      • +1

I prefer to wait until order has tracked before collecting. That way I can just let it autocancel if it doesn't track.

        • good idea, too late though, I just collected my one.

        • Thanks for the tip. It's been almost 7 hours and my transaction hasn't tracked.
          .

      • Don't drink anything until it tracks! :)

    • Tracked just now.

      • woohoo, cheap booze

  • +3

I find it so misleading how shopback says it's their biggest ebay flash sale,
Which in my opinion was the 10% off with no cap.
My friend earned 200 back from the 2000 dollar purchase that time

    • +1

'Misleading' is a bit strong - it's their biggest percentage wise after all. Not too many people have items in their eBay wishlist for $2,000 (or even $250). They'll probably have more people using this deal compared to the one you're referring to (so it could also be biggest in terms of volume). But yes, technically they could run another one next year at 30% off with a $25 cap and call it their 'biggest' deal again.

    • For those with lower value ($100) purchases it's a good deal

      • -1

You call $100 worth of purchase low value?

        • I was supposed to say $100 and under.

what does low value mean to u higher or lower ?

  • +4

I can confirm both eBay and Liquorland can be used for multiple transactions, spoke to Alana via chat as well.

I also haven't received tracking for my single Liquorland transaction yet.

    • +1

Is that $30 cap per transaction, or $30 cap for all the transactions?

      • Per transaction

  • +1

18yo Chivas at LL looks pretty good!

  • Does anyone know, if you qualify for the automatic "buy X, get y% off" does this invalidate cashback? It doesn't seem to be a voucher/there doesn't seem to be a way to remove it.

  • Will I receive CB for purchasing from an international seller (e.g., US) on the eBay AU site?

    • Anyone tried this before and knows that it works?

  • +3

Liquorland purchase made 1.5 hours ago. Still waiting for cash back to track.

    • I didnt get mine as well abt 4hrs ago. I report it to shopback, 2 days to get back to me.

    • Has now tracked. 4 hours 34 mins after purchase.

  • Noob question but if something cost $90 on ebay and postage is $30 do i only get cashback on the $90 or the total amount of $120?

    • +4

I'm ~95% sure it will be calculated from the item price of $90, and not from the postage cost.

      • +1

I would say closer to 99%, based on reading lots of OzB/CR/SB/eBay deals/comments, yep, no life here.

    • +2

Message them if they can create the item $120 post included .
      Ask post free first :)

      • Just did, be interesting to see if they can do it. Big company

    • 90 dollars only

  • If I buy from two different stores on ebay (say buying something from two stores worth $70 and $30), will it track as one transaction or two separate ones?

I experienced issues before where only one item from one store is tracked when I bought from two.

  • Dealbot it would be cool if gotyourback is on the thread to answer any tracking issues if it occurs.

  • Worth paying $120 on eBay for items I can get for $105 elsewhere, on the chance that the cashback tracks (dropping my spend to $90)? $15 risk for $15 reward ?

    • +5

Cash is king, considering you need to wait a couple months for your cashback, I would get the item for $105, save $15 instantly

      • yeah, writing this out made me realise that too. And it's actually $20 risk / $10 reward because my gift card rate is not as good as I thought (I had a stash of gift cards bought at good % discount but not enough to cover the purchase, and getting the remainder at 5% through shopback/choice further dilutes the rate). thanks OB hive mind :)

  • +3

Got myself a bruichladdich classic laddie for $99 at liquorland
    Minus 10%
    30% off (when it tracks)
    $63 or there abouts

    $105 at dans!

    Good deal

    • +1

Bought the same. $89.10 with sitewide discount and cashback has tracked as $27. Great dram at $62!

  • When they say multiple uses, is that still a max CB capped at $25-30 or can you do multiple transactions for multiple CBs?

    • -1

Ebay - They have said one transcation

      • +1

Rep told me multiple via chat.

        • Sawed that on Facebook for a Rep. Anyways can you do 3 transcations and get $90 (Capped) or $30 (Capped)

  • What’s the minimum spend amount on eBay to get the 25% cb? There’s 2 things I’m interested in but if there’s a minimum spend it may not be enough

  • Any not overpriced SSD in eBay this afternoon? with around 500GB size, dnt care SATA or NVME..

eBay searching is very confusing with SSD

  • Is this available on Hoyts $11 tickets?

    • +1

Cashback Not Eligible for Gift card purchases, Charity and non-profit items, eBay Plus membership, Cars, Bikes, Boats , Coins, Real Estate, Services, Tickets, Travel & Purchases from Coles on eBay

      Off SB site

  • Will the ebay stack with codes like the $5 ebay plus or the 15% of at Boozebud.?
Usually says to not use any codes.

    • +1

      No

  • So it is on and still no clarity for 1 transaction or multiple transaction as long as not more than $30 cashback in total ?

    • been asking same question but no one seems to know

    • +4

According to some earlier comments, they spoke with SB support and they said it should still apply for multiple transactions.

Now the question is if it will actually though…

      • Multiple as in you can do 3 x $100 and receive multiple $25-30 CB or you'll only receive the maximum $25-30 CB?

        • Multiple transactions, as in separate purchases for a maximum of $30 which is the cap.

      • Are you sure that wasn't for the liquorland deal instead of the ebay one?

        • Yeah I think it was confirmed for Liquorland 100%.

Although someone earlier did mention eBay too that they contacted support.

          • @Notoriousbird: Confirmed for eBay too.

      • How we could get the confirmation in writing from SB ?

        • I had it via Shopback chat.

  • Has ebay started? 3.40pm here in SA

EDIT: How you know it started?

    • It has 4:12pm here shows when you click on ebay

    • check on shopback website seems to have started

  • Hmm. It initially showed 30% for Liquorland but now it's showing 3% for me.

    • +1

Liquourland promo is finished, Ebay promo has started

    • liquorland ended at 4pm aest

    • +2

so use the ebay 25% at Dan's :)

  • Bugger, I was thinking the LL ended at 10, same as the eBay, doh.

Still seems to be a bit confusion about single vs multiple uses/CB.

  • Can anyone confirm that this is valid for Dan Murphy's eBay store?

    • +2

      It's valid, eBay sitewide

      • Even Coles ?

        • No, Coles is on the exclusion list

  • switch joycons $99 at big W Ebay. so $75 after cashback. not bad i think.

  • +6

Don't forget there are still exclusions (from Shopback page):

    • As of 28th October 2019, Any purchases made with the use of Coupon / Voucher Codes are not eligible for Cashback (unless otherwise stated) and will track at $0.00
    • Items with Best Offer accepted prices and Auctions are NOT eligible for cashback
    • Cashback Not Eligible for Gift card purchases, Charity and non-profit items, eBay Plus membership, Cars, Bikes, Boats , Coins, Real Estate, Services, Tickets, Travel & Purchases from Coles on eBay
    • Excludes taxes, fees or additional extras
    • Only purchases made through eBay Australia will earn Cashback. Cashback is valid when gift cards are used as a payment method
  • looks like no exclusion for video games/books. game on!

  • My LL purchase has just tracked after 5h 8m!

    • +1

Surely that's worth a vote on the deal lol.

      • +1

Yes very remis of me. Actually I thought I had but corrected now.

  • Capped at $30 Cashback (Valid for Transactions from 4PM-10PM AEST)

So if the page is to be believed multiple transactions seems fine, $30 cap is probably total and not per transaction.

  • Do you get the cashback tracking notification in Shopback right away? I am already checking this as they have knocked back all my bonus for uber eats and one transaction for Book depository.

    • Ebay sometimes instant for me other times almost a day

  • One eBay item ordered! hope it tracks.

  • My LL purchase just tracked.
My BWS purchase from yesterday's deal also tracked.
Just waiting on the eBay purchase to track now.

    • How long after purchase did LL take to track?

      • 6 hours for me

        • Oh ok, thanks. I won't worry yet then.

      • Few hours for each.

  • I made a purchase on ebay after clicking through from the Shopback website. Green S clearly showing on extension, did the purchase, took screenshot of green S still showing. Not long after my husband comes along and does a clear of all cache and cookies (ggggrrrrrrrr). I check shopback and no click is showing for ebay at all at that time! Would this clearing after the sale have stopped my purchase from being tracked?? I only did the purchase atm to get the upgraded cashback. Damn my husband for always wanting to do cleanups on the computer.

    • +1

Shouldn't be an issue I do that all the time.

    • No, it shouldn't make a difference. Tracking is indicated on shopback ebay page as 7 days (generally tracking is 2 days, but the page has it as 7), with cashback in 60. So as long as you had activated the shopback extension, it should track.

A quick short story. I once did a purchase on ebay with shopback extension running. I came back a little later and was browsing ebay, and the extension came up with a notice saying my last cashback didn't track because I had clicked off ebay and done something else. From that point onwards, I always click in via extension, purchase, close the tab I had open, close the browser, at which point I can open it up back anytime without fear of having issues with a failed cashback.

  • Understand ebay cashback is eligible when paying with giftcard.
However will the 25% cashback also apply on the balance paid using GC? or will the 25% cashback only be calculated on the remaining balance paid using cash/credit card?

    • +2

Paying by gc is ok. Paying for a gc is not ok.
