Wouldn't be too keen on buying a new Intel Mac anymore, likely going to get forgotten soon enough when everything is ported over to M1.

      hence the Clearance :)

I feel the clearance discount isn’t enough in this instance.

    those bezels…

    • +7

      Good for Post-it notes.

      Invented by Romy and Michele.

      • +1

They did not. A guy named Art Fry from the 3M Corp invented them.
(We studied it in business school.)

        • +1

Lol. You need to watch the movie to understand why he said Romy and Michelle.

        • Wasn't he in futurama?
He was a pizza delivery guy, didn't invent post-its.

Bezels protect the screen. Not fashionable but functionally vital.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone buys these at this price at all.

Hmmm….Macbook Air M1 + external monitor is arguably a better buy unless you really want that Retina display?

    • +4

And if you want an iMac then just order a new 24" M1 4.5K Retina variant tomorrow. The $1899 one would absolutely blow the $1897 clearance one out of the water in terms of value.

    • +2

M1 mini for $989 and then $400 on a nice monitor.

      • The 4.5K retina display in the '21 iMac 24" is potentially a very, very nice display though.

    • Depends which external monitor, no one should be using a crappy old pre-retina type thing in this day and age.

      • Agree. If you are getting an M1, you should not compromise on a cheap monitor.

  • +5

Yeah sorry OP but these 21.5" iMacs were total garbage value even before the M1 came out. They'd need to be around half price to be a genuine bargain.

  • They are making room for the 2121 version of the iMac really early!
