You should be fine, although I would hedge my bets and add another 8Gb ram in the second memory slot.

I would spend the extra $216 from Lenova Ebay for the better CPU, extra RAM, storage and overall build quality rather than just the RAM upgrade.

May be a better deal? depending on your budget.

    • It may be a better deal but this one’s perfect for people who have an under $1000 budget for a gaming laptop.

      • Yeah this is perfect for league of legend

  • Rtx3060 equipped Nitro 5 has already launched in many countries. It also features a 5600H processor for those willing to wait a bit.

    • Will it be less than $1000. I'd be willing to wait for that!

  • I have a slightly older but better spec'd version of this. It's pretty good value and I've had no issues. It does get loud when running intense programs and may lag if u run dual monitors whilst playing a game and watching a movie.

  • Got this one prior to xmas at similar price for my son and it's still going strong. Used for stuff like Minecraft, Rocket League, Arc etc. Nothing overly heavy but been used for hours every day. Been very happy.

I'd hope any new laptop would be still going strong after 5 months 😀

      • My Acer Predator Helios 300 failed after 3 weeks, luckily was able to get it refunded…

Well yeah, lol. But there seemed to be several comments about issues with over heating and keyboard trouble. Hasn't been my experience is all. :)

As well as just general disregard for Nitros as being any good. I'm no expert, just saying its been fine for our uses. :)

  • Would this laptop be able to cope with the below recommended specs:

    CPU: Intel Core i7 8700K / AMD Ryzen7 2700X
    CPU SPEED: Info
    RAM: 16 GB
    OS: Windows 10
VIDEO CARD: NVidia GTX 1080Ti or equivalent
    PIXEL SHADER: 5.1
    VERTEX SHADER: 5.1
SOUND CARD: DirectX compatible sound card
    FREE DISK SPACE: 50 GB
    DEDICATED VIDEO RAM: 4096 M

  • Pretty sure there was a deal for this laptop some months ago for $996, but it had a 144Hz panel - rest of the specs I think were the same. Shame this one is only 60Hz.

This laptop would never make 144 fps on 99% of games anyway.
