Shame no "The Online Card" for eBay.

    • +1

omg I'd never seen this online card in-store before.

  • Omg here we go again!

    • dammit i couldve got some use oot of those cinema cards

  • -1

I think these cards will stack with coles spend x for x000 flybuys points promotions.

    • How?

      • maybe im wrong actually

        • +5

Last time I tried with coles mobile, it stacked. This time bought an Amazon GC. Did not.

          • +1

@Rakibul: My experience is the same. Coles Mobile counts but GCs do not.

            • @SydneySwan: This weekend i have shopped twice. 4400 bonus points still missing. Did registered $120 shopping. Should I gibe them a call tomorrow?

              • +3

@Rakibul: I think there are something wrong with FlyBuy system, April I was offered to spend $70 for 4 weeks to get 10,000 points. The system had never given me 10,000 points. I have to give them a call, just be patient, I needed to wait for 45 minutes to get through, and she said she will email the support and need to wait for 10 business day until it got sorted, 10 days later nothing happened and I called again and waited another 45 minutes to an hour and the lady said she could see the last message lodged by me and emailed by another lady to support and she would do another email or message to the support and this time took them 3 days to adjust or add my 10,000 points manually to my account. And also I have another spent $90 get 3600, I have not received the 3600 points so need to call them again to follow up. I recommend everyone to check their flybuys account to make sure your points have been added or updated correctly.

    • +4

Gift cards are usually listed as exclusions for those promotions, and in my experience, third-party gift card purchases never counted towards the spend requirements.

      • While is doesn't count towards spend requirements, it will increase your min spend requirement for bonus points in the future.

    • +3

Gift cards won't stack with points promotion

  • +9

I wonder why the JB Hi-fi is bold…could this be a targeted ad for me? :D

    • +11

Yes, they have specifically targeted you because you are uniquely special… hope you feel better. Have a good night.

      • +4

Thank you for your kind words; definitely helps my anxiety during this interesting season

  • Can you use JB gift cards to buy Nintendo eShop cards?

I saw it on the vooks site but I've always thought you couldn't use the gift card to buy other gift cards.

    • +5

      of course

      • +1

        Fantastic, thanks!

I still have the 15% off ones from last time so I'll buy some eShop cards with those 👍

    • +1

I don’t think you can buy gift cards with gift cards, I think Nintendo eShop cards just don’t count as “gift cards”

      • I thought they would've counted, as Coles/Woolies don't let you buy them with gift cards.

But glad JB are a bit more lenient on the definition :)

  • +3

Where is the 15% from last Christmas.used all I have last week. Now restocking time.

    • +1

But this is only 10% off

    • Only 10% is not worth too much efforts. I grabbed over 4k gift cards in last Xmas. Looking forward another 15% off!

      • +1

Running out right now, so 10% is still savings. Just not worth crazy hunting.

      • +2

So you’re the reason we couldn’t find any gift cards left!

        • You need to be quick mate

  • +1

    This will not end well.

  • -1

I predict there will be pages and pages of comments reporting issues with $0 balances again.

    • +5

Nah, I reckon it will be pages and pages of:

      • "I've searched four stores this morning and couldn't find any stock anywhere."
      • "My local store just restocked, get in quick!"
      • +1

Add the XYZ store imposed a limit on how many gift cards that can be used.

  • Him card should be usable for xbox credit. To buy an Xbox directly from Microsoft.

    • Should be. Also aami/Suncorp member can buy 9% off Xbox card all year round, so not too much saving.

      • Only thing with Suncorp is you are limited in purchasing $500 worth of Xbox giftcards per month.

        • Lol, maybe buy Xbox next month then.

  • This card can only be used in store? Can I buy in gift card with this card instore for online purchase?

    • It depends on the participating retailer and the card you're looking to buy; some TCN cards allow you to redeem on the TCN website part or the entire balance of the physical gift cards for a retailer-specific digital gift card, which would allow you to use it for online purchases.

You'll need to check the TCN website to get a more definitive answer.

      • I am after jb

        • +1

According to the TCN website, you can redeem the balance on a TCN card for a JB Hi-Fi digital gift card, and that can then be used for purchases on the JB Hi-Fi website.

Keep in mind that the JB Hi-Fi website has a limit on the number of gift cards you can use online, plus you can no longer consolidate multiple JB Hi-Fi gift cards into a single JB Hi-Fi gift card.

          • +1

@WookieMonster: Last time I was able to buy bigger value digital gift card with multiple gift cards, in a way consolidating the multiple gift card into one. Did they stop this?

            • +1

@Bigboomboom: I was told in a JB Hi-Fi by a staff member a few weeks after the 15% off TCN promotion finished that head office issued a directive to stop the purchase of JB Hi-Fi gift cards with any sort of gift card (including TCN cards).

JB Hi-Fi also updated their gift card terms and conditions to include clause 13, which was only added as a result of the 15% off TCN promotion.

If you were able to consolidate smaller gift cards into a single gift card in more recent times, I guess that means they haven't completely stopped the consolidation of gift cards.

          • @WookieMonster: Can you please advise how to redeem TCN card for JB digital card? I try to find relevant information on TCN website, but nothing over there.

  • +2

Wonder if JBHIFI are aware this time…..or will more of the spend limits apply/not apply depending on the weather outside….

    • Even they do, that will only be the first couple of days like last time. I used about 20 him/her last week. No problem at all.

      • @ce5himm so can use how many ever you want and get say apple products etc?

        • +2

as many as you like. i'd say. but considering it's going to take long time, better choose a slow trading time like 2-3 pm. be nice to the staff.

        • +2

also, since it can be used both instore and online. just swap all your TCN cards to JB giftcard, and then buy $500 jb gift card from their website using your $100x5.

          • @ce5himm: Thankyou

          • @ce5himm: I try to buy gift card $250 from their website using my $50 x5. But they said that my order not passed their verification process so it has been cancelled.

            We apologise for the inconvenience.
Some things that can influence cancellation can include (but aren't limited to):

            • a request from you to cancel your order before it was processed and confirmed
            • incorrectly completed name or address fields
            • your country of origin or IP Address
            • the country of issue for your Credit Card
            • your email domain
              Does anyone help? Thanks
            • +1

@Steve2710: I did this couple of times, most recent was in April. It works with 320 gift card. I combined couple of my left over gift cards into one.

              • @ce5himm: Maybe i will try tmr. Got declined again !! Thank anyway @@

        • +1

I bought my MacBook Air M1 with the cards. The remaining $200 ish was paid by cash.

  • I just checked TCM web, seems like those cards can now be used at JB both instore and online? When did that happen, I remember last year these can only be used instore. If anyone with experience could tell me how to use at JB online? Need to do swap to JB gc or can be used straight away.

    • +1

Yeah I just noticed that too.

Says this when you choose Online on "how to redeem":

To use your card online simply swap your gift card for a JB Hi-Fi gift card code. Fill out your details and select your denomination - $30, $50 or $100 on the next page and your JB Hi-Fi gift card code will be sent to your nominated email address. Once the swap has been completed, the swap amount will be removed from your physical gift card.

    • +2

I remember last year these can only be used instore.

The Home Card could always be redeemed on the TCN website for a JB Hi-Fi digital gift card, but you're right, the other TCN cards accepted at JB Hi-Fi (e.g. Him, Her) could only be used in-store when the 15% off promotion was running last year.

      • +1

I remember last year the first coles round, only him and her were on 15% off.
would prefer HOME as both jb and tgg

  • No restaurant cards this time! I got a birthday party coming up that I can pre pay with restaurant gift card, which would be nice.

  • If the Pamper and Cinema cards are eftpos cards, does that mean that can be used at anywhere that accepts eftpos or do they have to be a participating venue, How would they be able to diferentiate?

  • +1

Does JB HIFI put a limit on the number of cards that can be used in a single transaction?

I was bummed to find out ebay only allows upto $800 in GC in a single transaction.

    • +4

No, I have used 20, cashier said record for their store was just over 50 cards.

    • eBay allows up to 8 cards. I have used 8x$500, for a total for $4000 before.

    • +2

Actually, eBay Aus allows $1500 GC in one single transaction, $2000 per day. Can use up to 8 GC, less if you use coupons.

    • +1

Assuming you convert your TCN cards into JB Hi-Fi digital gift cards through the TCN website, there will be a limit on the number of digital gift cards you can redeem through their online store.

If you use the TCN cards in-store, there currently is no limit, but keep in mind that TCN may change the card's terms and conditions at a whim and bring in a card limit (which is what they did just before the 15% off sale).

      • +1

there will be a limit on the number of digital gift cards you can redeem through their online store.

Anyone know what the number of giftcards you can use on JB HiFi online is?

        • It looks like it’s five, but you may be able to consolidate multiple smaller gift cards into a single gift card through their website to get around this.

    • +1

No but your invoice print out will be very loooong

  • We can use Coles gift cards to pay for these gift cards, right?

    • Yes

    • +1

Only if you pay the full balance via gift card. If you do part gift card, part cash/card it will not be allowed.

Split payments on Coles Gift Cards are not permitted for gift cards

      • Do you know if this is applicable for coles egift card also?

        • +1

Yes, but only for the full balance as bargain ben described above.

Did this for the last TCN promo.

    • I tried to pay with Flybuys last night. System was not accepting it.

      • +2

Flybuys Dollars and Coles gift cards are two separate systems. Flybuys Dollars is known to be very locked down (at Coles, at least), whereas Coles is known to allow the purchase of gift cards with Coles gift cards under certain circumstances.

        • You can use flybuys to buy Coles group gift card in Target /Kmart. Then use the Coles group gift card in Coles…

          • @fishes2222: Ah sweet.

I know someone on this site once said that you can purchase a Coles Group & Myer gift card using Flybuys Dollars at First Choice Liquor, but I’ve never tested it there myself.

Do you earn Flybuys points at Kmart/Target when purchasing Coles Group gift cards?

        • Can you return Amazon GC bought from coles?

          • @Rakibul: Generally, no.

Coles will not refund gift card purchases, as they are generally non-refundable. I’m fairly sure the POS system at Coles stores is so locked down that store staff cannot issue any refunds whatsoever on gift card purchases, so even if you convinced them to give you a refund, the POS system would stop them.

If you were entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law in regards to your purchase of the Amazon gift card, you would have to contact the Coles head office to get them to sort it out.

        • Can I redeem flybuy points to coles gift card online and then use those gift cards to get the TCN gift card in this post?

          • @yfxsmike: You can redeem the flybuys points to physical coles gift cards. It takes 30 days to arrive your home.

  • +2

I bought last year with the Zip promotion, not sure I'd go to all the effort for 10% tho.

It took a while scanning $30 cards at the store, and the bloke told me someone paid for a 6k TV like this.

I'm gonna say a matter of time before staff complain and they put a limit.

    • +1

Do them a favour and buy the $100 cards… That said, the guys scanning it are very happy to do so, just help them out by ripping the cards out of the packaging and scratching the pin.

      • +4

In what world do you think I'd buy $30 over $100 for a large purchase?

All that was available was $50/$30 and I bought what I found lol

    • 🤣 now we know why jb wants to place a limit on these cards.

  • So these don't expire? I'm thinking about grabbing some to hold on to, to buy other 10% off stuff. We just had that Good Guys %10 off PSN sale, I assume this would've stacked, if I had one of these cards in the first place, right?

    • +1

Except TCN cards don't include Good Guys, JB HiFi only even though they are the same company.

TCN cards are valid for 3 years. Though it seems you can swap them with JB HiFi cards, which don't expire.

      • +4

The Home Card includes TGG, it's right there in the OP:

The Home Card(thecardnetwork.com.au) Adiars, House, JB Hi-Fi, Matchbox, MyHouse, PETstock, Provincial Home Living, Robins Kitchen, The Good Guys, Urban Home Republic, VIP Home Services, Wheel & Barrow Homewares, Zanui

        • +1

Thanks for pointing that now, I totally missed it.

      • It clearly says it on the page? Good Guys and JB = option 3?

  • Looking for Binglee gift cards. Any one can tell me where can get the Binglee discount gift cards.
