Similar to this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/622905 but the loyalty voucher is only $100 discount and stackable for S21 series only. I just got my voucher this morning and it worked. They changed their code to start with ODS- instead of R2B-.

  • I just got given a $100 code on live chat before I even asked for a loyalty voucher. I also asked about losing the $400 bonus if the traded phone is not returned and got given this answer

    • I just tried with my S10 and I get the same error… Appears not an S8 problem.

      • Yeah and I contacted Samsung twice and they asked me to uninstall the app again but still can't..they asked me to factory reset my whole phone which they think might work… 3 trade up id and didn't work. I have almost given up on this s21 deal..- now trying the suggestion on the comment below

    For all the people encountering trade-in errors, I had the same problem emailed [email protected] letting them know my code was not working and it was showing "incorrect/ error occurred" I also provided a screenshot of the errors and the code I got from the trade in-app. Long story they got back to me saying basically to reinstall the app and allow permissions which were already done in the first place.

    The issue was resolved for me when instead of applying the code on the front page where you click "Yes", I applied it on the check out section where you can apply the other discount codes ie. loyalty and $50. Typed the original code in and it accepted it.
    (Done on chrome with PC)

  • Finally I bought S21 Ultra Phantom Titanium at $1009 with $140 trade up value.
    I know everybody talked about keep or send the trade-in device, but is there any proof for the $400 bonus will be charged later?

    • Nope, no credible proof seen here

      The $400 bonus is samsung-issued, whereas the trade is handled by Asurion.

      If you don't send the device, Asurion will charge the initial trade value (as stated in the T&C), not the $400 as they have nothing to do with it.

    Samsung Live Chat is so inconsistent it's not even funny but good result nonetheless.

    I chat to someone who gave me $100 voucher straight up without asking for a photo. I do have a note 10+ with damaged screen and non-functioning touchscreen

    Then I had no luck getting the $50 voucher to come through although a good samaritan from ozbargain sent me one this morning.

    I then heard from somewhere that I should have received a $200 voucher for my damaged note 10+ rather than a $100 voucher.

    Went on live chat again then I was asked to send a photo of the damage along with the IMEI number to an email address and after a few hours I was sent a $200 voucher.

    Amazingly the $200 and $100 vouchers stack as well!

    Ended up paying $909 for 256GB S21 Ultra 5G. Awesome deal!

    Perfect timing when my note10+ touch screen died on me after a numerous drops

        • seems like in the last few days they were not giving the $50 codes away. I've applied w 3 different emails and 2 names over the last 3 days and have not got any. I have now ordered s21 anyway coz the $400+$100 is still a great discount. Plus I will get a TRS since I am leaving in 2 weeks :) p.s. trs is the 10% you get the the airport when you're leaving overseas in case you've forgotten ;)

      • I doubt you can get this consistently. I think I just lucked out.
        When I chat to another agent to follow up the $50 voucher, he told me a different story saying they no longer issue $200 codes and only issue $100 codes.

        I got the $100 voucher through Samsung live chat and when I chat to Samsung Australia live chat, they asked me a series of questions to assess whether I qualify then they gave me a reference number to include in the email header to send off along with photos of my damaged phone and IMEI number. I then received a response along with the $200 discount code the following morning.

        • Which livechat and which category did you use [product, order, support], because the support ones always ask to send an email and photos of the phone. I have tried to find that link you mentioned to the one which doesnt ask for the email in this thread but couldn not find it anywhere.

      When did you do the transaction? it seems like the $50 one doesn't work anymore.

      • did it at 10pm. Make sure you only use one $50 coupon (MA_____), as they don't stack. So CDS, ODS and MA all stack with each other to reduce price to $350.

          • @F1ProjectOne: My family member had a s20 phone that I used for loyalty voucher. I had an s4 phone lying around too for the ODS one. Got the CDS from live chat too, seems like it just depends on who you get.

      It seems too early for anyone to know exactly if $400 will be charged. Should wait a couple of weeks more.

        Unfortunately you only get a week to return the old phone. So take the gamble and see what happens or just take the bitter pill and send it back.
        Multiple people on here have said that they weren't charged the 400, just the value of the old phone.

  • Has anyone actually received their phone yet ? Me and my friend ordered and it's been around 2-3 weeks and it's still processing, We did order the colours they had listed as "custom". I would thing it would not that long when they only had 5-6 available colours in total.

    Just an update for all that are wondering. Asurion only charged me the trade in value on my phone that I didn't send in. They didnt charge the $450 bonus trade in amount.
