  • Worth the upgrade from the 4?

    • yes

      • Is it just a bigger screen?

        • oxy meter, and the price :)

        • the huawei mate / honor band 6 has a much better design for the screen with similar features

but the price never seems to go down ;(

    • +1

      He'll yeah

    • +2

I'd say no, not unless you really want the oxy meter.

If you've got a 3 or earlier or no smart watch then definitely worth it though.

  • price has been bumped up - now $49.95 (after code)

    • Phew.. just got in at $39!

      • +1

now i am confused. did a refresh & it's gone down again (back to $39.95), so ignore my comment

        • +1

Yeah, for some reason during checkout I got an error "seller updated the listing", looked and everything was the same .. continued on and I got it at $39. Maybe just a bug?

          • @dm02: just checked the listing revisions & they have been playing with the price while we've been looking.

    • I had the same thing happen. I went back to the listing and then clicked Buy Now again it was back to 39.95. So I quickly went through the checkout before it changed again.

  • Thanks bud, was wanting a new smartwatch.

  • I am a plus member, but it shows afterpay discount applied only to me.

    • PTUEST code can only be used once each week. You may have already used the code on another transaction.

      • Oh, thanks.

  • +4

Great, been looking for something to track my female's health.

    • easier to count to 28.

  • Anyone know if the Xiaomi Mi Watch Revolve Active that just got released in India will get a worldwide release?

    • +1

Oh wow that one looks nice, currently on sale for $160aud equiv.

      • Yeah i really want it haha. I'd rather spent the extra (without breaking the bank) and get a good watch with 9-14 days battery life.

        • The mi band 6 already does the battery life that long, and the watch mentioned isn't any "smarter" in any way… but it does have a normal forma factor which is nice.

  • Thanks!

  • +13

What advantage does this have, over say a Fenix 6. Which I could also afford

    • Price, weight and size? Lol

    • Fenix 6 has GPS

    • +6

God I love a cheeky Simpsons reference.

  • With the $50 voucher u get from signing up to eBay plus can you buy multiple items in the same transaction to use the full $50?

    • I think so, but you can't use promo code with the $50

  • How big are these? Would they be ok for a 6yo kid to wear?

    • +2

Borderline too long (not big) on my 10 year old's wrist.

  • NFC? ;)

  • Thanks OP! Signed up for Ebay Plus just for this. Not a bad price even with the $4.99 subscription fee.

    Don't forget Cashrewards.

    • sorry for being a newbie, how do i do Cashrewards for this one?

      • +2

like you haven't heard of Cashrewards before?

Cashrewards and shopback are third party websites where you create an account and click through to select online stores. After your purchase is tracked, you get a small percentage to your cashback wallet which you can withdraw to a bank account.

        • +1

thank you for that one, found out that i just need to click on the link for cashrewards, and then login onto ebay, and that was it :)

          • @baiken6273: Make sure to turn off any adblockers. The browser addons are handy to confirm that the sale is tracking.

The honey app does interfere with tracking. Please be aware also that some purchases might not track and you will have to submit a claim. Shopback are pretty bad in my experience. So in my view don't buy something just because of a cashback but consider it a bonus.

      • +1

Just need to activate it when you purchase in your browser, or go through the CR app. Paying with Pay Pal might help too.

    • +1

      Don't forget Cashrewards.

No cashback If a coupon code is used that is not listed on Cashrewards.

  • No GPS :( The main reason I want something similar is so I can go for a run and know my speed without having to carry a phone in my pocket. Does anyone know the cheapest activity tracker that has a GPS?

    • +1

I'll guess you'll have to wait for mi band 10?

    • +1

Aldi have a watch on this weekend that does GPS.

      https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/online-catalogue/?c=…

    • +1

Not necessarily cheapest but perhaps HUAWEI Band 4 Pro

    • +1

Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite posted a few posts above.

    • +1

Got a Bip S for the missus a couple of months ago as she was also wanting to run without phone. She's pretty happy with it. Chose that over the newer models for longer battery life (40 days quoted, real time about 2 weeks with GPS for one or two runs a week vs 9 days quoted on Bip U)

Was down to $77 last week from Amazon US, currently $93 from Amazon UK

If not in a rush slap a camelx3 price watch on it and in the meantime give that Aldi watch a try for 60 days.
They don't go so far as quoting battery life but mention its a 360mAh battery in this promo

(Just saw Mi Watch Lite looks like your cheapest option)

  • Ordered, Thanks op

  • easy to turn off bluetooth and wifi? work in areas where they're not allowed..

    • +2

As far as I know, doesn't have wifi and there is no easy way to turn off bluetooth.

      • airplane mode?

        • If they've added in the 6, but previous models don't have it. Don't see mention of it anywhere though

  • +1

$38.75 if paying with the gift card from Suncorp

    • You can't use both a gift card and promo code in the same transaction?

      • I just did.

        • Damn, didn't know that and i am a Suncorp member. Oh well, next time.

  • Is this able to measure Heart rate variability? Or only heart rate?

    • Haven't seen it do HRV, and it also does not offer continuous oxygen reading.

  • Well time to get a new one, my other one the band broke twice and fell off my wrist so who knows where it is now!

I did buy a replacement band which didn't even fit it.

  • Got Mi Watch lite instead of Mi Band 6.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/636304

Mi Watch lite is missing PAI, Sp02, 30 sport modes

Mi band 6 is missing GPS

  • can we really read/see the notification for example sms or whatsapp on this band? my 4c band is way too small to read

  • This or Mi Watch lite?..hmmm

  • +5

Anyone thinking about buying this product, watch carefully this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFrxr1LYU0I to see why Mi Fit is a very poor fitness/health tracking device. If you're only after notifications and basic step monitoring, it's then just ok.

I have changed my mind after watching and ended up buying a Fitbit Charge 4 instead from Amazon (Prime day) for $99. It's a much better health/fitness tracking device.

  • Can it change songs?

    • Yes

  • +2

i heard the sleep meter is not accurate at all no where near the apple watch than again im not expecting a 50 dollar device to match the performance of a 400 dollar watch

  • I really want the oximeter, been after one for a while. However I was wondering how reliable these are for that purpose? My purposes would be to check my SpO2 levels when sleeping so I know if my snoring/sleep apnea is a problem or not mainly. I could also potentially use it while I exercise if it's worth while for that, although probably rather just use my current watch with gps

    • Fwiw, it was pretty useless for me.

    • +1

      Found this decent review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFrxr1LYU0I

The conclusion from that was the honor band 6 edged out both this and the huawei band. Dude looks pretty thorough with his testing and explains everything clearly

On my question, it seems that while the Sp02 is quite accurate, the sleep tracking is pretty bad, so it still might be ok for me as a test for a day or two, but probably not something I'd use all the time (i only plan on using it to know I don't have an Sp02 issue)

  • +1

    Very quick… it’s posted now

    • I got mine yday.. really impressed with the features for this price..

  • +1

Decent price indeed. Was tempted but as I have a MiBand4 already not seeing this as a major upgrade. I like that the Mi4 lasts me a month between charges. Nice post though and very nearly got sucked in!

  • can we increase the font's size? to make easier reading the notifications

  • this any good to replace a Garmin vivosport that has done 3 years and is now struggling on battery?

other than the obvious not being able to link the Mi to Strava (don't do that now), is the Mi band 6 a step down, or a step up (or a step sideways!?)

I really use my band for controlling music and receiving notifications on the wrist, and for step and heart rate/sleep tracking, never use the gps feature.

  • -4

I am only able to buy one, when I switch another plus account with same paypal, it does not work….
Would be nicer if I can get 2.

    • +1

Don't be greedy!! Be thankful that you even got one.

  • I'm so annoyed I missed this. I was on the phone to my father trying to help him decide whether to get this or the watch.. Get off the phone and the code has expired. Even signed up for a 30day free trial with eBay plus 🤦‍♀️

    • +5

Yeah, been there done that. You know the good ole OZB rule……..buy first decide later.

  • Waiting for the next sale 🤞
    Hopefully soon
