    Damn that's a funny looking RX 6700XT

    • +8

even says in the description its a 5700g……. really looks like someone just through a heap of random info at the add to see what sticks lol

    • +7

the rx 6700xt is inbuilt into the cpu

      • Probably in next 8 years time (after 4 more iteration of GPUs). Definitely not before that.

        • +2

Would be more like 15 years, current integrated graphics are still far off. Though interesting to think about. Imagine when we get to the point of having the equivalent of a 3090 in a cpu. Makes me feel like I will miss out on a lot of cool stuff in the next 200 years. Guess not robot slaves and quantum computers for me in this lifetime.

          • +1

@badjazy: In 15 year everything will the ray traced and Raster might dissapear. But yes, If humanity does not destroy itself in the next couple of decades. Probably will miss out on a lot of things.

          • @badjazy: SAME SAME SAME.. once we have Nvidia RTX3090 performance in a CPU.. it wont run any of the games in 2030 over 35FPS and will be Just good enough for some old school gaming just like the current CPU-APU's that are as fast as 10 year old GPU's now

            • @vid_ghost: Better be a 700 TB game that can emulate life.

    • Even the review says processor

While this AMD Ryzen 7 5700G is the best when it comes to having 8 Cores / 16 Threads and have a built in Graphics Unit. A Handful of things make this absolutely a NO BUY for me.

      1. The PRICE!!!! This item should only be $359 USD Retail. I see now the price as of this writing is $1,049.99

      2. Even though this Unit only has a 65w TDP, It is only being paired with a Wraith Stealth Cooler. This might as well as be a slap in the face. If AMD was going to include a cooler then why not the Wraith MAX or Wraith Prism, Even the Spire would have been better. I wouldn't use the Stealth for anything over a Ryzen 3 w/o Overclocking. Why include a Cooler at all?

      3. These new APU's the Ryzen 3,5,7 don't have PCI-E Gen 4 support, we get limited to Gen 3.

      4. It should be Illegal to sell Retail items higher then the original prices. I can understand maybe a $10-$20 mark up for taxes and shipping but these prices are just ridiculous and wrong.

Just please beware… If we all refuse to pay these outlandish prices then the prices have to fall.

    LOOOOL

    Lucky dip
    6700xt or
    Ryzen 7 5700G

    • +7

There is no luck involved there, definitely 5700G

  • +4

    Model Number ‎AMD Ryzen 7 5700G

  • PlatformLinux, Windows
    Wattage65 watts

  • Is it worth ordering still?

    • +17

Best case: You get an RX6700 XT
Worse case: You get an Ryzen 7 5700G and will have to return it

Slim chance of getting the GPU so you can decide whether it's worth the time and effort to try

      • No worries, OP's time is worth nothing

  • "They said they will make it right", do you have a screenshot of this conversation?

    • +10

aka send it back and we'll refund you

    • +10
      • +1

Did you talk to Amazon AU or Amazon US?

Amazon US' makes it right is that you sent the item back for full refund and paid for the postage first (keep the postage receipt). They will rebate the return postage once Amazon US received the item. Then, you'd better check the exchange rate to ensure you are not worse off, otherwise it is another chat with Amazon to get the difference paid to you.

That was the case for me last time Amazon US which sent me the wrong item.

      • +4

Make sure things go right as in, you return the processor and get your money back

      • +11

The support agent was George Michael? I don't think he is with us anymore.

        • +13

You gotta have faith it's the GPU you're getting

          • @Caped Baldy: Last Christmas I gave you my Ryzen 7 and the very next day, you gave me a RX 6700 XT.

Ok it's a stretch on the George Michael song front. Sorry! ;)

        • I got George Michael too. He said I was the 10th person asking about this product. He also confirmed it is a GPU and if it’s not he will make things right for me.

    • -3

when they promise to "make things right for you", I assume that means make sure you get a RX6700 XT and not a $20 sorry voucher.

      • +4

You’re the only person that assumes that. Everyone else just hopes it would be that but knows it’s very unlikely

  • +2

This is the listing on Amazon US, with the same ASIN

    https://www.amazon.com/PowerColor-Graphics-Dual-Fan-Architec…

  • +9

they said they will make it right

    = refund + possible ~$20 Promotional Credit

    • what are the chances they will let me keep it and refund me at the same time?

~ asking for a friend of course

      • +6

        0.000001%
        Probably

      • +3

Very little chance. You will most likely have to post it back and wait for them to receive it before they refund you the money.

        • +1

ah dang it.. thanks i will pass this on to my friend if i ever had one. cheers

      • Amazon will pay for the postage, so if you don't mind them holding your money for a while it's relatively low risk, just time and effort organising the refund and going to the post office.

    • +8

I got $10 last time I bought one of these "deals". It didn't even get shipped to me, just cancelled and $10 credited to my account.

      • +5

        Free $10!

        • +3

Hey, I ain't complaining! Battlefield 5 went on sale shorty after for a $10 so I got a free game out of it.

  • +15

you will get a amd cpu and have to return it later so not worth the hassle

  • No chance

  • Well.. no harm in trying :D

    • Of course, it's your credit card so feel free to try it. Certainly no harm to other OZBers if you try.

      • credit card? wut?

  • 6700 XT in a square box?

    • +4

      Yeah… It's TINY ITX size /s

  • +3

Yeah no chance this is real at that price.

  • +4

    ASIN > Description.

    It's a CPU.

    • +1

It depends on where you look

      In Product description:
      Part #AXRX6700XT12GBD
GPU Chipset Radeon RX 6700 XT

      • +5

That's still the item description. The ASIN identifies what the item is.

      • +1

That part number is in the description..

      • +2

Yeah no. This item, stored in a database, will reference the ASIN as a single field and be useful for identifying the product. "Description" will just be a long free-form text/image field useful for displaying a webpage, but not useful for inventory management. No system will pull out the model no. from the description box to identify an item in inventory.

See this mouse for comparison, the "Description" is just marketing verbiage, no table/specs, no model number: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B094PS5RZQ/

  • +6

Some Amazon employee is getting fired today.

    • -1

Or not, because all they will lose is some postage and promotional credit which people will make use buy more stuff from them in the future

      • +3

Do some research on Amazon working conditions. Someone is definately getting fired.

  • +2

No way you get a GPU here…

    • +1

well you do get an iGPU

  • +9

Dont waste your time, dont bother having your money stuck doing nothing for a month.

If you remove the .au from the URL it's just the CPU.

    • Thanks, this should be the first comment!

  • +9

Super negging this. Why would you even waste your time and ours by posting this?

    • +2

Hey what if someone is looking for both a 6700 XT and a 5700G??

      • +3

Ahh Schrodinger's CPU. Unlimited theoretical power until you receive it.

        • -3

          The 2nd ah was unnecessary.

    • +1

Is this different to a normal neg?

  • +1

They fixed it. hmmm took me to a processor then clicked again took me to a graphics card

  • Only 9 left .

  • Well OP said he checked with Amazon Support, so it could be possible?

    • +1

Nope. Has not worked all the other times people have posted deals with similar list issue.

  • I've been HODLING OFF!

  • -5

    Absolute garbage post.

    • +1

Why are you being negged? It's really annoyed me because I religiously check for GPU deals and (very) briefly got my hopes up.

      • +1

I'm not sure, but I'm okay with it. I used to care back in the day, but now people neg just because their feelings get hurt, not when someone is saying an untruth.

        • +2

Yeah, probably due to all these Covid-19 lockdown, people spent most of their time sitting at home and suffering from butt pain.

      • -1

because lots of hopeful idiots here

  • +4

HOLD until we see how they list the Ryzen 5 5600G. Might get a 6900XT

  • -3

    6 left .
    Should I buy another 5 ?

    • May as well go all in. The effort of returning one CPU is about the same as returning 6
      /s

  • +11

Just had a chat with support. It's an error and they will be removing this from the website until this is corrected.

    DO NOT BUY

      • I think you'll be lucky to get a $20 voucher

        • why would you get any voucher? If they've figured it out before sending it, there's next to no inconvenience.

      • +1

You'll get a firm handshake and you'll bloody well like it.
