Thanks OP, TBH if Amazon sends a GPU this is definitely the deal of the year.
Worst case scenario they send a CPU and I'll just have to raise a refund, no harm done!

  • I am wondering who brought the most here?

  • +6

I did a ozlotto and bought the GPU. Talked to customer service and confirmed I will be getting the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT. They said if I get the wrong product i can just return it and they will process a refund for me and will provide a voucher.
So basically best case scenario is that I will get the GPU …
Worse case is that I get the wrong thing, return it for a refund and voucher.
    Hope it goes well… Haha

    • +4

Worse case is that I get the wrong thing, return it for a refund and voucher.

Yes and wait for a month or refund you before ship.

  • +1

Nothing better to do so I rolled the dice too

  • +1

If people have money to hold then you can try it but pretty sure you will get the cpu. I had got a free psu once from Amazon as they refunded me the price and also after few days item got shipped. So you might hit a jackpot.

Hopefully you guys will get a voucher for the month of hassle.

    • So many people have said, Amazon don't charge you until it ships.

  • No. Unless you really want to buy a 5700G at RRP.

  • -3

OP is a Hero if it turns up as there is more profit than a PS5 lol .

  • have fun, i have been refunded before…

    • I have also pull off some AMZ $1 price errors supplied in the 100's that will never be published :)

      • haha what was the original price?

  • +3

It's a Ryzen 5700G. You can check the original listing by going to actual Amazon US by removing the ".au" in the url.

  • +1

    confirmed GPU, otherwise, refund.

bought two, wish me luck :)

  • +1

Sorry robot can only pick according product code B091J3NYVF

  • -7

Only a few left on back order : Cart subtotal (46 items): $26,143.18
I'll flip a coin if to still continue hehe .

    • that’s a lot of money

  • Ordered one, returns with Amazon been pretty easy.

  • -2

    Amazoing price!

  • If it comes will need to make a whole new pc from scratch 😂

  • Thanks OP.

I knew all the HOOOOOOLD would be worth it.

  • Thanks OP! been holding with my GTX 1060. Welp.. wish us all luck with this.

  • Bit the bullet.

Tried contacting Amazon US, they cant do shit. They cant even see the orders made on Amazon AU.

Had a chat to Amazon AU customer support, they have no idea at the moment either.
But they did say if its not a GPU then you can return it for a full refund + return shipping reimbursement.

Still going to hold for 6800xt in a few months. In a year or so I would regret getting 6700xt and my 1080ti is still going strong. Tempting at this price though.

  • 2 left my stuff is over .
    I'll go for a walk :)

  • Did the price just drop to $567.58?

    • Now Amazon will see a huge surge in hundreds of cancellations then re-orders.

      Bargain Baby!

  • Thanks op bought one

  • NB recently for returns..

amazon, hasn't been given back, the full amount on postage for returns..
They give you a set amount which cannot possibly cover the return postage and insurance

I think, its then up to you to fight for the difference…

I couldn't be bother fighting over $10- $20 of postage..

    • my amazon chat said they'd pay for return postage.

      • I got $79 refunded through return postage the day before yesterday with some convincing

    • +2

When i return something to amazon US they just give me a shipping label to print and that is that. No payment or anything

    • I had 5 bucks discounted from a keyboard

  • -8

Wait, shouldn't this video card be $299? Why are you guys paying so much for low end graphics cards? Back in my day a 7970 which was a high end card was $450, a medium card $299 and a low end card $199. What happened? Beetcon?

    • +6

      grandpa, is that you?

      • -2

Yes Sonny, want some cuddles and a milkshake?

    • +1

      go away, grandpa

    • -2

Back in your day, your $450 when converted to today's currency will be like $4,500…

    • +4

What happened? Inflation + Mining + Scalping happened.

      • Mmmm, love the mining.

  • Bought, looking forward to my $20 Amazon credit for the annoyance of sending back the item.

    • You'll probably just receive an email saying "Suck in".

      Sorry guys

      Apology accepted

  • +2

Makes sense that when the warehouse fulfils the order their PDA will tell them to pick the same SKU that is listed on US and UK. Which is the ryzen CPU

    • +1

I think that SKU pick list part number will be the one higher up in the listing which reflects the GPU.

      Description
      Part #
      AXRX6700XT12GBD

anything below is more that product information.

not arguing just could be either way

  • +5

pulled the trigger. heck, just treat it like my bank freezed a 500 buck paycheck for a few weeks,no biggie.

talked to george michael as well and he confirmed that it is indeed a gpu and im the 7th person to ask about this item today.

good luck to all. worst comes to worst gotta do a return n refund i guess.

    • +2

      George Michael… Lol

      • +2

        You gotta have faith!

  • Anyone else ring up and checked?

    • +1

Yes. I chatted with the amazon cs right after I bit the bullet. Got the george michael everyone else in the thread got. and he reassured me that it is indeed a graphics card, that I do not need to worry and they will make it right if it goes wrong.

Sure its pretty much just standard c/s speak, but im going to try my luck. You make your own call

      • +1

Interesting. There must be a few different teams. I had a rep and their manager both say it was a CPU today and the listing was incorrect.

        • I’ll give em ring tomorrow and see

        • for this card it is the George Michael team. He thinks he is still alive. If you've watched the R.I.P.D movie, you'd know what I'm saying

      • I’ll give it a try..

  • I wish there was a RemindMe bot on here.

Wouldn’t mind seeing the outcome of this ;)

    • -5

I hope the neg guys don't cry too many tears when this win comes and OP deserves a beer .
Everyone says I should have been a diplomat .

      • +1

You can always cancel the order in a week or two if you find out any more info as well since it’s a back order

    • +3

There is - tap the reminder button just under the deal

      • Oh sweet, thanks! I feel like an idiot

  • Price just changed to $739

    • still the same for me

    • $567.58 for me

    • Clear your cache

    • +1

      $739 is a different seller

  • +1

    Alive again 36 available .

  • -1

If you have money to buy this buy ETH instead… maybe you’ll have enough money to buy an actual 6700 XT in a month :)

  • +4

Bought one. If Covid and lockdown has shown me anything, it is live a little, take risks, visit that place you always wanted AND GAMBLE ON A GRAPHICS CARD FROM AMAZON

    • Visit the pace you always wanted even when you are in lockdown?

      • +1

I waited ages to book a trip Scotland. Finally booked it - covid cancelled it. Just saying sometimes the best time is now not later. I know we are in lockdown and we can't travel, but just putting things into perspective (AND BUYING A GRAPHIC CARD THAT I REALLY HOPE COMES BUT WON'T- WHOOOOHOOO)

  • The price went up to $739 now :(

    • +1

Nah it’s still the same, might be on the wrong seller

  • +2

Its a cpu amazon rep confirmed

  • Model Number ‎AMD Ryzen 7 5700G

    OP in shambles

  • +2

Just spoke to Amazon. They said we won’t know what it is until Amazon US replenishes stock at end of August. Could be CPU, could be GPU. No one knows at the point 🤷‍♂️

  • Garnish said that it is definitely the GPU

    • Who’s Garnish?

    • Actually George Michael.

  • -1

Be careful Amazon US only partially compensate refunds, I sent an item back, $67 AUD out of pocket, got only $21 back.

    • Did you buy directly from Amazon US site, or was Amazon US the seller on the AU site?

    • +3

Not if it is a mistake.

    • I've sent stuff back to the US and been fully refunded.

  • +1

This is most likely a 5700G. RRP aligns with the 5700G.

    • +1

Yep, and posting the CPU back to the USA for refund is stressful. I had to post a motherboard back USA amazon and that sucked.

      • How is it any different to posting to amazon au?
