EB Games now has the PS5 disc console up for preorder again on the website. It looks like its not available for delivery, only for pick up in store.

Considering the 7000 ppl who clicked the link preordered and paid $200, they just got a temporary loan of $1.4m.

Don't get too excited. It may come after Christmas with the amount of preorders being accepted. Keep expectations low and if an offer comes up somewhere else then it may be worth purchasing that one and cancelling your preorder.

Sure, you can trade-in anytime between order and pick-up day. You'll be subject to the rates at that particular point in time though.

I called my local eb and they have a deal $250 trade for a PS4 Pro with a controller
depends if you're in lockdown too. my local shop currently blocked from trading in or accepting returns. telling me to come later after lockdown as their system simply is locked out and they cant do it if they tried…

Yeah there is no way all these orders are gonna get fulfilled.
Didn't some people who preordered before Christmas have to wait a couple of extra months to get theirs? Or did they get it on schedule?
Didn't really keep up with EB past the first day of preorders but they were really clear about which wave of stock they were offering preorders for (launch day, late 2020, 2021, etc.) Would have to assume that all of these will be fulfilled by the end of October since they didn't change their messaging around the availability dates at all today.
They could be, EB Games are pretty cautious with their allocations. Also Sony have been pretty upfront about ramping up production, and EB Games have had some time between drops.
Any news on digital stock?
EB Games refunded me my deposit. I think a lot of these are not going to be fulfilled. :(

Email order confirmation from EB was received at 9.20am.. No refund yet! I'm assuming I'm safe! I wonder how many there were available?

@impoze: I got my $200 refunded this morning so looks like my 9.20am was too late also. No email or anything.
Does it say refunded on your EB orders page?
@impoze: I just checked my original email and clicked view order and yes it confirmed refunded. I'm not sure if it's because I did it as a guest and not a member account, I thought I got in pretty early, not sure if they give priority to actual active members. The stock must be pretty limited and might also depend on the store and how many they are getting. I dunno.
@Justin9mm: If there's any "sense" to make of it, they could be treating all guest checkouts as potential scalper purchases. But surely there'd be a better way to filter them out :/
My order page has now been updated with an Estimated Release date of Friday 1st October

This reminds me of the people who preordered at ebgames before launch but still had to wait several months afterwards to actually receive their ps5.

Hope not, but I think this time is different as there is a known expected big shipment and I assume the October date is safe date like the Series X for people who pre-ordered and the shipment arrived earlier and expected to receive in the next week or so. If they are refunding deposits then I'm guessing people who aren't refunded will get them by the expected October date.
